Chapter 85 - Chapter 85: Seth Hart (Part 1)

Solo's target, the Quat Star Hotel, boasted a modern design. The lobby was astonishingly vast, furnished with sleek, custom-made tables, chairs, and sofas. The patrons, all impeccably dressed wealthy individuals, exuded an opulence so overwhelming it bordered on annoyance.

Rosamund's room was 303 on the third floor.

The hotel had security measures in place, but these defenses were easily bypassed by a moderately skilled Force-sensitive.

Solo, an expert in stealth techniques honed over years of practice, suppressed his Force signature. Using a subtle Force disturbance, he diverted the attention of the corridor surveillance and reached the third floor without incident.

Just before Rosamund returned, he caused a brief circuit short-circuit. Seizing the moment the door lock failed, he pushed the door open, swiftly closed it behind him, and locked it from the inside.

The room was even more lavish than he'd imagined. The approximately thirty-square-meter space was meticulously arranged. A large, stylized aquarium lined the wall, housing exotic fish that swam gracefully through the water.

A holographic projector stood in the corner, ready to activate. A panoramic window faced the artificial park in the Kuat orbital ring, where verdant greenery contrasted strikingly with the metallic structures.

At the center stood a spacious double bed, above which hung an abstract painting. Beside it, a desk featured a high-security lock.

Beyond the sliding wall was a luxurious bathroom with a spa tub, far exceeding the standard amenities of ordinary guest rooms.

Solo sat on the edge of the bed on the right side of the sliding door and entered a light meditative state.

His battle with the Sith had yielded significant gains. Not only had the qualitative leap in his Force enhancement been remarkable, but his senses had also become increasingly acute.

The logic of Force growth was simple: facing challenges made one stronger, just as muscle training required gradually increasing resistance. This time, he had directly challenged an opponent far beyond his current level.

To secure future victories, he would need to rely on external assistance or employ cunning tactics. Rosamond was currently his only lead.

Footsteps approached in the corridor. Solo instantly snapped out of his meditation, the Force subtly circulating around him as he prepared for swift action.

The door swung open, revealing a tall, slender woman followed by a female bodyguard.

"Leave me alone," Rosamond's voice commanded.

"Yes, ma'am," the bodyguard replied, retreating and closing the door softly behind her.

Rosamond clapped her hands, and the lights in the room lit up.

The moment the lights came on, Solo moved.

Activating telekinesis, he instantly lifted Rosamond a meter off the ground.

Rosamund let out a muffled scream, but Solo suppressed her voice using a modified Force-based distraction technique.

He carefully laid her down on the green velvet carpet, the hood still obscuring most of her face, revealing only her tense jawline.

"Good evening, Miss Rosamund Atkari."

Still shaken, Rosamund recognized her uninvited guest. Fear gave way to fury as a string of curses erupted from her lips: "Who are you? What do you want? Put me down! The Hutts will catch you! Bantha dung!"

She wore a light-colored dress that accentuated her curves. Her blue eyes widened with anger, her blonde hair was slightly disheveled, and her heaving chest drew attention.

Ignoring her curses, Solo shrugged. "Why make things complicated?"

Before he could finish speaking, Rosamund suddenly pulled a blaster from beneath her dress and fired without hesitation.

Solo, prepared for this, raised his left hand and instantly snatched the weapon from her grasp using telekinesis.

Rosamund's eyes widened in shock, as if watching a magic trick, disbelief written all over her face.

"I don't want your life, nor do I want your money," Solo said, his voice calm as he used telekinesis to float the badge he'd removed from the Sith's clothing before Rosamond. "I only need a name—the one who wears this emblem, wields the Force, and brandishes a lightsaber. He's your company's CEO, isn't he? Tell me his name and location."

The badge hovered before Rosamond, and the anger on her face was instantly replaced by shock and disbelief.

Seizing the opportunity, Solo subtly exerted pressure through the Force, enunciating each word: "Who is he? Where is he now?"

"You're a Jedi, aren't you?" Rosamond's voice trembled, yet she refused to yield. "He mentioned you before, but I'll never betray my lover, even if it costs me my life!"

Solo tilted his head slightly, his eyes beneath the hood growing colder. "You're too naive, unaware of the kind of monster you're protecting. I've encountered many fallen Force-sensitives, but the Dark Side's aura emanating from him is far more vile and terrifying than any I've ever encountered. You should be grateful you're not Force-sensitive, unable to perceive that nauseating malevolence."

He watched Rosamond's back as she rushed toward the door, then used telekinesis to trip her mid-stride, sending her crashing to the carpet.

"Just smudged your makeup. Seems this new look isn't quite right for you." Solo chuckled softly as he approached, using the Force to pin her to the floor, immobilizing her. "I tried to communicate properly, but you wouldn't cooperate. I won't kill you, nor will I torture you, but I must get answers."

Solo retrieved a syringe filled with a clear liquid from his small pouch.

"This is a mild psychoactive drug. In small doses, it's a pain reliever you can buy at any pharmacy." Noticing the fear rising in Rosamond's eyes, he continued, "You're not Force-sensitive, so you can't resist its effects. After the injection, you'll become obedient and talkative. I'll extract the information I need, then use the Force to erase your memory of this sedated state. There will be no long-term effects on your life, nor any damage to your mind. This is the most humane method I can think of."

"Even if you stab me full of holes with spices and your death stick, I won't tell you!" Rosamond roared, her fury uncontrollable.

"I won't use those things," Solo said, shaking his head. Using telekinesis, he immobilized her arm, and a syringe precisely pierced her vein, injecting the drug. "The drug will take effect in five minutes."

Rosamond's struggles gradually weakened, the anger and fear in her eyes slowly replaced by a dazed, intoxicated expression. Clearly, she had never encountered this type of drug before, and her reaction was particularly intense.

He once again suspended the badge before her eyes, using the Force to guide her focus, and repeated his question: "Who wears this emblem? What is his name? How can I find him?"

The woman suddenly laughed, her laughter tinged with foolishness: "M-Master... my beloved... Master..."

Solo intensified the Force's influence, his voice carrying an undeniable pressure: "His name! Tell me his name!"

"Set..."

Rosamond stared blankly ahead.

"Set... Hart!"
