After listening to the Beastmen's report on recent city construction in the council hall, An Jin organized the statistical ledgers. Then, she packed up and hurried to the livestock pastures.
Many new lambs and calves had been born this year.
The once-spacious pens were now starting to feel a little crowded.
"Next, double the size of the pens," An Jin ordered. "Report any needed materials or manpower to the supply depot."
The Beastman nodded hurriedly, accepted the order, and left.
"Stop playing in the water and come back here." Noticing the three cubs who had been circling her legs were gone, An Jin looked up to find them splashing around in the river.
The river looked shallow, but it grew deeper the further in one went. Worried about an accident, An Jin quickly called them back.
"Awoo! Awoo!"
Before they could run over, a huge sound erupted from the riverbank, and a dripping, black and red snake's head emerged.
