Chapter 3 - Chapter 03

Eric's room had remained… honest ever since he'd moved in three years ago.

A single bed with a comforter that had seen better days.

A small desk wedged beside the window, a chair that creaked the moment you sat down, and old posters taped up with clear tape that was starting to give up on life.

And on the dusty desk, he set down his faithful companion, pulling it from his backpack.

This laptop was the very definition of a legend.

Old.

Gray plastic.

A loud fan.

A half-peeling "Intel Inside" sticker, like a nostalgic badge from a different era.

"Come on… don't fail me now," Eric muttered as he opened it.

The boot-up was slow.

Painfully slow.

The kind of slow that makes you question your life choices while a loading bar crawls forward out of pure spite.

Eric had no idea how the system had managed to configure a brand-new channel on this fossil.

Finally, the desktop appeared.

He couldn't help remembering Windows 11 from his trip through that alternate Earth.

He grimaced.

"God… this is retro."

He opened YouTube.

The site was simpler, clunkier, with that vibe of it has no idea it's about to conquer the world.

No professional creators. No explosive intros.

Just people recording themselves on webcams, low-quality clips, music uploaded without permission, and titles written in ALL CAPS with spelling mistakes.

"Nobody's scared yet," he whispered.

The system activated in the background, silent as a ghost admin.

> [Channel editing initiated.]<

Eric rested his fingers on the keyboard.

Channel name.

He typed slowly.

Marvel Studios

He paused.

"This… shouldn't exist, right?" he murmured.

But here, Marvel didn't exist. There were no movies. No studios. No trademark to defend.

The system found no conflict.

> [Channel created and successfully linked.]<

Eric blinked.

"That was… way too easy."

Second channel.

Marvel Clips

"Just in case," he muttered. "Early diversification."

The system replicated the process.

> [Channel created and successfully linked.]<

Eric leaned back in the chair, which protested with an ominous squeak.

Two channels.

Zero strikes.

Zero warnings.

Zero suspicion.

He checked the options.

Monetization was still primitive. No sophisticated Content ID. Policies that were clear but naive.

YouTube still trusted people to be reasonable.

"Poor idiots."

He read the rules carefully. No extreme explicit violence. No nudity. No direct incitement to hate.

Eric smiled.

"Perfect. My spoilers are emotionally devastating, and I don't have to worry about any of that."

He opened the upload section.

The screen asked for a file.

He stared at the blinking cursor.

This was it.

Tony Stark hadn't even boarded a plane to Afghanistan yet.

The world had no idea it was about to change without ever realizing why.

The system projected a hologram with a detailed list only Eric could see.

He reviewed it carefully.

> [Content Store]<

> [A virtual space managed by the system where you may spend Shock Points (SP) to acquire material originating from the "world you lived" during the MCU vision. YouTube. Instagram. Facebook, etc.]<

> [It does not create new content. It downloads, adapts, and replicates existing content from that other world.]<

"Perfect. Saves me time. I just need to edit and strip out promos, site names, and other annoying stuff."

Thinking about that, Eric asked a genuinely interesting question.

"Can I make an account over there and upload content to that world too… just for fun?"

The system took a few seconds to answer.

> [You may.]<

"Even livestream?"

> [Yes.]<

Eric's smile turned sharp.

If he was going to make people in his universe question reality… why not also mess with the alternate Earth he'd visited?

> [Currency: Shock Points (SP)]<

Eric stared at all of it, speechless.

He opened the Store.

Read.

Blink.

Read again.

Closed the store.

Opened it again, because maybe the system was joking.

It wasn't.

"…."

He leaned back in the chair, crossed his arms, and looked up at the ceiling like it might offer a moral explanation.

"Okay," he said at last. "Quick recap."

He raised one finger.

"I can buy chakra and learn how to run up walls."

Another finger.

"I can buy haki and sense hostility before it even exists."

Another.

"I can hand out Devil Fruits like Christmas gifts as long as I've got enough SP."

Another.

"I can buy legendary weapons that probably have more personality than I do."

He stared at his open hand.

"And I can basically get access to any power from any world… just by paying the right amount of SP."

The system didn't reply, silently confirming he had the gist.

Eric dragged both hands down his face.

"This is…" he searched for the word, "…irresponsibly tempting."

He stood and started pacing.

"So you're telling me I could walk into a SHIELD meeting as a literal lightbulb, using chakra, with haki turned on, carrying a mythic weapon.…?"

He stopped dead.

"No. No. That would be…" he shook his head, "…too much."

He sat back down.

"Too much fun."

Silence.

"And expensive," he added. "Very expensive."

He looked at the prices again.

"Twenty thousand SP for haki?" he scoffed. "Do you know how many existential debates I have to trigger for that?"

He pictured himself explaining it.

"Hi, Fury. Yeah, I have chakra now.

No, I didn't learn it here.

Yes, it's from another world."

Eric laughed to himself.

"Nick Fury is going to age ten years because of me."

He closed the store slowly, like someone putting something dangerous into a drawer.

He exhaled.
