Philippa sighed wryly as she massaged her aching temples, and Daphne upon seeing that knew that things weren't good at all.
Philippa must have been defeated badly. Not just badly but she must have suffered a heavy blow. After all, would it make sense for the mother-in-law to even help this daughter-in-law she wasn't even close with?
If it wasn't desperation, Philippa wouldn't have shamelessly gone there to seek help. It seems that the plan has backfired.
"Daphne, that old hag …. Damn, that woman is crazy. I am so angry the more I think about it," Philippa couldn't help but explode angrily as she started to explain what happened, but the more she recalled the conversation, the more pissed off she became.
