Chapter 19: Echoes of the Void — A New Warning 🌌🕳️
Three years had passed since Gojung's sacrifice. The world was at peace, but Ryun's heart remained restless. Every night, he visited the monument where Gojung's statue stood. He could feel something changing in the very air he breathed.
🏛️ The Movement of the Monument
One evening, as the sun began to set, a single black droplet fell from the eyes of Gojung's stone statue. It wasn't a tear; it was Liquid Void.
Ryun gasped. "Gojung? Can you hear me?"
Suddenly, the ground at the statue's feet cracked open, and a letter made of pure shadow emerged. As soon as Ryun touched it, Gojung's scream echoed inside his mind:
"The gate is fracturing... They are more terrifying than the Emperor... Do not let them through!"
⚔️ The Reunion of the Guardians
Ryun immediately sent a signal to the Seven Cities. Within hours, the remaining guardians arrived:
Kael (⚡): Who now managed the world's power grids.
Yuna & Seiya (❄️🌊): Who were protecting the oceans.
Minho (🌿): Whose greenery had now spread across the globe.
Akira (🍃): Who had become the Queen of the Skies.
Noct (🕳️): Who was researching the remnants of the Void.
"Gojung is in trouble," Ryun said, his voice grim. "And he's not alone. There is something on the other side of that portal that wants to erase our very existence."
🌑 The New Enemy: 'The Abyssal Guardians'
Suddenly, the sky above the monument tore open once again. But this time, it wasn't the Emperor. Three shadowy figures descended. They were the ancient protectors of the Void itself—the Abyssal Guardians.
Their leader, Zhou, stepped forward. His power was so immense that Ryun's Crimson Sword began to vibrate on its own.
"You sealed the gate, but you stole our brother (Gojung)," Zhou's voice was icy. "Either return him to us, or watch your entire world dissolve into nothingness."
🛡️ An Impossible Mission
Noct stepped forward. "Gojung cannot return. He has become the key to the gate itself. If he steps out, everything collapses."
"Then we will go inside and save him!" Ryun drew his sword from its sheath. "We are going back into the portal that Gojung locked."
The warriors (with Mei-Lin now standing among them) were stunned. Entering the portal was a death sentence. But for Ryun, his brother was worth more than his life.
