Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: The Battle Ends

"Vegeta, you should leave." Goku's voice was calm but firm.

"In your current state, there's no way you can win against me."

Vegeta clenched his teeth, his pride burning.

"Kakarot… I lost this time. But the next time we meet, I will never lose again!"

"Alright." Goku nodded without hesitation.

Vegeta snorted, turned around, and shot toward his spaceship.

Moments later, the engines ignited, and the Saiyan prince left Earth, disappearing into the vastness of space.

"He… he actually left!"

Krillin finally let out the breath he'd been holding.

"Yeah," Yamcha said, still shaken. "With Gohan around, there was no way he could win."

"That's true."

Just then, Goku and Gohan flew over from the battlefield.

"Goku! Gohan!"

Krillin waved enthusiastically.

The two nodded as they landed.

"Goku," Krillin asked, frowning slightly, "why did you let Vegeta go? If he gets stronger, he might come back to Earth."

Goku scratched his head.

"King Kai told me there aren't many Saiyans left. I just thought… maybe I should let him live."

"I see…"

"Hmph."

Piccolo snorted coldly.

"Goku, you're always too soft-hearted. One day, that will be your downfall."

Goku chuckled.

"Since when did you start worrying about me, Piccolo?"

"I'm not worried about you," Piccolo replied flatly. "I'm reminding you—for Gohan's sake."

Goku looked at Gohan and smiled.

"Piccolo, thanks for everything this past year. Without you, Gohan wouldn't be this strong."

Piccolo turned away.

"Don't misunderstand. I trained him so he could fight the Saiyans."

Goku nodded, unfazed.

"Well, the battle's over. Let's all go home."

"Yeah!"

Mount Paozu — Goku's House

Goku and Gohan landed at the entrance.

Knock, knock.

The door opened, and Chi-Chi froze for a moment—then rushed forward.

"Gohan!"

She hugged him tightly, her voice trembling.

Gohan stiffened slightly, overwhelmed by her strength.

The Ox-King hurried out as well and scooped Gohan up.

Gohan sighed inwardly.

I'm really five years old now…

"So, Gohan," the Ox-King asked cheerfully, "did you defeat the Saiyan, or did Goku?"

"Dad did," Gohan replied calmly.

"Oh? Then he must not have been very strong!"

Gohan smiled but said nothing.

"Well then," Chi-Chi said firmly, crossing her arms, "now that the battle is over, it's time for you to go back to studying!"

"Grandpa!"

Gohan looked helplessly at the Ox-King.

"Uh…"

The Ox-King hesitated.

"Chi-Chi… how about letting him eat lunch first?"

"Dad!"

Chi-Chi shot him a glare.

"We agreed yesterday. No delays."

"…Alright."

The Ox-King surrendered immediately.

Gohan glanced at Goku.

Goku looked away.

Traitor.

With no other choice, Gohan obediently returned to his room.

Gohan's Room

Once inside, Gohan took out the laptop Bulma had lent him from his system inventory.

"There's no internet here…"

"System," Gohan said, "activate Wi-Fi."

The screen lit up instantly.

Gohan then took out the miniature robot he had captured earlier and scanned it.

He quickly located its data port and connected it to the computer.

Within seconds, he accessed the combat data it had collected—only records of today's battle between Goku and Vegeta.

Gohan deleted everything.

Then, using the robot as a relay, he traced the signal back to its controller.

"Found you."

However, when he tried to breach the main system, he stopped.

"…This firewall is insane."

"System," Gohan said, "Dr. Gero's supercomputer is too advanced. Can you help?"

The System cleared its throat.

"Master, I am a cultivation system—not an omnipotent one."

Gohan smirked.

"So there are things you can't do."

"…That's not the point."

"Hacking isn't something a righteous system should do, right?"

"Exactly."

"Fine," Gohan said calmly. "Then I'll do it myself. One day, two days, a month, a year—eventually I'll crack it."

"..."

The System went silent.

"…Master, after careful consideration, Dr. Gero is a villain."

"And?"

"Helping you stop him is justice."

"That's what I thought."

"Stand back."

In the next instant, the firewall collapsed.

"Done."

Gohan's eyes lit up.

He quickly browsed through the files.

Android 16 — Completed

Android 17 — In development

Android 18 — In development

Android 19 & 20 — Blueprints only

"So Android 16 already exists…"

Gohan narrowed his eyes.

Androids 17 and 18 were modified humans—unstable and difficult to control.

Even rewriting their code wouldn't guarantee safety.

As for Androids 19 and 20…

"…I don't even know if Gero will turn himself into Android 20 this time."

Gohan leaned back in his chair, deep in thought.

Looks like the real battle… hasn't even started yet.
