Chapter 43 - Chapter 43 – Eyes and Elevators

PK went to class as usual—hands in pockets, expression neutral, mind calm.

Nothing about him looked different.

Yet something felt… off.

From the moment he sat down, he felt it.

Two pairs of eyes.

Fixed.

Persistent.

Unblinking.

Lana and Luna.

They weren't even trying to hide it.

PK shifted slightly in his seat.

The staring continued.

He frowned internally.

Did I forget to wash my face?

Is there ink on my forehead?

Did I accidentally walk in with my shirt inside out?

After five straight minutes of uninterrupted observation, PK gave up. He pulled out his phone and typed.

PK:

"Is there something on my face?"

The reply came almost instantly.

From both of them.

At the same time.

Lana & Luna:

"Nothing on your face."

"Something about your face."

PK blinked.

Another message followed—again, synchronized.

Lana & Luna:

"Relax. We're just confirming you're real."

PK slowly raised his head and looked at them.

They smiled.

Identically.

PK stared.

They waved.

Identically.

PK looked away, completely shocked.

What just happened?

Why did that feel like an ambush?

Why are they smiling like that?

Before his thoughts could spiral further, his phone buzzed again.

This time, a different name.

Dustin.

Dustin:

"Boss, company relocation is complete."

PK straightened slightly and opened the message.

Dustin:

"We've shifted near Brooks Mall. As you know, it's the central hub of Z City—the largest mall with everything from electronics to fashion."

"Adjacent to it is Square City Building, a 20-floor corporate complex."

"As requested, I rented the entire 5th floor for Titan Studio—large workspace, future expansion-ready."

PK read it once.

Then again.

Efficient. Central. Strategic.

Exactly what he wanted.

He typed a short reply.

PK:

"Good job."

He locked the phone and leaned back in his chair.

Classroom noise faded into the background.

On one side—two synchronized mysteries smiling at him for no clear reason.

On the other—a company operating smoothly under his name, unknown to the world.

PK exhaled slowly.

Things are moving, he thought.

Fast.

And for the first time in a long while—

He didn't mind being stared at.
