Chapter 1 - A Lie That Saved The City

Ah! Die, you fucking bastard! You deserved this! If only everyone had known your true face!"

That day, the boy stabbed the supe mercilessly with a small knife. Blood gushed violently from the supe's throat. Then the boy kept driving the blade into his chest-again and again-until the supe finally collapsed and died.

PRESENT DAY:-

LIZARD: Where the fuck are you hiding, you losers? What happened, Mighty Guy-did you piss your pants? Do you remember those days when you used to suck up to me? Come out, Super Five!

People screamed in terror. They ran for their lives as Lizard attacked Bright City. With his massive tail, he crushed houses, shops-everything in sight. He was fast, monstrously fast. People were being injured everywhere; many lay half-dead on the streets. Now, Lizard was heading straight toward the Super Five headquarters.

A Child: Fantastic Guy, where are you? Please save me-my leg is stuck!

Suddenly, Fantastic Guy burst onto the scene. With his magic, he freed the child's leg.

Fantastic Guy: Dont be afraid, child. The Super Five are here.

Super Girl: Yeah, we're here-and we're going to fuck this Lizard up.

Using her powers, Super Girl froze every object suspended in the air-everything that was about to crash onto people.

Mr. Sonic: Oh shit... there are thousands of people here. Everyone needs to be saved-but with my speed, they will be.

As Super Girl held the objects aloft, Mr. Sonic evacuated the civilians in flashes of blinding speed.

Tank: HAAAA! I'm not letting this Lizard go today. He's fucking done.

Using his monstrous size and raw strength, Tank stopped a building from collapsing.

Lizard: So you assholes finally showed up. Where's your boss?

Mr. Sonic: He's gone on some important work. Besides, we don't need him-we're more than enough.

Lizard: Or did he run off to hide some dirty secret? Tell him to come back. My cock is itching for his spit-filled mouth.

Mr. Fantastic: Stop this. Why are you doing all this? What do you want?

Lizard: I want Mighty Guy.

Mr. Fantastic: Why?

Lizard: Revenge. He killed my wife and-

Before he could finish, Mr. Sonic appeared in an instant and ripped Lizard apart at supersonic speed.

Super Girl: What the fuck did you just do?, you idiot!

A child witnessed everything and said-

"You killed the villain, Mr. Sonic... but supes never kill villains."

Tank reverted to his human form.

Tank: Oh shit...

Mr. Sonic: Yeah, I killed him. And now that you've seen it... we'll have to kill you too. Can't let our reputation get fucked.

Sonic slaughtered the child.

Super Girl: This is wrong. You crossed the line. What the hell are we going to tell people now?

Ashley: Leave it to me. I'll handle it.

Later, on every media channel, Ashley announced how the Super Five had saved the city and imprisoned Lizard. Sadly, she said, a child had died during the chaos. If only Mighty Guy had been there, the child would've survived-but no one can be in two places at once.

Stephen and his friend Henry watched this news in a café.

Henry: Good thing this city has the strongest supes.

Stephen: Yeah. If Mighty Guy had been there, nothing would've happened to that kid.

A stranger nearby spoke calmly-

Stranger: You sweet little fools... what you see isn't the truth. The. day you learn the truth, you'll shove armor up your asses just to survive these supes.

The stranger was dressed entirely in black—a long coat flowing over dark trousers. A black cap shadowed his face, concealing his expressions, while a black eyepatch covered his right eye. His presence was unsettling, not because of what he did, but because of what he seemed to know. He carried himself with an eerie calm, as if he stood apart from the world he observed.

Stephen: What bullshit are you talking? They protect this city. You should be grateful instead of trashing them.

The stranger smirked, adjusted his hat, and walked away.

Stephen: Hey! Where the hell are you going? We're not done talking!

Henry: Forget him. Tell me-how's your job? You're a biotechnologist now, right?

Stephen: Yeah, but the job's shit. My boss treats me like garbage and barely pays me. After rent, I live in a disgusting cheap hotel. What about you? How's your supermarket business?

Henry: Doing great.

S

tephen was a simple, unassuming man. Standing at five feet five inches tall, he was not imposing, yet his body was athletic and well-kept. His life was weighed down by loneliness, a quiet emptiness that followed him everywhere. He was not wealthy, nor did he chase luxury; he lived modestly, surviving rather than thriving. Beneath his calm exterior lay a man searching for purpose in a world that rarely noticed him.

Stephen reached his company and sat with his team.

Mark: Everything's perfect-so why the fuck isn't this medicine working on the mouse?

Stephen: I know what needs to be done.

Mark: Oh look-the weakest employee in the company is talking.

Everyone laughed. Stephen felt humiliated.

Mark was the boss's golden boy.

Stephen's friend whispered-

"Ignore him. You're the smartest guy here. You just need to prove it. You still walk five kilometers every day?"

Stephen: Yeah.

Armin: Buy a damn bike already. And get out of that shithole you live in. Buy a house. I know someone who'll get you a cheap deal.

Stephen: If I spend all my money, I won't have anything left. I'm trying to save.

Armin: Saving's fine-but don't live like a miser. Buy a bike, buy a house, find a partner. Loneliness will kill you otherwise.

Stephen: You're right. I should listen.

That evening, Stephen bought a house, a bike-and a puppy. To the puppy's neck, he tied his father's watch, his most precious keepsake. After everything, only 110 dollars remained.

He cleaned the bike obsessively, covered it, and parked it.

He cooked dinner, fed the puppy, and ate beside him.

Stephen: I haven't named you yet. I want something special-because you're special to me. I gave you my father's watch. You'll erase my loneliness forever. Don't ever leave me. I'll take care of you. Walks, baths, food-everything.

That night, the puppy slept beside him, licking his face. Stephen felt truly happy.

Tomorrow, I'll prove I'm not weak, he decided.

I'll be bold. I'll build a family. Tomorrow, a new Stephen is born.

A crash echoed from the sky.

The puppy ran outside, barking wildly. Stephen followed-terrified.

Tank lay in his monstrous form, fighting an even larger monster. The beast hurled Tank straight into Stephen's house.

Tank: Hey! You got a bone or something?

Stephen: No!

Tank: That's the only way to kill him. Animal bones-his weakness. He was a vegetarian when human.

The monster charged.

Tank grabbed Stephen's bike.

Stephen: NO! Don't use my bike! It'll break! All my money-please don't!

Tank smashed the bike into the monster's face.

Stephen broke down.

Half the house collapsed.

The puppy barked.

Tank's eyes lit up.

Tank: Found the bone.

Stephen screamed-

"NOOOOO!"

Tank ripped the puppy apart, pulled out its bone, and drove it through the monster's heart. The monster dropped dead.

Stephen collapsed, screaming, shaking-his body frozen in trauma.

Tank returned to human form.

Tank: I did what I had to. I saved lives-including yours. I'll get you a new bike, a new house, another puppy.

Stephen (crying): A bike and a house can be replaced. But where the fuck will you bring my puppy and my father's watch from?

Tank: What's done is done. Move on.

Stephen: Move on? You motherfucker-you took everything from me. My happiness, my life. That stranger was right. If people knew your truth, they'd fear you. You supes exploit the weak. Now get the fuck out of my sight.

Tank: You fucking insulted me...

Tank transformed again and lifted Stephen, ready to kill him.

Voices echoed-

"Tank saved us!"

Tank dropped Stephen.

Tank: I wanted to help you. You pissed me off instead.

People cheered Tank.

Stephen punched the floor, then stared at Tank with bloodshot eyes-filled with grief, rage, trauma, and revenge.

Stephen (whispering):

"I will not spare you."
