Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Gremory’s Invitation, the Saintess’s Home

Inside the Clubroom of the Occult Research Club, as the special medicine urgently delivered by the Gremory Family arrived, the tense atmosphere finally saw a glimmer of hope.

Rias didn't hesitate, personally opening the metal box engraved with the Family crest. Inside the box, several crystal vials were neatly arranged, filled with liquids of different colors, emitting powerful and pure energy fluctuations.

She quickly took out a vial that glowed with a soft, milky white light, as if stardust swirled within it—the "Stellar Essence Extract." This was a top-tier magic potion treasured by the Gremory Family, used to repair severe Origin damage.

"Akeno, help me support him." Rias's voice was urgent and focused.

Akeno immediately stepped forward, carefully helping the unconscious Shin sit up, his head slightly tilted back.

Rias uncorked the crystal vial, and a refreshing fragrance, as if containing endless vitality, instantly filled the air. She very carefully brought the mouth of the vial close to Shin's pale lips, slowly feeding the liquid, which resembled liquid starlight, into his mouth, not a single drop remaining.

The liquid melted upon entering his mouth, instantly transforming into a gentle yet vast torrent of life, surging into Shin's parched meridians and depleted dantian. On his paper-white face, a faint trace of color appeared at a speed almost visible to the naked eye. His previously faint, almost nonexistent breathing also became slightly stronger. The green light emanating from the "Tear of the Goddess of Life" seemed to brighten slightly with the addition of this external vitality.

"It's working!" Kiba Yuuto's clenched fist relaxed slightly, a flicker of joy in his eyes.

Rias carefully sensed Shin's condition, her taut expression easing slightly but remaining solemn. "The medicine is taking effect, repairing his Life Origin, but the process will be very slow, and… He overexerted himself too much. Whether he can fully recover depends on his own will and fortune."

She placed the empty vial back into the box and took out another pale blue potion, used to stabilize the mind and soul, and likewise fed it to Shin. Only after completing all of this did she finally let out a slight sigh of relief, but her gaze remained fixed on Shin, closely monitoring any subtle changes.

Throughout the entire process, Asia Argento watched nervously, her hands tightly clasped in front of her chest, her azure eyes filled with worry and prayer. It wasn't until she saw Shin's breathing stabilize somewhat that her tightly strung heart relaxed slightly, but the guilt and concern in her eyes remained undiminished.

With the most critical situation temporarily stabilized, the suffocating atmosphere in the Clubroom finally dissipated. Everyone was able to catch their breath and tend to their own injuries and restore their magic power.

Rias took a potion specifically for dispelling high-level dark corrosion, and the purplish-black wound on her shoulder began to fade at a slow but steady pace. Kiba, Akeno, and Koneko also used potions and dressings to treat their internal and external injuries.

Time slowly passed in quiet recovery. The sky outside the window grew brighter and brighter, and the dawn completely dispelled the darkness. Under Akeno's care, Asia drank some warm water and ate some easily digestible food, her pale complexion improving further. The ligature marks on her body also gradually faded under the sustained effect of the Rejuvenation Talisman and the slow self-healing potential of her Divine Artifact.

However, most of her attention remained on Shin, silent and focused.

When the first true ray of morning light passed through the stained-glass window, bringing a warm glow to the Clubroom, Rias felt it was time. She took a deep breath, walked to the sofa where Asia was sitting, pulled up a chair, and sat down opposite her.

Akeno, Kiba, and Koneko also tacitly gathered around, their expressions gentle and serious.

Asia seemed to sense something, sitting up a little nervously, her hands anxiously twisting the hem of her clothes, her azure eyes timidly looking at Rias, wondering what this powerful and beautiful senior was going to say to her.

"Classmate Asia Argento." Rias began, her voice regaining its usual calmness and authority, but she deliberately slowed her pace, with a hint of reassurance. "First, on behalf of the Occult Research Club, I welcome your recovery from danger and restoration to health."

"Th-thank you very much, Senior Gremory… and everyone…" Asia quickly lowered her head, responding in a faint voice.

"You're welcome." Rias shook her head slightly, her gaze deepening. "Now, there are some questions about your future path that we need to discuss seriously."

Asia's body trembled slightly, a flicker of panic and confusion in her eyes. Future? Does she still have a future? Ever since being expelled by the Church, wandering here like a stray dog, and then being targeted, imprisoned, and tortured by Fallen Angels… she no longer dared to imagine the future.

Rias observed her reaction and continued calmly, "According to what we understand, you were deemed a heretic by your original Church and expelled because you possess the Divine Artifact, Twilight Healing, which can heal all living beings, including devils and monsters, correct?"

Asia's face instantly turned even paler, her eyes welling up with immense sadness and helplessness. She nodded forcefully, tears once again welling in her eyes. "Y-yes… I… I just wanted to help those suffering lives… no matter what they were… But… but…" She choked, unable to continue. The pain of being abandoned by her faith was the deepest wound in her heart.

"I understand." Rias's voice carried a reassuring strength. "In the eyes of many old-fashioned forces, this 'indiscriminate' compassion is unacceptable. But please understand, not all supernatural beings hold such narrow views."

She paused, her emerald eyes looking directly at Asia, her tone becoming incredibly solemn. "Classmate Asia, your power is by no means a curse, but an incredibly precious gift. This pure healing power, originating from within, has irreplaceable value everywhere."

Asia listened in a daze; these words were completely different from the accusations and rejections she had previously suffered, bringing a hint of warmth to her frozen heart.

"Your current situation is still dangerous." Rias's tone shifted, becoming serious. "Members of the Fallen Angel organization have targeted your Divine Artifact. Although we repelled Raynare this time, the forces behind her will not give up easily. You alone cannot cope with the upcoming threats. The Church can no longer provide you with shelter either."

Asia's body trembled slightly with fear; she knew that what Rias said was true. Loneliness and danger were still shadows she couldn't shake off.

Just then, Rias extended her hand to her, palm upwards, a gesture of invitation. A sincere and firm smile appeared on her face.

"Therefore, Asia Argento, I, Rias Gremory, in my capacity as the next head of the Gremory Family and President of the Occult Research Club, formally invite you—I invite you to join my Peerage, to become a member of the Occult Research Club, to become our Family."

Asia suddenly looked up, her azure eyes wide with extreme shock, as if she couldn't believe what she had heard.

Rias's voice was clear and powerful. "Here, your healing power will not be regarded as heresy, but will be cherished and needed. The purpose of the Occult Research Club is to explore mysteries, resolve incidents, and maintain order. Your power will become an important force for us to help others and protect peace. At the same time, the name and power of the Gremory Family will become your strongest backing, protecting you from Fallen Angels or other evil forces."

She glanced at the still unconscious Advisor Shin, her tone becoming even softer. "Moreover, there are people here who need your help and protection, aren't there? Advisor Shin paid a huge price to save you, and his recovery may also require your unique power."

Akeno also smiled and spoke, her voice as gentle as water. "Oh my, Classmate Asia, no one here will reject you, you know? Everyone will welcome you~"

Kiba Yuuto nodded gently. "Your kindness and power should be used in the right place, to help those who truly need help."

Even the silent Koneko nodded slightly at Asia, indicating her approval.

The warmth of Family, the recognition of her power, the assurance of safety, and… the opportunity for gratitude… these words were like warm sunlight, slowly dispelling the cold and fog in Asia's heart.

She looked at Rias's sincere eyes, at the friendly gazes of the people around her, and especially thought of the young man who had stood up for her and was still unconscious… The long-standing loneliness, fear, and grievances seemed to find an outlet at this moment.

Large tears, like broken pearls, silently streamed down her cheeks. But this time, they were no longer tears of despair, but tears full of hope and emotion.

She barely hesitated, trembling as she extended her hand, carefully yet firmly placing it on Rias's palm.

"I… I will!" Her voice was choked with tears, yet incredibly clear and firm. "Thank you very much… Senior Gremory… no, President! I want to join! I want to use my power… to help everyone… to repay everyone's kindness… I… I want to stay here!"

Her words were a bit disjointed, but filled with genuine emotion.

Rias clasped her cold yet slightly trembling hand, a brilliant and relieved smile blooming on her face. "Welcome, Asia Argento. From today onwards, you are an indispensable member of the Gremory Family and the Occult Research Club."

Inside the Clubroom, the tense atmosphere was finally replaced by warmth and joy. Akeno gently hugged the tearfully joyful Asia, Kiba Yuuto showed a warm smile, and even Koneko's lips seemed to curl up slightly.

Rias watched this scene, a satisfied glint flashing in her emerald eyes. Recruiting Asia, who possesses Twilight Healing, was undoubtedly a huge boost to the strength of the Occult Research Club. More importantly, she had saved a kind and helpless soul, providing her with a true home.

The holy maiden, after wandering in darkness, finally found her place. And the Occult Research Club also welcomed a new member with the purest healing power. The path ahead seemed to become brighter because of this.

Rias's gaze once again fell upon the unconscious Shin, thinking to herself: "Advisor Shin, I have received this 'gift' you brought us. Next, it's our turn… to repay you."
