Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Android 21

"Phew, finally got those two big shots out of here," Bardock said, letting out a long breath as he watched the seven-colored streams of light vanish into the sky.

According to the records of Dragon Ball Super, after returning this time, Beerus would enter a deep sleep lasting thirty-three years.

The next time he awakened would be during the God of Destruction arc, after Frieza's revival.

Bardock thought to himself, With that much time, I might not completely dominate Beerus, but being evenly matched should be possible, right? Otherwise, how can I call myself a transmigrator?

However, that wasn't the problem he needed to worry about right now.

The real problem was simple—and infuriating.

How the hell was he supposed to get back to Saiyan Star?

When he came here, he'd only focused on hitching a ride with Whis. He hadn't brought a flight device.

He wanted to contact Saiyan Star's space launch center and have them send a ship, but only then did he realize something tragic.

He wasn't wearing a communicator.

Earth's technology hadn't developed to the point of interstellar travel yet.

The only person Bardock could think of who could leave Earth was Tights—and she had already departed aboard Jaco's Galactic Patrol ship.

Bardock frowned deeply, muttering, "What now? Am I really going to be stuck on Earth?"

He ran a hand irritably through his hair. "No… I have to figure something out."

At that moment, the hot pot restaurant owner noticed Bardock pacing and scratching his head outside.

He stepped out and asked with concern, "Young man, is something troubling you? I've seen you standing here for quite a while."

Bardock looked up at him. Earlier, he'd been too busy entertaining Beerus and Whis to pay attention to the man.

Now that he looked more closely, the middle-aged owner seemed strangely familiar—yet Bardock couldn't immediately place him.

In the end, Bardock could only shake his head with a wry smile. "It's nothing. I'm just thinking about how to get home."

The owner, having just earned a huge profit from Bardock, spoke warmly.

"If you don't mind, tell me what's bothering you. I'm older and have seen more of the world—maybe I can help."

Bardock paused, then asked curiously, "Boss, may I ask your name?"

"Gero," the man replied casually.

The moment he heard that name, Bardock's memories from his previous life came crashing back.

Gero.

A name far more famous than Dr. Mu to Dragon Ball fans.

If someone didn't know him, that was fine—but no one didn't know Android 18, the fan-favorite beauty he created.

Dr. Gero was ruthless. Besides Android 17 and Android 18, his ultimate creation—Cell—had once driven the Z Fighters to the brink.

If not for his obsession with the Cell Games, the entire story might have ended in disaster.

No wonder I didn't recognize him, Bardock realized. I came too early.

How did this fairly handsome middle-aged man eventually turn into that disheveled old scientist?

"Come, let's talk inside," Bardock said excitedly, grabbing Gero's hand and pulling him back into the shop.

They found a quiet corner and sat down.

Dr. Gero sighed and said emotionally, "I opened this hot pot restaurant because of my daughter's request."

He paused, sadness flickering in his eyes. "Six years ago, my wife passed away not long after giving birth to her."

Bardock lowered his voice. "My condolences."

"I cherish her more than anything," Gero continued. "She was born on the twenty-first… so I named her Android 21."

Bardock's heart skipped a beat.

Android 21.

In his previous life, she was an original character from Dragon Ball FighterZ, possessing intelligence rivaling Dr. Gero himself.

At this point, Bardock felt genuinely unsettled.

When Reg appeared, he thought this was the GT timeline. Then Beerus showed up. Now even characters outside the original canon existed.

What kind of messed-up world is this? Bardock frowned. This is completely beyond my understanding.

Dr. Gero noticed his expression. "Young man, what are you muttering about?"

Bardock snapped back to reality. "Nothing. Just… feeling a bit emotional."

At that moment, the door burst open.

A small girl in a school uniform—with messy brown hair, glasses, and the energy of a demon—kicked it wide open and shouted, "Old man! I've decided! We're not running a hot pot restaurant anymore!"

She put her hands on her hips and laughed wildly. "We're going to create an organization and conquer the world! Hahahaha!"

When Gero didn't respond immediately, she tilted her head in confusion. Then she noticed Bardock.

"Huh? Who's this?" she demanded. "Android 8—hit him!"

At the doorway stood a large figure carrying a pink schoolbag. In a simple, honest voice, he replied, "Okay."

He put down the bag, clenched his fists, and prepared to strike.

"Stop!" Gero shouted.

Android 8 immediately froze, standing obediently in place.

Gero sighed helplessly. "This is my daughter, Android 21. The one beside her is someone I rescued and modified—Android 8. He's her bodyguard and playmate."

Bardock had recognized Android 8 the moment he appeared.

He smiled calmly. "It's fine, Boss Gero. No need to worry."

Turning to Android 21, Bardock said, "You just mentioned conquering the world. I'm very interested. Care to tell me your plan?"

Android 21 was still a child. Hearing someone take her seriously, she immediately perked up.

She jumped onto a stool and began explaining excitedly, eyebrows dancing.

"First, I'll build the strongest Android army ever! Then I'll defeat everyone and make them obey me!"

Bardock asked with interest, "How strong does this Android army need to be?"

She tilted her head thoughtfully. "Super strong! Bullets and swords won't hurt them—and they'll shoot super powerful lasers!"

Bardock nodded approvingly. "Sounds good. Then what?"

She grew even more excited. "Then I'll occupy all the cities and make everyone work for me—and cook tons of delicious food for me!"

Bardock shook his head slightly and began outlining a revised plan.

From recruiting members and building legitimacy, to post-conquest governance and long-term stability, he explained everything in detail.

Android 21's eyes grew brighter with every word. Her gaze toward Bardock slowly turned into admiration.

She had never realized conquering the world required this much thought.

"You're amazing!" she declared at last. "From now on, you're my boss!"

Bardock, his throat dry from talking nonstop, finally relaxed.

If she hadn't agreed by now, he would've run out of ideas.

Subduing Android 21 meant securing Dr. Gero as well. A daughter's word carried absolute weight.

"Now," Bardock said, "let's begin the first step toward conquering the world."

Android 21's eyes sparkled. "What is it?"

"We name the organization."

She pushed up her glasses, thought for a moment, then pointed at the red ribbon hanging on the shop door.

"Red Ribbon," she said decisively. "Our organization will be called the Red Ribbon Army."
