The office was enormous. A massive desk of what I assumed was the Italian marble Felix had mentioned dominated one end of the room. Behind it, windows offered a panoramic view of the city, Manhattan spread out like a kingdom waiting to be conquered. Leather chairs arranged in front of the desk. A sitting area with couches that probably cost more than my car. Art on the walls that I didn't recognize but assumed was worth millions.
Camille crossed to her desk and sat, settling into the chair like a queen taking her throne. The rest of us arranged ourselves in front of her. Me in the center chair because apparently that was the plan. The four sisters flanking me, two on each side. The lawyers standing behind us like an army at our backs.
For a long moment, nobody spoke.
