"I truly dislike coming to hospitals." Glen stood on the sidewalk, looking up at the gray-white structure before him. He instinctively furrowed his brows, his expression showing a hint of distaste.
"Why?" Alex stepped down from the carriage step, adjusted his shirt, and looked at Glen with confusion.
The tall, thin man tilted his chin, signaling Alex to look toward the main building of the hospital.
The young man narrowed his eyes and followed the direction Glen pointed.
The brilliant afternoon sunlight happened to strike the glass windows of the hospital, reflecting a shimmering light and creating an atmosphere of warmth and tranquility. In the courtyard, family members visiting patients slowed their pace, and a few patients in blue-and-white striped gowns were strolling under the shade of the trees, as if they too were enjoying this pleasant scenery.
But that was merely a glamorous facade in the eyes of ordinary people.
