After receiving the Lion's assurance, Emrys still had one more thing he wanted to test.
So, he turned to the Lion and Zabriel, saying, "You two come stand here by me, and don't move.
I have an idea."
Although the Lion was still bewildered, he trusted Emrys and stood beside him with Zabriel.
"Boy, what exactly are you up to?"
"It's a secret."
Emrys said mysteriously.
In reality, he wanted to test whether the Traveler System could allow a powerful being of the Lion's caliber to follow him to other Worlds.
If it could—that would mean he would have a Gene-Father as a strong arm in the future!
Emrys had tested it before, but none of them were Gene-Fathers; the strongest was 'Winnie.' Now he wanted to see if a Gene-Father could also do it.
Soon, he closed his eyes and silently chanted in his mind.
"Traveler, activate, target—Transformers world,
Holy Flame Adjudicator!"
Whoosh!
A flash of light, and the three figures vanished into the desert, as if they had never appeared, leaving only a few footprints in the sand as proof of their presence.
An extremely strange and uncomfortable sensation made the Lion let out a muffled grunt; he felt an immense pressure, as if he was being squeezed from the inside out by an invisible, immense force!
Fortunately, this feeling did not last long.
When his vision returned, he found himself in the bridge command center!
"Are you alright, lord?"
Emrys' worried inquiry came from beside him.
"It's nothing serious."
The Lion frowned slightly, moved his limbs, and took a few breaths of air before his pale face gradually regained its color.
"What about you two? Did you feel anything?"
"I'm fine, lord." Zabriel also noticed that the Lion's face was unnatural for a few seconds, which was quite rare for a Gene-Father!
One must know that even after intense battles, the Lion had never shown weakness, yet just now, the Gene-Father had gasped for breath a few times.
Emrys also noticed this.
"Can you tell me what happened to you just now? This is very important to me!
""The Lion was silent for a few seconds, then said, "I felt a great pressure, like being placed in an environment with immense gravity, from my internal organs to my skin, I endured great pressure in just a few seconds."
"Such a thing happened?"
Emrys looked thoughtful. When he had traveled through Worlds before, neither Winnie nor Olson had experienced the situation the Lion described.
This meant that a Gene-Father like the Lion would endure great pressure when traveling to other Worlds?
"It's fine now."
The Lion slowly exhaled; such a small amount of pressure was nothing to him.
"Is this the 'Warship' you spoke of?"
He had already roughly scanned it.
Judging by the size of the command center, this Warship should be a Martian-class cruiser, which was quite rare among Rogue Traders.
"That's right, Lord." Emrys said with pride.
"This is my Martian-class cruiser, the Holy Flame Adjudicator!"
"What about the weapon systems?"
The first thing the Lion focused on was the weapons.
Emrys snapped his fingers, and the hidden Trinity Machine Spirit brought up the Warship's weapon array system, presenting it as a holographic projection.
"Nova cannon, macro cannon arrays, lance arrays—" The Lion glanced at them and sighed.
"I never thought that after sleeping for ten thousand years, I would wake up to find the Imperium's weapon systems still the same as they were ten thousand years ago. I don't know whether to be relieved or sad."
This meant that in the ten thousand years he had slept, the Imperium of Man's industrial level had barely progressed, and had even regressed, compared to before he fell asleep!
This thing was just barely usable.
With the Lion's discerning eye, he naturally wouldn't think much of a mere Martian-class cruiser, but his gaze suddenly fixed on a certain spot, and he raised an eyebrow.
"Boy, is this what you meant by—a little bit of heresy?!"
Emrys followed the Lion's gaze and saw several repair scarabs, clearly not human creations but products of the Necrons, busily moving about inside the hull.
"You know, as a Rogue Trader, you can understand, right?" Emrys wiped his sweat, forcing a smile.
"Is that all the courage you have?"
The Lion didn't care at all and chuckled.
"I told you, I'm not that rigid bastard Guilliman. I won't mind this behavior. To be honest—the heretical trinkets collected by the Dark Angels Legion back then were far more impressive than yours. I'll take you to see them sometime to broaden your horizons!"
As he spoke, the Lion strode out, wanting to inspect other equipment on the Warship to prepare himself mentally and plan accordingly.
However, just as the Lion stepped out of the bridge command center, he ran into several genuine Machine Priests clad in rusty red robes... With the Lion's abnormal perception, he naturally saw at a glance that these 'Machine Priests' were purely mechanical lifeforms!
"Ahem, as a Rogue Trader, having some alien servants is understandable, right?" Emrys followed behind, explaining guiltily.
"Well, not bad."
The Lion's smile was a bit forced.
Zabriel looked horrified, staring at these purely mechanical lifeform Tech-Priests, his mouth twitching as he looked at Emrys.
"I beg you, please never let the Martian Mechanicum see these things."
He couldn't imagine what would happen if the Mechanicum discovered these mechanical lifeforms cosplaying them. A second religious war?
Zabriel shivered.
And the Lion, at a corner, also encountered a group of Flesh-Eaters being escorted, responsible for the Warship's bottom-level maintenance and various heavy labor tasks.
""—" The Lion took a deep breath, his smile a bit stiff.
"It's fine, it's normal, alien slaves—other Rogue Traders have them too."
But then, when the Lion arrived at the engine room and discovered the Trinity Machine Spirit, which resembled an abomination intelligence, and the Necron Lord busy with research, he almost couldn't control himself and cleaved the thing with his sword.
"Well—"
Emrys explained again.
"This one has some connection with me and is currently on the Warship, responsible for some research work. Ahem—as a Rogue Trader, cooperating with xenos without violating the Imperium's stance should be considered normal, right?"
The Lion glared at him.
After a long period of thought, he finally sighed.
"Be careful yourself. xenos and abomination intelligence, both carry great risks.
A slight misstep could lead to self-destruction, understand?"
"I understand, I understand!"
Emrys nodded vigorously.
"What other 'surprises' do you have waiting for me?"
The Lion was also tired. No wonder this boy insisted on him giving his assurance beforehand; if it were anyone else, he would have long since cleaved them with his sword!
"Hehe, you saw through me?"
Emrys grinned and shouted into the comms array.
"Let them in."
Subsequently, the airlock chamber opened.
Nearly a hundred Space Marines in black armor filed in, and the leading Space Marine, upon seeing the figure seated in the command center, couldn't help but tremble.
"Lion...—Lion?!"
Olson's pupils constricted.
They had thought it was another mission that Emrys had summoned them to the command center for, but they never expected it to be their own father!
The Lion's mouth twitched, and he turned to Emrys.
"This is your 'surprise' for me?!"
God damn, an entire Chapter of 'Fallen Angels'!
He took back his previous words—this boy had more guts than the Dark Angels Legion back then, daring to harbor so many Fallen Angels. He truly wasn't afraid of death!
