Blaine only saw one other person in the room. Karlen seemed to return later each day.
"Chekof, I was wondering if I could get a favor from you?" Blaine asked as he began wrapping the box in his hands, "your taking Beast Weapons, right?
Chekof nodded.
"Tomorrow is Lana's birthday. I bought her this gift but I need it delivered to her room. Since I eat with her each evening and won't have time to come up here and get it. Can you bring it down? Her roommate is in your class so she should be there."
Chekof nodded, "seems easy enough. Which room?"
"2120," Blaine said, "and thank you for this.
"What did you get her, out of curiosity?"
"A dress. Something that won't be embarrassing to wear."
"Embarrassing to wear? What are you talking about?"
Blaine sighed, "her wardrobe from the orphanage. She said it was embarrassing. It's why she dyed her hair that way."
"Really?"
Blaine nodded, putting the finishing touches on his present.
"Don't worry, I got your back. She'll have her present. Is there anything else she'd like?"
"Bedding. She wants to get a bedding set for herself and her twin brother but doesn't have the money yet."
Chekof nodded, "going to do some studying now." He put headphones on and started jamming while staring at his tablet. Blaine wasn't fooled, though. The volume was so high, he could hear Mozart.

In her room, Lana wrapped the ribbon around the box and tried to make a nice, pretty bow. She failed. Miserably. She deserved an A for effort, though.
She put the package in the middle of the kitchen table then took all the food out of her bag. She grounded down the wheat and grains and made a short cake with the flour. The veggies, she put in the fridge for tomorrow's dinner.
Tomorrow at lunch, she planned to fill her bag with strawberries. Tonight, however, she hummed while she worked in the kitchen. She was enjoying being able to prep this part in advance. She was actually able to make a lot of flour between the past few days and she was building up a small storage of what hadn't been used. Still, it would take a lot to build up enough to not grow it every day.
Their room once again smelled really good. Kattie came in to investigate the amazing aroma and noticed the package on the table.
"You're in a good mood! Did Blaine kiss you?"
"What?! No!" her face turned beat red. "I'm making shortbread for Dobin's birthday tomorrow. I make it for him every year. Well, strawberry shortcake that is."
"And the present?"
"It's the first time I've even been able to get him something… It's just clothes."
Lana hit herself in the forehead, "I forgot to get him some decent shoes! Can we go to the library really quick at lunch tomorrow? It won't take me long."
Kattie nodded. "Are you going to give him money to buy you something?"
"He hasn't said he wanted to. He can have some if he wants it."
Kattie nodded and left the kitchen. She started messaging Dobin and Almin about the plans for tomorrow. Dobin said he'd like about 20 credits turned over and Almin agreed to take her shopping after Beast Weapon Class. With plans settled, they studied a bit more for the night then went to bed. Lana and Kattie did their meditation first.
Sven woke the girls up at 4:45. He was hungry so Kattie fed him. They decided to go get Dobin some new shoes then take Sven to the park. Kattie took the time to buy Lana a new outfit as a gift from her as well as some bedding as a gift from the boys while she was there. They brought their packages back and Lana put another poorly executed bow on her package and added it to the table. When Lana got in the shower, Kattie wrapped up her presents.
Kattie would buy for Dobin after school with the insight of their friends. Dobin knocked on the door just as Lana was coming out of the shower once again.
"Hey, sis! Could I get about 20 credits of my money?"
She nodded and put her watch up to Dobin's and transferred his money over. At lunch, he and Alto went to the library and bought her a workout outfit and a blanket. Since Kattie and Lana spent the time in the park, Almin ate lunch with Blaine. Chekof and Karlen were off doing their own thing. Specifically, they were in the library buying Dobin and Lana some new bedding then wrapping it in their room. They marched to the classroom by themselves to beat everyone. Chekof needed to see if he could get Kattie by herself to see when he could drop presents off.
Chekof waited outside the classroom while Karlen went inside having done his duty with taking him to the library.
When he saw Lana and Kattie approach ahead of their classes, Chekof was grateful this portion of the plan worked out. Now for the next part…
Chekof smiled his best winning smile, "Kattie my dear, I was wondering if I could have the honor of speaking to you in private?"
She nodded and Lana chuckled as she went into the classroom and took out her tablet.
Curious, "Chekof, what is this about?"
"There are three birthday presents in my room I need to get to your room before Lana returns from her final class. When can I bring them down?"
Kattie blinked, "three presents?"
Chekof nodded.
"Almin is taking me shopping once we get out of class. How about we meet you at your room, bring the presents down then we'll go shopping?"
Chekof nodded, "makes sense. We'll all get back at the same time. Thank you!"
Kattie smiled, "thank you. It's nice people want to buy for them." She turned and entered her room seeing the class was approaching from lunch.
At her desk. Kattie sent a message to Almin letting him know they needed to go to Chekof's room after class and that she got their gift for Lana already. They just needed to buy for Dobin now.
Classes were pretty uneventful with the exception of one boy in beast weapons class that had a problem respecting his weapon. Lana was sure he'd kill someone.
When they marched back, Lana wanted to stay outside just a bit longer. She decided she wanted to make eggplant Parmesan and needed to grow some eggplants. Blaine smiled every time he watched her grow food. He thought her ability was very interesting.
