Heat was soaring in the sky. He entered the land surrounded by water. "I've made it to my first destination. I have a feeling. My first member is here," Heat thought to himself.
The land of ice reflected beautifully. The heavy, freezing air pushed against his wings. Dragons soared and roared in the land. He made his entrance to the Dragon Kingdom. He slowly landed at the kingdom palace's main entrance.
"Halt!" the guards of the main entrance shouted. "State your business with our kingdom!"
Heat answered, "My name is Heat. I'm here to see the dragon royalty."
"Heat? Oh yes, we have been told about you. The king and queen of our kingdom will meet you shortly," the guards said, as their memories clicked.
They guided him to their leaders' presence. The majesties sat relaxed on their thrones. The room was as sparkling as the frosted land outside.
"Wow. This throne room is awesome," Heat was clearly stunned.
The guards made their exit, and Heat had a private audience with the king and queen of the Dragon Kingdom.
King Jaka was the dragon king, and his dragon wife was Queen Teyahisu. King Jaka was known as an incredible fire elemental dragon, and Queen Teyahisu was a skilled wind elemental dragon.
"Hey, I'm Heat. Your guards forgot to introduce me," Heat said.
"King Gorame informed us about you," King Jaka said.
"What did that gorilla say about me? I never knew that he was a gossiper!" Heat said, his tone loud and unsettled.
"Relax, Heat. King Gorame wasn't gossiping about you. He just told us about a red eagle who was traveling from kingdom to kingdom. He told all the Breamo leaders. If he didn't do that, then you would have had problems entering many kingdoms," Queen Teyahisu explained.
"Now that you're here, Heat, tell us what you want. Why are you here?" King Jaka asked, his voice demanding.
"You don't have to be rude. I'm looking for an ally, that's all," Heat said with confidence.
"An ally? You came to our kingdom to take one of our xtros? You can forget about it!" King Jaka declared.
"What? I only need one xtro. Why would you refuse to help me?" Heat asked, his eyes blazing in rage.
"This kingdom cannot afford to lose an xtro. Whether they are strong or weak, every xtro of our kingdom lives to serve this kingdom's purpose," King Jaka said, his claw rubbing his forehead.
"We apologize, but you cannot take one of our xtros as your ally. My husband is right. Giving you an xtro is a careless decision," Queen Teyahisu said.
"I guess I wasted my time coming here. But I completely understand. Please excuse me, I have other places to visit," Heat said, his eyes hinting disappointment.
He was about to take his leave when Idra charged into the room. Idra was an elite in the Dragon Kingdom. His scales were shiny and frosted like an ice land. His claws were sharp, like finger-sized swords. His body was as blue as a wide ocean, and his teeth were as white as snow.
Idra's chest held urgent news inside. He broke the news to them. "Your majesties, there's something urgent that needs your attention."
Heat stopped as he caught their conversation.
"What is it? What's going on?" King Jaka said, his eyes narrowed.
"The Nogazu duo attacked and killed a king of a branch kingdom. This branch kingdom is supposed to be protected by this main kingdom," Idra reported.
King Jaka and Queen Teyahisu calmly digested the news.
"Idra, I have a mission for you. Choose a partner who will assist you during this mission. I want you to capture the Nogazu duo and bring them here," King Jaka ordered.
"Understood. But who should I choose as my partner in this mission?" Idra asked.
"I can go with you. I do need to exercise my body. Fighting these Nogazu duo sounds fun enough for me," Heat responded as quick as lightning.
King Jaka nodded his head. "Fine. You can join Idra. I can't afford to lose more kings under my watch. Remember to capture them without failure."
Idra and Heat were ready to carry out their mission. They took off within the blink of an eye.
They made it to the Penguin Kingdom under the night sky, a kingdom as small as the stars in the night sky. Snow poured down slowly. They made their way into the king's castle. The queen of the Penguin Kingdom was gazing up at the night sky.
"Your majesty, Queen Deso, I've arrived," Idra said as he approached Queen Deso.
"Idra of the Dragon Kingdom. I welcome you to the Penguin Kingdom. I'm guessing you're here because you want to find the Nogazu duo."
"Yep. Anyway, we'll start searching now?" Heat asked.
"Don't worry, the cold doesn't affect me. Please stay here for the night. You can start your searching tomorrow," Queen Deso said, her tone softer than before.
"Please let my maids lead you to your room. Try making yourselves at home."
"Thank you for your hospitality, and sorry about your loss," Idra murmured with sympathy.
"Thank you. Your response towards this situation proves how much you and the Breamo leaders care. Now please, go and rest," Queen Deso said, tears slowly running down her face.
A maid of the queen stepped out of the castle and guided them to their sleeping area.
"Let me give you two some privacy," the maid said as she made her exit.
Idra and Heat had the room all to themselves. Their beds were as white as happy clouds, and the floor as green as trees during spring.
"I like the smell of air in this room. It smells like the fresh air of the great night sky. I also like the wide space of this room. You can have your side of the room, and I'll have my own side of the room," Heat said, admiring his surroundings.
"I'll take the bed closer to the left, and you can have that one on the right," Idra said, his claw pointing at the bed.
Heat jumped onto the bed on the right and made himself at home. "Fine by me. I was thinking the same thing."
"So, who are these Nogazu duo?" Heat asked.
"You don't know the Nogazu duo? Why join me in this mission if you don't know them at all?" Idra asked, his head lying down on the bed.
"I just like having fun with new opponents. And I don't like xtros that harm others," Heat said, his voice serious but calm.
"You're sounding more serious than ever. I don't think I've ever seen you this serious," Idra said, his eyes gazing at the ceiling.
"Evil has so many ways of taking xtros we care about," Heat murmured, his voice as light as air, his thoughts holding onto memories of his brothers.
The room's light air became heavy as silence passed by. Idra broke the silence and explained, "The Nogazu duo are dangerous. As you probably know, emyiko energy gives us a way to use our ebatix. The higher the emyiko energy, the stronger the xtro."
Heat snapped out of his mood. "Hey, I already know about the importance of emyiko energy. Can you tell me more about the Nogazu duo? What makes them so dangerous? I want you to tell me everything about them."
Idra described, "The Nogazu duo attack xtros and absorb their emyiko energy. Each time they do this, it makes them stronger. Both of them have different elements."
"Okay, what are the names of these xtros?" Heat asked.
Idra explained, "There is a purple psychic dragon named Tosuba, and her brother Phalotu, a black dragon with magic elemental abilities. What they have most in common is the ability to absorb emyiko energy."
"I'm really looking forward to meeting them," Heat said, his voice sounding tired but thrilled. "Why are we here in this kingdom then?"
"We're here to send our condolences to Queen Deso. After that, we'll continue on our mission," Idra softly said.
Heat went deep into his comfort zone and entered the world of dreams. Moments after that, Idra's eyes became heavier, and he drifted off. The room became silent. Only light snoring was heard in their room.
