The Insect King Palace appeared to be right at the foot of the mountain, so close yet so far. They had been walking for a long time without making any progress, and instead had been met with wave after wave of assassination attempts.
Lou Xianyue had left several marks along their path. When he saw them again, he finally confirmed that they were trapped in a living, shifting maze.
The purpose of such a spatial maze was to trap people forever, slowly draining their life force until they died.
If Lou Xianyue were in his own body, a spatial maze like this would be trivial. But he was currently using Sang Luo's body and its many limitations, so his only option was to first try and break the array.
