Lin Feng lay on his bed, scrolling through his phone.
He had just returned after Su Yue's stream was over.
At that moment, a notification appeared - both on his phone and from the system.
[Personal account has been credited with ¥2500.00 from account ending in...]
He summoned the full system screen.
[Infinite Money System]
[Total System Balance: ¥18,462.00]
[Available System Balance: ¥18,462.00]
[Personal Balance: ¥15,890.00]
He looked at the balance and exhaled in relief.
Things were coming along nicely. He had been worried that withdrawing ten thousand a day was leaving him almost completely broke, but now he finally had some wiggle room.
He sighed.
Today's income from Su Yue was as good as always. She really was growing.
But Tianji had let him down - he had only earned ¥12.
It was almost a 90% fall from the day before.
Well, he could only accept it. This thing wasn't always reliable.
There was no need to worry about it too much though. As long as he kept increasing his balance, when a good day hit, it would hit with full force.
He withdrew the available balance into his personal account and exhaled.
He was getting really busy these days. Even the days themselves were starting to feel short.
He stared up at the ceiling (bunk).
There was a reason he didn't give up.
After all, he had already earned so much and was making almost twenty thousand a day. By any measure, he was way up there in the income class.
But he didn't want to let his guard down.
It was all money from a system he didn't truly understand. It claimed to be infinite - but was it really?
That's why he needed to work extremely hard. Make use of it to build something truly his own.
Also, the money from the system wasn't exactly legal.
Although he could pay taxes on it, no one knew where it came from. He needed to work backwards - using the system money to create a legitimate source for it.
Otherwise, he might end up stuck in jail with infinite money.
He thought of Xingyao.
The name had been approved, and he had submitted the documents. The license should probably be ready by Monday, and he could have the seals and bank account by Tuesday. Then he could sign a contract with Su Yue as their first talent.
Speaking of, Mengqi had yet to give him the contract sample. He should explain the situation to Su Yue first.
It could be seen that he was taking a bit of a risk - preparing all of this without even being sure Su Yue would agree.
But he wasn't too worried about that.
He understood her character.
He decided that tomorrow, after their daily meeting, he would go to Mengqi to pick up the contract sample. They could also edit the title track while he was there.
Since they were planning for it to look like an accidental leak, they needed to edit it a bit - make it sound like it was recorded in secret. Cut it down and leave just the catchiest parts. About fifteen to thirty seconds should do.
He also needed to find a water army.
There really was so much he needed to do.
He exhaled and decided he would think about it when the time came.
With that, he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
…
Sunday, October 25th.
The four of them sat together at the study desk for their daily meeting.
Li Jun spoke first.
"Saturday's performance report."
He glanced at his notes.
"Orders: 144. Items sold: 189. Revenue: ¥2,136. Cost of goods sold: ¥1,320."
He paused.
"Current cash on hand is ¥6,270. Inventory at cost is ¥2,404."
Lin Feng nodded.
Their income was steadily climbing.
Although this business wasn't gaining money as fast as Tianji Capital, it wasn't all that far off either. Especially considering they had invested less than five thousand at the start, while they were burning that much every day for Tianji.
He turned to Chen Ming.
"How are things going on your end?"
Chen Ming leaned back.
"Even after what happened with the head of the incubator program, there are still competitors eyeing this pie."
He shrugged.
"But I don't think there's any need to worry."
He crossed his arms.
"We've almost completely taken over the entire freshman year. Almost ninety percent of their spending is going through us instead of the local shops."
He continued.
"And the same thing is about to happen with the senior years. We already have deliverers from the senior years, and we're quickly converting them into customers. Even some teachers are using our services now."
He paused.
"By next month, we should have completely assimilated the campus. To be honest, we could even begin expanding outward."
Lin Feng nodded.
This was impressive.
That being said, he didn't think expanding outward would be that easy.
He thought for a moment, then nodded again.
"Good work. Keep paying attention to the outside market."
He met Chen Ming's eyes.
"As for the expansion, I have some ideas."
Chen Ming nodded.
Then they all turned to Zhang Wei.
"Everything's going well on my side. Except for some small problems. Well, for now anyway…"
He explained.
"When I first deployed our mini program, we were using WeChat's own hosting. And when we moved to our own separate app, I used my personal hosting plan to host the backend."
He frowned.
"But it was only meant for personal projects. With how our users are increasing daily, although it hasn't caused issues yet, it's a ticking time bomb."
He looked at Lin Feng.
"I think we should probably prepare some money for the company's own hosting and start the migration. It's best if we do it now while there isn't much traffic."
Lin Feng nodded.
That sounded reasonable.
He turned to Li Jun.
"Discuss things with Zhang Wei and assign an IT budget."
Li Jun nodded.
"On that note," he added, "our storage might also need an upgrade."
He tapped his pen against the desk.
"It's functional for now, but only because we refill about three times a week. If we really are planning on expanding outward, not even refilling three times a day could save us."
Lin Feng nodded.
"Yeah, we should plan for that too."
He leaned back.
"I'll look into a good location."
With that, the meeting was concluded.
