"Pffft." Marcus jumped immediately, running toward the restroom.
I sucked in a large breath, holding my stomach as I wrestled with the bubbling laughter.
"I know, I know," Jerry spoke lazily, relaxing his legs on the couch. "Ha ha ha. So funny."
I finally quelled the rising laughter and managed to ask. "But why toilet cleaner?"
Jerry sighed. "According to the Sector A manager, it was the only job slot available this week. And the person I worked for urgently needed a toilet cleaner."
"Hmm," I held my chin. "But how did you convince that old man Park to get you a job?"
Jerry flashed a sinister smirk. "I discovered the man was a bit similar to me. He was opportunistic. I just made use of his opportunistic mindset, and I exploited it to get what I wanted."
Marcus came back from the restroom, clearing his throat.
"And what did you offer him in return for the job?"
"Well," Jerry shrugged. "Information. And also help. I'll do one favor for him in the future."
