Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 Arrival

The night came without a sound as Ren woke up from his stupor. He massaged his temples and then watched outside the windowpane. The guild HQ was just outside. The travel was tiring and boorish, that it made him sleep without any efforts to do so.

Their HQ was cut above the norm. It was castle like and had brick walls. Fitting for their guild name and its renown.

Ren walked outside then looked at the majestic look. It was like a lord was the owner and the place was maintained well. With torches outside beside the walkway and some have lamps hanged on the walls. The door was open, and the members walked outside to meet them.

They arrived at the guild headquarter and sir Klien escorted them. "Welcome to the Crimson guild. I will escort you to the place."

They went to the Guild Halls and they were greeted by new faces. They were greeted with a feast with lots of food. Making a merry mood at the moment.

Ren grabbed a plate to eat and he ate merrily. The food tasted good in his own, but he wondered why have a feast. Maybe the guild had extra budget to have something like this. He ate then stopped when he was full.

Sir Klein then showed him to his quarters and then he went to see his room inside. It was a nice solo room for him with a bed and a dress drawer. He also has his uniform in the drawers and training sweatshirts ready.

"Feel free to call me if you want something, okay?" Klien said then left.

"Yes master!" he said then bowed slightly.

He put his bag on the bed then washed himself. Wearing his training uniform for the night.

Klien left and then he saw a kid his age. "Hey newcomer. What is your name? I am Jay!"

"I am Ren." he mused.

"Ren. Good, let's go to the Training Ground. Everyone is waiting." he said.

"I see. Okay." Ren replied then followed him.

They exited the Halls and went to the Training grounds, from where they practiced mock battles. Ren was also curious to what his guild mates were about. excitement was getting ahead of him.

They arrived at the Training Grounds and then saw their guild mates training themselves. The place was full of weapons, and it has open space enough to have a small fight. There was a stone tile at the center, and a small lesser barrier can be put up.

They were observing each other every night when they have free time. And it was a norm or tradition here to train every night. They were huddling at first on the bon fire and they all looked at his direction.

Ren arrived and saw them watching him. "The newcomer must introduce himself. Name and Class, that's all." said sir Klien.

Ren then stepped up and then introduced himself. "I am Ren. Classless."

"Pfft! What? Classless? We are in decline yet there's worst?" said Arthas.

Sir Klein was silent then spoke, "You will see soon enough why I choose him."

"Okay." Arthas then went silent.

He sat on the side and observed at first and he saw that these persons here were all job classed fighters. He must be an odd one out and different from the rest. The thing was, he was in here even knowing as classless one. Making him to be thankful for sir Klein's generosity.

He immediately watched them and found out that they were all strong. Not Slacking for a bit. And so, he found them in a new limelight and with respect. He did not want to lose to them too. Making him to plan to train harder than all of them combined.

And so, he planned to train harder. With him thinking what his routine workout was and what was its schedule.

With that, Sir Klien was excited to their trainings. He wanted to show his cream of the crop to the newcomers. And so, with that, he introduced them all to him.

They all bowed slightly when they were called. Arthas, Snap, Splinter, Maldor, Frel, Sieg, Branmoor, Saber, Baggus, Deathbane. All of you, welcome Ren.

"Nice to meet you! Let's all work harder!" Ren said to them.

"Good! Let us work together and for our Guild!" He said to them. "And work for our debt!"

"For our debt!" They all yelled.

"Debt!?" Ren almost yelped. He did not know that this guild has a debt. Or else he choose to have other guild. But what he was in was the one who gave him a home and was not evicted. Thanks to sir Klien's generosity. He was giving him a chance but with a return. To pay off this debt was one.

And so, Ren was knowing bit by bit of what this guild was in shambles.

"How much is the debt by the way?" He asked.

"1 million gold coins." Sir Klien said.

"1 million!?" Ren yelled. "And gold coins at that." He muttered.

He did not expect it to be that much. And so, he planned things out.

"That is why we are preparing for the tournament. We must win Gold so that we could chip off the one million a bit. Just a bit. We still have 900 thousand left!" He explained.

"Damn, what guild did I landed to." He asked himself. It was a bit too much of a joke to begin with. He will have to make some things to surefire this problem. And so he was already in plans to have a business for the revival of their impoverished guild.

"That food tonight was our last. We will have to make do tomorrow." Klien added.

"What!? We will not have food tomorrow. Man, we are so dead." Ren nearly collapsed but he still hasn't lost hope. "There's always a way!" He yelled.

"Don't worry kid! But before that, Let's proceed to the first duel of the night. We must not slack and every night, we must train ourselves." Sir Klein then announced.
