Chapter 97 - Chapter 97: Heading to the Island Nation, Hot Fox Jiang

After Mu Nianbing dealt with the Scarlet Rift Demon, everyone helped clean up the remaining Crimson Raptor Demons near the island.

Since they had already taken action, they decided to eliminate the threat completely—root and all.

Once the group of sea demons was completely wiped out, they returned to Feiniao City by ship.

The battle had left a deep impression on everyone.

Freezing an entire island and killing a Commander-level sea demon almost instantly—Mu Nianbing's strength was clearly on another level.

Before this, some of them—like Zu Jiming and Guan Yu—had doubted whether Mu Nianbing was truly as powerful as rumored.

But now, after witnessing it firsthand, all doubts vanished.

When they returned to Feiniao City, they reported the results to Lin Junxian.

After hearing their account, Lin Junxian's face was full of astonishment.

The sea demon problem that had troubled him for months was solved in a single day.

And not only that—they had even slain a Commander-level Scarlet Rift Demon, something that normally required the combined effort of several Advanced Mages.

Now, it had been handled effortlessly by this group of young people.

Soon, Lin Junxian's expression shifted to one of realization.

Judging by their strength, age, and timing, it became obvious—these were members of China's National Team on an overseas training mission.

If that was the case, then everything made sense.

"President Lin," Mu Nianbing said calmly, "since we've solved the problem for you, it's time to fulfill your promise."

"Of course," Lin Junxian replied quickly. "I'll personally arrange a ship for you to Japan tomorrow morning."

He didn't mention their identities aloud, understanding that National Team operations required confidentiality.

Still, he made a mental note—these were the rising stars of China's future. It wouldn't hurt to maintain a good relationship.

That evening, Lin Junxian hosted a grand banquet in their honor, serving lavish dishes and even offering valuable cultivation resources.

But Mu Nianbing declined.

He didn't like owing anyone favors. Their agreement was fulfilled—there was no need for gifts.

Early the next morning, everyone boarded the ship arranged by Lin Junxian and set sail for the Island Nation (Japan).

As soon as they left the safe sea zone, Jiang Shaoxu changed into the bikini she had clearly been waiting for an excuse to wear.

Her long, shapely legs, slim waist, and pale, radiant skin drew more than a few glances from the others.

Holding a glass of red wine, Jiang Shaoxu sauntered toward Mu Nianbing, who was leaning casually against the railing, enjoying the sea breeze.

It was Mu Nianbing's first time traveling by sea, and he found it strangely refreshing.

Looking outward, there was only an endless horizon. Looking down, it felt as though the ocean stretched into an abyss.

Compared to the land, the sea was a far more dangerous world—but the ship's route was safe, carefully avoiding sea demon territories.

Unless they ran into a Commander-level sea monster, attacks were rare.

"Captain, why are you here all alone?"

Jiang Shaoxu's sultry voice broke his thoughts. She leaned closer, the scent of perfume and sea air mingling together.

Mu Nianbing glanced at her. Her fair skin gleamed in the sun, and though she wasn't overly voluptuous, her curves were well-proportioned.

"The wind and sun are strong out here. Aren't you worried about damaging your skin dressed like that?" he said evenly, turning his gaze back to the waves.

"Captain, are you that concerned about me? Aren't you afraid Mu Ningxue will get jealous?" Jiang Shaoxu teased, eyes glinting mischievously.

After witnessing Mu Nianbing's power, she had secretly made up her mind—she wanted to get closer to him.

As for whether he had a girlfriend… well, that was just another challenge.

Mu Nianbing could sense the playfulness and provocation behind her tone.

This vixen was clearly testing him—and he had to resist the urge to "discipline" her a little.

Seeing him remain unbothered only made Jiang Shaoxu push further.

She brushed her smooth arm against his, feigning innocence. "The sun really is strong, Captain. Why don't you help me apply some sunscreen?"

"No time," Mu Nianbing replied bluntly, not even glancing at her.

He knew her type well. The more you entertained her games, the more daring she became.

As Mu Nianbing walked away, Jiang Shaoxu stomped her foot in frustration, her cheeks puffed with annoyance.

She threw her half-empty wine glass into the sea with a sharp clink.

Mu Nianbing was on his way back to his cabin—planning to rest with Mu Ningxue—when a faint thud echoed from the ship's hull.

It wasn't loud, but it was distinct—something had hit the vessel.

Suppressing a sigh, Mu Nianbing turned back toward the deck.

"Captain!" Ai Jiangtu called, rushing over. "A Rhinoceros Horn Walrus is ramming the hull!"

"Rhinoceros Horn Walrus?" Mu Nianbing frowned.

These creatures were usually docile and rarely attacked ships without provocation.

Still, he couldn't take chances.

He immediately teleported to the ship's side, where Mo Fan, Zhao Manyan, and several others were already gathered.

Peering down, Mu Nianbing spotted the massive sea creature—over ten meters long—repeatedly crashing into the underside of the ship.

The vessel's hull was reinforced with special alloys, but even so, the impact was leaving visible dents, making the entire ship tremble.

"Bing-ge, this sea demon—" Zhao Manyan began, but before he could finish, Mu Nianbing leapt from the deck.

Just before hitting the water, a powerful chill erupted beneath him, freezing the waves into solid ice.

He landed calmly atop the newly-formed ice sheet, standing face-to-face with the Rhinoceros Horn Walrus.

The creature sensed danger and turned its massive body, charging straight at him.

"Millennium Ice Prison!"

Mu Nianbing raised his hand and pressed down.

An enormous cage of ice descended from above, perfectly sealing the Rhinoceros Horn Walrus in place.

Now that he was closer, Mu Nianbing noticed its swollen abdomen—it was a pregnant female.

It must have mistaken the ship for a threat and attacked to defend its unborn calf.

Unfortunately, with his Profound Ice Cold Qi filling the area, the infant wouldn't survive long.

Mu Nianbing's expression remained calm. Once hostility appeared, there was no need to hesitate.

He raised his hand again—and the ice prison crushed inward, ending the creature's struggle.

After ensuring there were no more threats nearby, Mu Nianbing stepped back aboard.

The ship resumed its original route, continuing steadily toward the Island Nation.
