Chapter 5 - chapter 5The Catalyst of Revenge

When Laboni opened her eyes, the white ceiling of the hospital swayed before her. Though her body felt immensely heavy, a strange sharpness had returned to her mind. She was not just a prisoner; she was a brilliantly gifted doctor—and that truth was now her only weapon.

Laboni's Fury

She slowly pulled the oxygen mask from her face. The doctor sitting beside her jumped up in surprise.

"Laboni! You're awake? Do not move, your condition is very poor," the doctor said with concern.

Laboni looked at him. There were no tears in her eyes, nor any fear. She reached out and gripped the collar of the doctor's apron tightly. Her voice was not trembling with terror; it was bone-chillingly calm.

"Doctor, is Henry gone?" she whispered.

The doctor nodded. "Yes, he just left. He is very suspicious of you. What was it, Laboni? What was in that ampule?"

A Terrifying Plot

Laboni tried to sit up. Her bones felt like they were cracking, but she didn't care. She looked at the doctor with a mysterious smile.

"Henry thought it was poison—something I kept to end my own life. But he doesn't know that it wasn't poison. It was a catalyst."

The doctor was puzzled. "What do you mean?"

Laboni explained, "Henry has chronic asthma. While I was near him, I ensured that the vapors from that ampule entered his system. It has begun to constrict his pulmonary alveoli in a way that no ordinary inhaler can fix. Within the next few hours, his respiratory distress will reach a point where he turns blue."

Laboni gripped the doctor's hand harder. "Now listen. When he comes crawling here like a dog in a few moments to beg for his life, only I will be able to save him. And the price for that life will be—my brother's freedom."

A New Resolve

At that moment, the sound of Rehan's crying reached Laboni's ears from a distant part of the prison. Laboni bit her lip until it bled. She knew time was short. When Henry began to writhe in agony, she would have to carve her path out of this hell.

She looked at the doctor and said, "Tell me, will you help me? Remember, if Henry lives, you won't survive either. He will kill you to erase the evidence. Join hands with me, and we will both be free from this monster."

The doctor remained silent for a while, looking into Laboni's eyes. Seeing the stubbornness of an undefeated warrior, he whispered, "Tell me, what do I have to do?"

The Blueprints of Retribution

As Laboni began to speak, the doctor shivered at the tone of her voice. There was no mercy in it, only the cold, calculated revenge of a fearless physician.

"Doctor, Henry thinks he is powerful, that he has destroyed me. But he doesn't know he handed me the tools for his own demise. When he slammed me onto the bed, during his heavy breathing, I broke an ampule of concentrated allergens and Neostigmine mixed together right under his nose."

The doctor's eyes widened. Laboni continued:

"Henry already had asthma. What I've done will slowly paralyze his airway over the next two hours. His inhaler will be useless. He will feel as if a mountain is crushing his chest. He will pull at the inhaler, but no air will enter. He will think he is dying."

Laboni struggled to get off the bed and said, "Do you understand? In about 15 to 20 minutes, Henry will return. This time, he won't come as an officer; he will come as a dying patient. And in this hospital, no one but me has the knowledge to save him."

She grabbed the doctor's hand. "Listen, when he arrives, tell him his condition is critical and that only I am qualified to administer the injection. I will put him in a state where he cannot speak, but he can hear everything. In that moment, we will extract his personal phone password and the master key to the cells."

A fire burned in Laboni's eyes. She gave a strange smile. "He thought he would keep me under his feet. But now, he will beg for my mercy for every single breath. I will take Rehan out of this hell, and I will teach Henry a lesson he won't forget even in the afterlife."

The doctor surrendered to Laboni's indomitable courage and scientific brilliance. He looked outside and saw a commotion starting near Henry's office. The 'poison' Laboni had administered had begun its work.

The Tables Turned

When Laboni stumbled toward Henry's office, the corridor was in chaos. The powerful officer who ruled the prison was now screaming for his life.

Henry's Miserable State

Henry was sprawled on the floor, his shirt soaked in sweat. He was clawing at his throat with both hands as if someone were strangling him. His face had turned blue, and his eyes were bulging. His expensive inhaler lay nearby—he had used it repeatedly, but it provided no relief.

Seeing Laboni at the door, Henry groaned in agony, "Sa... save me... Laboni... I... I can't breathe..."

Cold Revenge

Laboni didn't move an inch. She leaned against the doorframe, watching his struggle with cold eyes. A chilling smile played on her lips, terrifying Henry even more.

She walked slowly and knelt before him. She whispered in his ear:

"What happened, Mr. Henry? You were so bold last night! Didn't you say you were the God of this prison? So why isn't your God granting you a single breath now?"

Henry tried to grab Laboni's hand, but she brushed him off with disgust.

"I wanted to save you last night, but instead, you violated my dignity and bruised my brother's body. Today, your inhaler won't work because I have locked your airway in a way that only I can open."

The Ultimatum

Henry was now banging his head against the floor in pain. He signaled that he was willing to do anything.

Laboni spoke in a hard voice near his face. "Want to live? Then listen—give me the master key to my brother's cell right now. And you must sign a document stating that Rehan is innocent and is being released. If you delay for even a second, your lungs will burst."

Shaking with the fear of death, Henry gestured toward his desk drawer. Laboni quickly grabbed the bunch of keys and the necessary files.

The Escape

Seeing death knocking at his door, Henry's pride turned to dust. He signed a document with trembling hands and pushed the cell keys and a prison gate pass toward Laboni. His eyes no longer held lust, only the desperate plea of a helpless animal.

Laboni snatched the keys and papers. "I won't stabilize you yet," she said coldly. "I am leaving this antidote injection with the doctor. He will give it to you only when my brother and I have crossed the main gate. If any guard tries to stop us before then, you die today."

Releasing Rehan

Laboni ran toward Rehan's cell. The guards in the corridor froze, but when she showed Henry's 'clearance pass,' no one dared stop her.

She opened the lock with trembling hands. Rehan was still on the floor. "Sister! How are you here? Did they let you go?"

Laboni hugged him, sobbing for a moment before composing herself. "No time to cry, Rehan. Get up. We are leaving this hell forever."

As they walked toward the main gate, other prisoners watched in awe as a simple girl led her brother out, having brought the 'God' of the prison to his knees. As they stepped into the first light of dawn, Laboni looked back at the black walls and thought, "Today, I have not only freed my brother; I have conquered my own soul."

The Twist and the Final Stand

Four months had passed. Laboni had returned to her medical practice, and Rehan had started a new life with a wife and a newborn daughter. But peace was short-lived.

One night, Laboni was kidnapped by men in police uniforms—members of Henry's old syndicate who were still at large. They took her to a deserted warehouse. A familiar, sinister voice greeted her: "Welcome, Laboni. It's been a long time." It was Henry's most loyal henchman.

The War Goddess

But Laboni was no longer the helpless girl from four months ago. She stood tall, her jaw set.

"I am not the same Laboni who would shrink away from you," she said sharply. "Fear? What new fear can you show a girl who has already walked through living hell?"

While distracting them with talk, Laboni used a shard of glass on the floor to cut her bonds. When the leader stepped forward with a whip, Laboni didn't retreat. She lunged.

Using her medical knowledge, she struck with precision:

First Strike: She slashed the man's wrist with the glass shard. As he dropped the whip, she delivered a powerful knee to his groin.

The Onslaught: When two others rushed her with clubs, she threw dust in their eyes and grabbed a heavy iron rod. She showed no mercy, striking the very hands that tried to touch her.

The Fury: "You thought I'd be afraid?" she screamed. "These hands know how to save lives, and they know how to kill monsters!"

The Final Victory

Laboni kicked over a drum of oil and threw a torch into it. As flames roared, the thugs fled in terror.

She walked out of the burning warehouse, blood trickling down her forehead, her clothes torn, but her heart full of triumph. Near the road, she met Inspector Aryan, who had just arrived with a backup team.

Aryan stared at her—standing there with an iron rod, looking like a warrior. "Doctor Laboni! We received word..."

Laboni dropped the rod and gave a tired smile. "No need for words, Inspector. I've cleaned up the trash. Just go inside and count the bodies."
