Pov Narrator.
The next morning...
Isagi woke up as usual. After getting ready, he stood in front of the bathroom mirror, trying out a new look. His hair, which was normally sticking up in all directions and made him look like a sea urchin, was no longer like that. He had wet his hair to undo his usual hairstyle, and now his face could be seen much more clearly.
Isagi slightly tilted his head to one side and then to the other, carefully observing himself in the mirror. For some reason, that appearance felt all too familiar to him.
"Such potent genes from the hard worker..." he said while looking himself up and down. He couldn't help but let out a small laugh when he realized that, without his usual hairstyle, he looked way too much like Toji. "I look pretty aesthetic, but I look better with my usual hairstyle. I'm already used to it."
Isagi said as he dried his hair, gradually recovering its characteristic pointed shape in all directions.
"Better, honestly. I have several little things to try out. It was like an early Christmas: a new weapon, the last shikigami of the Ten Shadows and several techniques that come with the Magatsumi."
Isagi dried his face with the towel while mentally going over all the new things he now had at his disposal. If he could try all of that today and, by chance, happened to run into a demon It would be fucking great. He could already imagine himself making the hand gesture: "With this sacred treasure I summon..."
"I feel like my hands are starting to itch." He said, lowering his gaze to look at his hands. It had to be that natural Megumin instinct wanting to make the hand gesture and summon Mahoraga at the first opportunity he got. "Nothing can go wrong."
Isagi set the towel aside and left the bathroom to put on his Devil Hunter uniform, as it was almost time to start work.

Location: ???
A dry, powerful blow echoed throughout the room. One of the higher-ups of Public Safety had slammed his open palm against the table.
"What the hell does this mean?!" he said, pointing at the new photograph sitting in the center of the table.
This meeting had been called as an emergency meeting. Silence and tension filled the room. No one seemed particularly eager to be the first to speak. The reason was right in front of them. A photograph. And it wasn't exactly an ordinary photograph. In it, Isagi and Makima could be clearly seen kissing during their outing.
Finally, one of them let out a heavy sigh.
"It seems that this isn't just a simple whim of Makima's." He said, interlocking his fingers seriously.
"This is serious. It seems this is no longer just a simple whim of Makima's. If this gets out of Japan, the number of international spies could increase. Not just to spy on us, but to look for him." Another of the higher-ups placed his finger over the photograph, partially covering Isagi's face." And you know what for... if Makima really grew attached to him..."
The man didn't need to finish the sentence. Everyone in that room understood perfectly what he was implying. The objective of the other nations would not be to kill Isagi. At least, not necessarily. They would try to capture him.
If they discovered that Isagi was one of the few individuals who could get close to Makima without being controlled, and that he also seemed to have developed a genuine bond with her, then he could become the Control Devil's only weak point.
An opportunity like this had never presented itself before. And precisely because of that, it was so tempting. No one knew if Makima would become attached to someone again in the future. As far as they knew, this could be something completely exceptional. Isagi must have something special to have managed to get so close to her.
"Then it seems we'll have to do it ourselves." One of the older higher-ups slowly straightened in his seat. The man's expression remained cold as he stared at the photograph. "Although, according to the reports, the young man seems to be quite strong, other countries could send their own creations to capture him. They could even try to reach an agreement with him to convince him to change countries."
No one interrupted.
"For the good of our nation and to keep our greatest weapon safe... this young man, Isagi Fushiguro, must die." He concluded while looking at the photograph again with a completely cold expression.
However, his gaze stopped especially on one person. Isagi. The young man who, without even knowing it, had just become a much bigger problem than any of them had anticipated.
"Couldn't we make sure that he stays? It could be advantageous. A second way to keep Makima under control. The contract with the prime minister has some loopholes." Another higher-up suggested thoughtfully, while looking at the photograph again. He didn't seem entirely convinced that killing the boy was really the best option.
"It could be an option, but there's a problem." Another one of those present rhythmically tapped his finger against the table while placing some papers in front of him." It seems that he only cares about money and what he can gain by helping others. Even if we manage to convince him through an agreement, nothing would stop him from accepting a better one later.
"Besides, he's not a devil. We can't make a contract with him, and if he makes a contract with Makima, she could break it or modify the conditions without us knowing anything. Tying him securely to Japan isn't a reliable option."
Everyone slowly nodded. The problem was that they didn't have time to think of possible long-term solutions. They needed a quick response before the information left the country.
That was the priority. Act as quickly as possible. If other governments discovered Isagi's existence and, above all, his relationship with Makima, Japan could face a much more complicated situation. They couldn't afford to let other nations be the first to move their pieces.
Therefore, the idea of eliminating Isagi remained the most viable and quickest option. They wouldn't need to invest resources into keeping him under surveillance indefinitely, nor risk the young man accepting a foreign offer, switching sides, or simply deciding to rebel against them in the future.
The simplest solution would be a discreet elimination. Or, if necessary, a carefully planned elimination.Si quieres, envíame la siguiente parte y mantendré exactamente el mismo formato y criterio.

Location: Public Safety.
Isagi entered Makima's office, as he wanted to see if there was any mission directly related to killing a demon so he could test out his new toy. He raised his hand in greeting as he walked toward the desk.
He wasn't going to lie, he was a little nervous inside. After what had happened at the end of the date, he didn't know exactly what had changed between them. Makima was still Makima, of course, but now there was that little detail that neither of them could ignore.
Isagi tried to behave normally, although part of him constantly wondered if their relationship would be different from now on.
"Any missions? Today I feel particularly energetic. I went to failure, ate my eight eggs, I'm full chamba; I'm only missing my dose of combat, since I want to try some things." Isagi said, stopping in front of Makima's desk without sitting down this time.
Makima observed him for a few seconds with her usual calm expression.
"Mmm... The demons haven't been that active lately, and the ones that appear are weak. The hunters from other divisions take care of them." She replied calmly as she stood up from her seat.
"Nooo! They're stealing my chamba!" Isagi frowned, clearly indignant because precisely on the day when he was full eggs there was no important work to do.
Makima softly hummed as she stopped in front of Isagi. Even after what had happened the previous day, it seemed that her obsession with working would never disappear. She found the situation slightly amusing. She still didn't quite understand that almost constant need Isagi had to get "chamba," as he called it himself.
"Is that what worries you? The work and not what happened between us?" Makima slightly tilted her head, observing him with curiosity.
Isagi remained silent for about two seconds. Then, he smiled somewhat foolishly while raising his hands, as if trying to calm the situation.
"Well, what do you want me to tell you? The truth is, I thought about it a little. You didn't reject me when it happened." Isagi said as he slowly lowered his hands, to which Makima slightly tilted her head." So, I think now we could be more than friends."
A small, slightly amused smile appeared on Makima's lips as she moved a little closer, clearly interested in that idea.
"More than friends? Would you like to say then that you want us to be...? Or should I say it?" Makima asked as she slowly ran her index finger over Isagi's chest, observing him with a certain expectation.
Isagi extended his hands. Although he was a little nervous inside, on the outside he tried to maintain that confident attitude that characterized him. He wrapped his hands around Makima's waist and gently pulled her toward him, making them both stand face to face.
"Bold." Despite her words, Makima offered no resistance. She simply rested her hands on Isagi's shoulders." So, Isagi... what do you want us to be?"
"You said that if I managed to take down the Gun Devil I could ask you for anything, right? Well, why wait?" Isagi replied with a smile.
Isagi had never had a girlfriend in either of his two lives, so, to be completely honest, he had no idea how he was supposed to behave in a relationship. He didn't know what to say, how to act, or even how romantic he was supposed to be. So, for the moment, he was simply improvising. He acted on instinct, hoping that would be enough.
He leaned a little closer toward Makima. His intentions were clear, and she did not reject them. She barely raised her gaze, accepting this new contact. It was still something new for her, but it wasn't unpleasant.
Makima closed her eyes as she softly and calmly reciprocated the kiss they were sharing. It was obvious what that meant, or at least it seemed so.
It was no longer simply a relationship between friends or coworkers. It was something deeper. And that caused a slight feeling in the Control Devil, who had spent practically her entire existence controlling others, even what they felt for her.
For a few moments, she simply allowed the moment to continue. When they separated, Makima opened her eyes again and smiled slightly.
"Is this what you want, Isagi? Is this your answer? Then you do find me attractive." Makima laughed lightly, her eyes shining with a small spark of interest and enjoyment at the situation.
"Why would I tell you no when it's yes?" Isagi nodded.
Makima was undeniably beautiful and sexy. Of course, not more attractive than training to failure to get the 45 arm. That would always be in first place. Aesthetics first and then Makima. It was a matter of priorities.
Bang!
The door suddenly opened. Both Isagi and Makima immediately turned their heads. They were definitely not in the most professional position possible.
Isagi still had one hand around Makima's waist, while she kept her hands resting on his shoulders. They were both far too close to each other to try to pretend that they were simply talking about work.
And there was only one person who entered an office without bothering to knock.
Power.
The Blood Devil stood in the doorway, staring fixedly at the scene. Isagi and Makima looked at her. Power looked at them. For a few seconds, no one said absolutely anything.
"Ah! I told you not to come in like that or Miss Makima is going to...!" Denji, annoyed because Power hadn't listened to him, was about to start another one of their fights.
Until he saw the same thing Power had. The rather close position of Isagi and Makima..Denji blinked a couple of times, as if he needed to make sure that what he was seeing was real. His eyes went from Isagi to Makima and then back to Isagi.
He felt a strange twist in his chest..It had nothing to do with that heart condition he had when he was a normal teenager. No, that feeling was different.
And he didn't like it. He didn't understand why it bothered him so much to see Isagi so close to Makima. It was an uncomfortable feeling that he couldn't explain.
"What the fuck are you two doing?" Denji asked.
Upon hearing that, Isagi finally let go of Makima and took a small step backward.
"Nothing happened."
"No, no, no! What do you mean nothing?! I saw you, dude! Why were you holding Miss Makima?!" Denji asked, pointing at Isagi accusingly, with an evident tone of anger.
Isagi raised an eyebrow.
"What are you, a cop to interrogate me?" he replied with a mocking smile.
Denji's reaction was far too obvious to him. Although Denji himself still didn't seem to understand exactly what he was feeling, Denji clenched his teeth, clearly irritated.
"Miss Makima! Why was Spiky Hair holding you and why were you two so close?!" he finally asked, turning toward Makima in search of answers.
Since Isagi clearly had no intention of giving him a serious answer, Denji decided to ask the person who, according to him, should know what the hell was going on. He didn't like what he had seen. And he liked even less how calmly Isagi seemed to take it.
"Why?" Makima thought about it for a few seconds, then looked at both Denji and Power with a slight smile." Because now Isagi and I are dating, as boyfriend and girlfriend."
"What the fuck?" Isagi's eyebrows shot up, since even he hadn't expected such an answer.
He stared at Makima for a few seconds, trying to process what she had just said. Although, considering the kisses and closeness they had shared lately, it wasn't entirely wrong for Makima to think that.
"B-Boyfriend and girlfriend?" Denji's voice trembled. For a few seconds, his anger disappeared completely, replaced by an expression of absolute shock.
His eyes widened as he looked first at Makima and then at Isagi, as if expecting one of them to say that it was a joke.
"Hahahahaha!" Power didn't miss the opportunity and laughed at Denji's expression. It was the first time she had seen him like this, completely speechless and not knowing what to say." Your face is so funny right now, you rascal! You should see yourself in a mirror!" Power said as she slapped Denji's back with some force, while he remained completely incredulous.
Denji barely reacted to the slaps. His gaze remained fixed on Isagi, as if he was still trying to understand how the hell this had ended up happening. To him, this news was much harder to process than any demon he had ever faced.
"Isagi, Power, you two have patrol duty together today. Do you think you could leave? I'd like to talk about a few things with Denji." Makima said as she turned around to return to the seat behind her desk.
"Ah, okay. Goodbye Master." Isagi offered no objection. If Makima had made such a statement, there had to be a reason. Besides, he didn't really feel like staying in the middle of that conversation either.
So he left the office alongside a dragging Power, who continued laughing at the stunned Denji because the woman he liked was already someone else's.
