Chapter 16 - Faster Growth - Princess Treatment

Giving no time for the Undead to get back up, Caelus's tail swung around, crashing into the zombie-like creatures and mossy ones, which had no hands and burned, but it didn't feel painful for him, considering it was about equal to his body's temperature. The Skeletons were nowhere to be seen.

Tellus, on the other hand, began using Mana, making her slashes longer until they dissipate, cutting many of the enemies, clearing them extremely easily, while also making room for them to continue.

Caelus, noticing this, quickly moved his tail to grab Tellus, who held on as he began running at full speed. He wasn't good at ranged attacks or getting rid of a lot of enemies, but seeing that Tellus was able to, he'd let her do that while protecting her.

Finally stopping after a bit he let go of her, noticing they were only a few meters from it, in that instance, Caelus launched himself up, going towards it and grabbing it, only then did he notice a flying creature, almost close to a Wyvern but smaller and more decrepid flying down, yet right then it stopped, because Caelus's hand began touching it. For a moment, his hand burned, with him trying his hardest to hold back his pain.

"MMMMMFHH. Oh shit, that hurts, okay, okay, calm, don't drop this." Caelus thought, only for the pain to slowly stop as the glow flickered, turning to Tellus. He held it out, and she came over, both of them holding part of it. "...So you wanna crush it at the same time, or do you want all the benefits? I have no use for that."

"No. We shall share; you helped immensely in getting here." Tellus spoke.

"Well, I wouldn't say immensely. I just helped fly closer and slowed the enemies somewhat. It's not-" Caelus tried to reply

"No, you shall accept that you did immense help; to degrade that part of yourself is wrong. Even if I was flattering, you should not deny it." Tellus interrupted; she found it annoying that he was unwilling to accept a compliment. "I wonder what is going on inside his mind, though... I doubt I could understand such."

Tellus sheathed her blade, moving her hand and grabbing the ball, about half of it, as he held it the same. Both of them were crushing it at the same time and were thus teleported out, though they were not used to something like teleportation.

Hence, Caelus turned away as quickly as possible and spat out as much as he could, vomiting like crazy, as the ground where it hit began to dissolve and form a small ditch, with Tellus, on the other hand, being so stunned her body had literally forgotten to vomit.

"What the fuck!?" Tellus blurted out, but Caelus finally finished and stood up straight, looking at her. "...What? Did you not expect that-?"

[Cultivation has Risen!]

[Realm: Foundation Establishment VIII]

[Progress: 0%]

[Caelus has Unlocked Draconic Aura, automatically active]

[Draconic Aura - The Aura of a Dragon begins seeping out in it's early stages of life causing whatever is around it which is weaker to fall, those of a higher cultivation realm are unaffected or can feel it's presence, those nearby or close to the user will be unaffected, alongside this, Mates which are within the radius are unaffected and even enhanced by the aura, it cannot be deactivated or suppressed]

[Current Radius - 5 Meters]

"Cool- Anyways, I have to continue this conversation with Tellus." Caelus thought.

"Well... I won't question it now; we shall go now. I'd rather ask when it is a more appropriate time, and we aren't at risk of being attacked by the person who ambushed us."

Caelus nodded, listening to Tellus, "Should we continue exploring, or do you want to wait here and then go, since we just finished a fight after all?" Caelus asked, "Though if you want to go, then you by all means can, I will rest right now."

"Then I shall stay. I am almost at the next realm, so we could spar if you like once we get back, because then I shall possibly be at the Soul Formation Realm." Tellus spoke, her voice showing evident excitement.

"Maybe we should wait or hold off on that, it'd be better if you weren't with me when that were to happen. It would be better if you ask, say, Sol, or Arjuna, or even Minerva."

"Why so-?" Tellus asked... Only to realize. "Oh. I see, you're correct, doubting myself would be something I do not need during that... But even then, I still thank you. I would have been stuck insulting Wyverns for being related to Dragons." Tellus spoke.

Caelus only nodded, hiding his thoughts; he didn't want Aphro to know what he honestly thought. Though he was happy, he didn't show it; he felt that it was unnecessary to show too much emotion.

Caelus sat down, the ground beneath him shifting slightly, the dirt making a precise but minuscule indent due to his tail moving back and forth on the ground.

"Your clothing is to become dirty if you continue sitting there, you do know that, right?" Tellus asked.

Caelus listened... And shrugged, he found no reason why it was wrong to have his clothes get dirty; it was already going to happen anyway, sooner or later. "It will, but isn't it already dirty? There are small things on your body and clothing all the time, I call them germs."

Tellus listened, not believing him, something that small existing on them? Impossible. Then she took a second, why she felt itchy, why her hair felt itchy, she took baths, yes, but she rarely washed her hair with anything to clear it. "You're saying such to mess with me, right?"

"Why would I do that? I'm being serious, I mean, with Mana you could check, can't you, heat up your body to check." Caelus says

"...No, I will not, at least here I will not, maybe I shall check when I am home to take a bath," Tellus replies, still standing. Her hand was resting on the handle just in case someone did ambush them again.

"I didn't say here, but alright," Caelus replied, just staring out as he watched the clouds move. Feeling whatever was under him, insects or even dust moving around, His tail slowly stopped and curled up, in what looked like a resting position.

Twenty Minutes Later

"Alright, I feel this has been long enough, we shall get going," Tellus spoke. "Or do you want to stay here for longer?"

"No, I'll be going, but no need to rush me." Caelus stood up as his tail uncurled. His aura just barely reached Tellus as she went closer.

Both of them were running at their top speed, but for a moment, she felt a little protected, as if there was something that'd stop them from being ambushed.

"No, there would be no such way to stop it other than being stronger. Or being able to see through, such as invisibility."Tellus thought as she continued onwards, speeding up as soon as Caelus sped up. They could rush now, since there was no apparent danger, and the Golden Haired boy would need to catch up to actually attack or predict them.

Something that wouldn't be possible right now.

"I do wanna know, what is your teacher's name? I just want to know so I can actually get to know them if I do meet." Caelus asked, and Tellus looked at him, then ahead.

"She is known as Kiana, and is one of the strongest Royal Guards, so it would be wise not to provoke her, but I doubt meeting her would be possible since she is mostly busy with teaching people and protecting the Crown Princess, Lady Elysia."

Caelus listened to Tellus speak; from what he heard, Kiana seemed very much like a hard worker, but also somewhat like his own aunt, who was a workaholic. So he found it a bit amusing.

"I see, well, even if there is a low chance of meeting her, I still wish to know. Just because the chances of something happening are low does not mean it is zero."

While running, Tellus tripped, fell, and planted her face in the ground. Caelus came to a halt and went back. Looking at her. "You okay?"

"...Indeed, I am. I will need to wash my face as soon as I come back home."

"...Or just use Mana to clean your body?" Caelus spoke.

"Mana is not something you use for convenience, it is a fighting-" Tellus spoke while getting up and dusting herself off.

"Too bad." Caelus moved his hand, grabbing Tellus's shoulder and covering her body with Mana, and getting rid of all the dirt around her body or on her body. "There. Now use it for convenience. It's not some sacred energy if I can use it. After all, I am a Dragon." Caelus spoke. Moreso to tease her about their first interaction.

"Oh, come on. You do not need to bring this up, and you could have asked me first." Tellus was less than amused by the teasing, yet also embarrassed when reminded of it.

"We shall continue," Tellus spoke once more. And began running towards the empire as Caelus Followed. Soon enough, at the entrance, they slowed to a walk, closer. "I am back. Could you inform Madam Kiana that I have returned?"

Tellus told the guard, only then realizing... Caelus was going to meet her teacher, thinking it might be a little too early. But, seeing as Caelus was looking off into the distance, possibly bored, she hoped he wouldn't notice if she left.

Yet by the time she looked back, she noticed her teacher standing there calmly, holding the Princess, who was also holding a blade and whining. "Let me learn to fight!!!!" Her hand, which had a staff, swung up and down while the other one was being held.

Caelus, hearing the voice, which was somewhat childish and sounded way too young to be an adult, noticed it was the crown princess he had seen from earlier. "Oh, I didn't know you were friends with her... And I assume that's your teacher?"

Caelus spoke, looking at both of them with a blank expression as his tail swung back and forth again. "It's a pleasure to meet you... Though, was she trying to fight you or something?"

"She, as a princess, wishes to learn to fight and cultivate, but she is required to learn how to rule instead; cultivation would only distract her." The older lady spoke, holding the Princess's hand firmly, refusing to let her go.

"But, if you have a way to do both, then by all means tell." She continued. Her voice was calm but rough.

"You could teach her how to rule while also fighting, mostly as a way so she could do multiple things at once, while also teaching her how to cultivate and how to rule at the same time so she's more invested," Caelus replied.

"...That may be a good idea, but doing it right now would be far too early; she is just barely a teen. She has yet to grow old enough to even drink."

"Then just teach her to study, just keep what I said in mind if she still wants to cultivate... And wouldn't letting her do something she clearly likes be better? Is she putting all her time into studying politics? Surely not right?" Caelus asked, confused.

"No, that would be cruel to do so. Elysia usually eats and stays in her room most of the time."

Tellus grew impatient as her teacher conversed with Caelus. Only to see how she wasn't really caring about what Caelus even was, despite the fact...

"Though, you must be a Wyvern, right? Why do you not feel shame for being related to those creatures that hoard resources that lead to people starving?"

Caelus listened... He took a second before forming his response.
