Chapter 64 - Chapter 64 – Ripples

Selene dropped PK at his rented house just after midnight.

The engine idled for a moment longer than necessary.

She hesitated, fingers tightening on the steering wheel, then spoke softly,

"Can we… keep in touch?"

PK turned, expression calm, unreadable as ever.

"Sure," he replied casually.

No promises.

No warmth.

No hesitation.

He stepped out of the car and walked inside—

without once looking back.

Selene watched him until the door closed.

Her heart felt light.

And dangerously hopeful.

Back at the base, Selene went straight to her father.

She narrated everything—from the descent into the underground casino, the chess table, the impossible bets, the final six, and the silence that followed.

She skipped nothing.

Joshua listened without interrupting.

When she finally finished, he leaned back slowly, exhaling.

"…I underestimated him," he admitted.

"Chess, strategy, timing, nerve—he's frighteningly complete."

Selene's face flushed at her father's rare praise.

Joshua glanced at her and smiled knowingly.

"So," he asked calmly, "what do you think of PK now?"

Selene didn't answer.

She turned on her heel and rushed to her room, face burning red.

Joshua chuckled softly to himself.

For the first time in a long while, he felt at ease about his daughter's future.

Meanwhile, at Law Manor—

Eve entered quietly, her expression unusually animated.

She went straight to the twins' room and recounted everything that had happened—

the chess victories, the one-crore bet, the fifty-crore declaration, the final six.

By the time she finished, Lana and Luna were staring at her as if she had just told them a myth.

"…He beat the chess master?" Lana asked, stunned.

"Twice?" Luna added.

Eve nodded.

The twins exchanged a glance.

Their eyes shone with pride.

That's our PK.

Their hearts swelled—half admiration, half disbelief.

Eve watched them and smiled.

Happy…

yet just a little sad.

She masked it well.

PK, unaware of any of this, lay back on the couch in his rented house.

He stared at the ceiling, calm as ever.

He had no idea that across Z City—and far beyond it—

the underground elite were whispering about a young unknown who had shattered a legend and taken 300 crores in a single night.

No name.

No face.

Only fear and curiosity.

PK exhaled slowly.

Now, he thought,

how do I use this money?

Outside, the storm he had created was only beginning.
