It was the next morning, Monday, July 22 and Ruka woke up to her alarm tone on her phone blaring. It may have been summer vacation, but she still didn't want to sleep in too late. So she had an alarm set to wake her up. Of course it was set later than it would be if she had class today. She stretched and yawned before getting ready for the day. Right as she finished getting ready, she heard a knock at her door. Ruka answered the door to see All Might standing there in his true form. He saw no need to hide it since she already knew about his secret. She had figured it out on her own, then Izuku filled her in on the rest. He then told All Might about it.
"Hey All Might. What exactly are you doing here at my dorm." Ruka asked All Might who handed her an envelope.
"I wanted to invite you to the I-Expo on I-Island as one of my personal guests. Of course I invited Young Midoriya as well. And if you're wondering, I already got the principal's permission for this. You don't even have to wear the quirk canceling cuffs once we're there. Inside the envelope is your plane ticket and I-Expo VIP pass." All Might said as Ruka just stood there surprised.
"Really? That's really nice of you All Might, thanks." Ruka said as All Might smiled.
"You'll have to thank Young Midoriya. He's the one who insisted on you coming after I invited him." All Might said as Ruka smiled and looked down at the envelope in her hands.
'That boy can't seem to live without me, huh?' Ruka thought to herself.
"When you pack, be sure to bring your hero costume and a formal outfit. Talk to Mr. Aizawa to give you your hero costume. The plane leaves on Wednesday, July 24 at 11:00 AM." All Might said as he began to turn around to leave.
"Thanks so much All Might. I really appreciate it." Ruka said as All Might waved goodbye to her and headed out. She closed the door and practically squealed since she was going to go to the famous I-Island for the biggest quirk and hero support item exhibition in the world. Even though she was an assassin of the Underworld for most of her life, she was always up to date on the current events at the time. Ruka started packing everything except for last minute items into her suitcase. As she packed, she realized she didn't have any formal outfits. She got out her phone and pulled up her contacts. She found Izuku's number and called it. Within one ring, he answered it.
"Hey Ruka! What's up?" Izuku said, sounding super cheerful through the phone.
"Wow, that was quick." Ruka laughed as she heard Izuku chuckle.
"What can I say? I'm always excited and happy to talk to you, Ruka." Izuku said which made Ruka blush slightly.
"So what's up?" Izuku followed up.
"I have a favor to ask of you. Could you take me shopping? I need to find a formal outfit for the I-Expo trip. There's no need for you to pay for it. I've got money." Ruka explained.
"Of course I will! I'll be right over." Izuku said immediately without missing a beat.
"Thank you so much, Izuku. You're the best!" Ruka said as she made a kiss sound so that Izuku could hear it. She couldn't see him, but he was blushing on the other end of the line.
"No problem. See you soon!" Izuku said then hung up. Ruka contacted Mr. Aizawa next to get her hero costume from him. Fortunately, he was on campus for something so it didn't take long for him to get it to her.
~Time Skip~
There was a knock at Ruka's door. Izuku was here. She opened the door and greeted him. He then put the quirk canceling cuffs on her wrists and they headed out together to the mall. They went to a dress shop and she picked out a few dresses to try on. Izuku waited outside the dressing room as she changed.
"Can I see how they look on you?" Izuku said from outside her dressing room. Ruka poked her head out of the curtain.
"Nope." Ruka said as she disappeared back behind the curtain.
"Why not?" Izuku asked.
"Because I want it to be a surprise. In fact, I want you to stay here and close your eyes when I go up the checkout counter to purchase the dress." Ruka said, poking her head out again while giving Izuku a teasing smirk. He let out a disappointed sigh.
"Okay fine." Izuku said, agreeing reluctantly. Ruka finished changing back into her clothes and left the dressing room with all the dresses in her arms.
"Alright now close your eyes and don't move until I get you." Ruka said as Izuku nodded and closed his eyes. She put the dresses she didn't want on the rack right outside the dressing room area. Then she went to the checkout counter and purchased the dress she wanted. With the dress carefully bagged up, she went back to the dressing room area and grabbed Izuku's hand.
"Okay you can open your eyes now." Ruka said as Izuku opened his eyes. She started dragging him away before he even had a chance to look at the rack of unwanted dresses to figure out which dress she chose. As they walked through the mall towards the exit, Izuku wondered how Ruka was able to afford a dress. All the dresses in the store were quite pricey. He was getting super curious, so he asked her about it.
"Hey Ruka? Do you mind me asking how you were able to afford one of those dresses? They were all pretty expensive." Izuku asked Ruka.
"I was an assassin, remember? Assassins make quite a lot of money from their assignments. And considering I was the third best assassin of the Shadow Organization, my funds are quite plentiful." Ruka said.
"Oh, I see. So you're rich then." Izuku said as Ruka gave him a playful smile.
"You could say that." Ruka said then paused.
"Okay if you're really that curious, I have between 91 and 92 million yen, closer to 92 million." Ruka answered, pulling up her bank account up on her phone, scrolling down slightly so that the account number was out of sight before showing Izuku. His eyes practically popped out of his eye sockets when he saw the number which read ￥91,842,300.
"Since the Shadow Organization provided everything for me, I never had to spend a dime. So I was able to save every penny that I earned. I made ￥22,960,650 a year and I had been in service for 4 years before I was caught." Ruka said as Izuku remained speechless for a bit.
"Maybe you should start paying for our dates then." Izuku said teasingly.
"Alright then." Ruka said with a laugh. But she was actually serious. The two of them then left the mall and got on the train to go back to U.A. High. As as soon as they were on school grounds, Izuku took off her cuffs and they headed back to her dorm room where they hung out for a bit before he headed home for the day.
~Time Skip~
It was Wednesday, July 24 and Ruka, Izuku, and All Might were on a private jet flying to I-Island. Izuku and All Might were seated next to each other and Ruka's seat was across from Izuku's seat, facing him. There was a small table between their seats. All Might was taking a nap until Izuku woke him up so that he could see the artificial floating island from the sky with him. Ruka looked out her window and saw the huge circular floating island. Izuku and Ruka were really excited that they were able to start their summer vacation there.
"I didn't realize that you guys would be this excited. I'm glad I invited you two." All Might said as Izuku asked him if it was really okay for them to tag along. All Might explained that he could invite anyone he wanted.
"But doesn't that usually mean a family member or-?" Izuku started to say but was cut off my All Might.
"I think you're forgetting that the two of us are connected by something far thicker than blood, Young Midoriya. We will forever share the bond of One For All. And Young Ryuutou figured out our connection. Plus she's your girlfriend. It'd be a little rude of me to rip you away from her for a few days. Especially since she can't leave campus without you." All Might explained.
"Right." Izuku said as the pilot announced that they were about to land. All Might stood up and transformed into his muscle form. He explained that he would have to maintain that form when he was in public. Then he told Izuku and Ruka to change into their hero costumes. The two of them took turns in the bathroom to change. Their plane soon landed and after they disembarked, they were scanned for their identities. All Might tested Izuku on his knowledge of the island to which he gave a very detailed answer. Once the scan was complete, they were allowed onto the island. Izuku and Ruka gawked at the scenery. They were greeted by a woman who recognized All Might which gained the attention of everyone nearby. Soon they were surrounded by a huge crowd of people. After the crowd left, All Might said they might be late to which Izuku asked what they were going to be late to. All Might told them that he was going to stop by to see an old friend of his and asked if Izuku and Ruka wanted to tag along to which they both agreed. He then told them that he hadn't told his friend about passing One For All to Izuku and told them to keep it a secret. Izuku was surprised by this.
"Oh, not even your close friend knows?" Izuku asked. All Might reminded him that danger tended to find anyone who knew the truth about his power.
"Oh yeah, I see. For their safety of course." Izuku said as he started to space out, lost in his thoughts. Then a girl approached them, bouncing on a futuristic pogo stick and jumped into All Might's arms. They started talking away, making Izuku and Ruka feel like extras. Eventually, All Might introduced them.
"Oh, right Young Midoriya, Young Ryuutou. Allow me to introduce you to my friend Dave's daughter." All Might said.
"It's really nice to meet you. I'm Melissa Shield." Melissa introduced herself to Ruka and Izuku, holding out her hand to them.
"Hi it's really nice to meet you. I'm a first year student at U.A. High School, Izuku Midoriya." Izuku said as he shook Melissa's hand.
"It's nice to meet you too. My name is Ruka Ryuutou. I'm a first year student at U.A. too. I'm in the same class as Izuku." Ruka said as she shook Melissa's hand next.
"In the hero course? So that's how you two know Uncle Might." Melissa said, connecting the dots in her head.
"Uh huh. We're his students." Izuku said for him and Ruka.
"They'll be great pros one day." All Might told Melissa.
"I can't believe I'm meeting students that Uncle Might teaches. You guys must have a promising future." Melissa said, leaning in closer to Izuku.
"Well, I hope so but I have a lot to learn. Tons of training." Izuku said as Melissa started examining Izuku's and Ruka's hero costumes and commenting on what she observed. Izuku started getting flustered when she got in close proximity to him. This told Ruka that he must not have had much contact with girls in his past. But she wasn't jealous since Melissa wasn't making any moves on him. All Might cleared his throat to get Melissa's attention so they could go see his friend. Melissa then lead them to her dad's lab. When they got there, All Might gave his friend a hug. Then he introduced him to Izuku and Ruka.
"Young Midoriya, Young Ryuutou, let me introduce you to someone incredible: David Shield." All Might said as Izuku started to fanboy, spewing all the facts he knew about the guy. Melissa chuckled at Izuku geeking out.
"It seems I don't even have to introduce myself." David said as Izuku then apologized out of embarrassment. He told him he didn't need to apologize. All Might then let out a couple coughs and David asked for some time alone with All Might to catch up. Melissa then lead Ruka and Izuku out of the lab so she could show them around the expo.
"So what do you want me to call you guys? By your real names or do you have hero names?" Melissa asked Izuku and Ruka.
"Well actually... Why don't you call me Deku." Izuku said.
"Deku? That's kind of a strange nickname. You can stick with Melissa for me. And what about you?" Melissa said as Ruka thought for a minute.
"Well I used to be known as the Blue Dragon Assassin, but I'm trying to bury that name in the past. My hero name is Dragoness, but you can just call me Ryuutou or even Ruka if you want." Ruka said as Melissa looked at her seeming shocked.
"Wait you're the Blue Dragon Assassin?! How'd you get into U.A. High?" Melissa asked.
"Well it's kind of a long story, but the short version is that I was caught and now I'm attending U.A. for rehabilitation." Ruka said as Melissa seemed genuinely curious about her.
"Really? I kinda want to hear the full story now." Melissa said as Ruka then told her all about how she ended up at U.A. starting with when she set out to complete an assassination assignment set up by the heroes to catch her. Melissa listened to her story, her eyes shining with fascination. After that, she took them around the city then to the pavilion where she showed them several hero support items. The three of them started talking about their aspirations until they were interrupted by Uraraka.
"Looks like you're having fun Deku." Uraraka said, seeming a bit jealous that he was talking to two girls: Ruka and Melissa.
"Uraraka?! What are you doing here?" Izuku said in a surprised manner.
"It looks like you're having fun." Uraraka said, not hiding her jealousy very well.
"You said that." Izuku said, completely oblivious to her feelings. Then Yaoyorozu cleared her throat with Jirou by her side.
"You appear to be having a good time." Yaoyorozu said.
"Midoriya, I heard everything." Jirou said. Melissa asked if the girls were their friends.
"Yeah, these are our classmates. And I didn't tell them Ruka and I would be here." Izuku explained, turning to Melissa.
"Oh guys, this is my friend Melissa. She was just showing me and Ruka around the expo a little bit." Izuku said as Ruka nodded in confirmation.
"Nice to meet you. My dad and Uncle Might are really good-" Melissa started to say but was cut off by Izuku who took her aside and told her not to tell them he and Ruka were All Might's guests. When they were done whispering, Melissa turned to their classmates.
"How about we all grab some tea at the cafe?" Melissa suggested as they all headed to the cafe together. Their classmates sat with Melissa and talked while Izuku and Ruka sat together at a different table next to theirs. Kaminari then brought Izuku his tea, accompanied by Mineta. They explained that the cafe needed extra wait staff so they would get a free trip to the island if they worked there, plus they could explore the expo on their breaks. Then they noticed Melissa and immediately "fell in love" with her. They asked Izuku to introduce them to her and she asked Izuku if they were also classmates. Kaminari and Mineta answered for him and told her they were. Iida then came racing at the two, scolding them about slacking off on their work. After reprimanding them, Iida explained that coming from a long line of heroes, it was normal for his whole family to receive invitations to the expo but his family was busy so it was just him that was attending. Just then there was a loud crash noise in the distance. Everyone but Kaminari and Mineta went to go check it out. They arrived at a villain course where they saw Kirishima. He had cleared the course in 33 seconds, taking 8th place. The announcer girl then announced the next challenger who happened to be Bakugo. He took off explosively and flew around the villain course, destroying the villain robots one after the other with his explosions, getting 15 seconds and taking 1st place. Kirishima then noticed Izuku in the stands and mentioned him. Bakugo flew right up to the railing and yelled in Izuku's face.
"Damn it! What are you doing here Deku?!" Bakugo yelled at Izuku who told him to calm down. Bakugo yelled at him telling him not to tell him what to do. Iida ran protectively in front of Izuku who was cowering and told Bakugo to behave himself. Yaoyorozu asked Kirishima if they both got invited to which he explained Bakugo got invited because he got 1st place in the U.A. Sports Festival and he just tagged along with him. Then he asked his classmates if they were going to try out the villain course.
"Don't even try it. There's no way you'll get a better score than I did." Bakugo said to Izuku.
"Yeah, you're probably right." Izuku said meekly.
"Huh, I'm not so sure. Only one way to fine out, I guess." Uraraka said with her hand cupping her chin.
"Yeah, you're probably right. Huh?!" Izuku said as he realized what he just agreed to.
"Tch. Just hurry and get your pathetic attempt over with you damn nerd! Then you get outta here!" Bakugo yelled in Izuku's face. And with that he challenged the villain course. Izuku got ready, One For All visibly coursing through his veins in red lines before manifesting as teal lightning sparking around his body. Then he took off and used 5% of his power against the robots to avoid self injury. He cleared the course in 16 seconds taking 2nd place. Uraraka and Iida complimented Izuku who was surprised he was able to get so close to Bakugo's score. Bakugo got mad and said he'd go again and blast his score to hell. Just then Todoroki took 1st place from Bakugo, getting 14 seconds. Ruka wanted in now. She jumped down to the course to challenge it. When the announcer girl gave the signal, Ruka transformed into a huge blue dragon and released a massive plume of flames from her mouth which completely engulfed the course and destroyed all the villain bots in one go. Everyone who was watching was speechless.
"Amazing! That was insane! She took 1st place with only 5 seconds!" The announcer girl said into the microphone as the crowd cheered. Ruka, still in her dragon form, turned and looked at Bakugo with her crimson red eyes and smirked, blowing smoke out of her nostrils.
"Yeah umm, you're not gonna beat that." Ruka said to Bakugo with a toothy grin. Bakugo didn't even protest. He just stormed off, mad as hell. She transformed back into her base human form and walked back to the stands where Izuku and the rest of his classmates were. They all praised Ruka on her villain course score. Melissa was especially impressed.
"Wow you did amazing! So your quirk allows you to turn into a dragon?" Melissa said to Ruka who shook her head.
"That's not not all my quirk does. It's called Dragon Soul. I have a dragon spirit that resides within me. In addition to giving me the ability to transform fully or partially into a dragon, I can also call upon it to grant me enhanced physical abilities or have it manifest as a giant spectral dragon and attack foes." Ruka explained as Melissa's eyes lit up in fascination.
"That's so cool! Wow Ruka, your quirk is incredible!" Melissa said with enthusiasm.
"Thanks." Ruka said.
~Time Skip~
The group then went back to the cafe to find Kaminari and Mineta because Melissa wanted to give them tickets to the expo reception. They were super grateful for the tickets. Iida then explained the plan to change into their formal clothes and meet up at 7:00 PM in Lobby 7 of the Central Tower. Izuku and Ruka said goodbye to their classmates and started to head towards their hotel room to get ready for the party. But before they could leave, Melissa asked Izuku if she could show him something first.
"You can go ahead. I'll meet up with you and everyone else later, okay Ruka?" Izuku said as he went to go follow Melissa. Ruka headed to the hotel room on her own to get ready for the party. It was probably best this way since they shared a hotel room.
~Time Skip~
Izuku arrived a little late to the meeting spot set up by Iida, but he wasn't the only one who was late. Ruka and the other girls, Bakugo and Kirishima were also late. Next arrived Uraraka, then Yaoyorozu and Jirou, then Melissa and finally Ruka. Izuku stared at Ruka as she came out of the elevator and joined them. She was absolutely stunning. She wore a deep violet sleeveless evening dress that hugged her figure before flowing into an asymmetrical skirt that was parted high on her left hip and flowed down her right leg, stopping halfway between her knee and ankle. It featured a deep V-shaped neckline framed with light lavender ruffled trim that continued down the front and along the bottom hem of the dress. Her azure blue hair was done in a pony tail slightly off to the left side with two locks of hair flowing freely on each side of her face. A light lavender ribbon that matched the ruffles on her dress kept the pony tail in place. Kaminari and Mineta gawked at her. Izuku didn't exactly like Kaminari and Mineta looking at his girlfriend that way. Ruka approached Izuku and twirled around in her dress.
"So, what do you think?" Ruka asked Izuku who gulped.
"You look absolutely stunning in that dress Ruka. It fits you perfectly." Izuku said, his blush becoming even more apparent. Uraraka started to get jealous again. Then she noticed it: a purple mark at the base of her neck on the right side.
"Is that a hickey?" Uraraka said, approaching Ruka while pointing to the spot on her neck. Ruka and Izuku went red in the face immediately, both saying nothing to defend themselves. Suddenly, the security system went on high alert because explosives were apparently found. Melissa found it strange because these weren't the normal protocols when explosives are found. Izuku suggested they go to the party because All Might was there. When they got there, the pro heroes at the party were restrained and the guests were held hostage by guys with guns who were stationed throughout the reception hall. Izuku had Jirou use her earphone jack so that All Might could talk to them from down below. He told them the situation and that they should try to get out of there. Melissa, Izuku, Ruka, and their classmates hid in the stairwell and discussed what to do. In the end they decided to try and save everyone. They climbed the stairs towards the 200th floor where the security room was. But at the 80th floor, there was a barrier blocking the rest of the stairs. As they were figuring what their next move was, Mineta opened a door which alerted the villains of their presence. They had no choice though so they went through to find a different staircase. But the barriers behind and in front of them started closing. Todoroki used his ice to block the last barrier in front of them from closing. Iida went through and destroyed a door, giving them an opening to pass through. But as they were making their way through, Jirou noticed the elevator was going up towards their floor. They all quickly hid behind the foliage in the plant factory. The elevator stopped on their floor and two villains got off. One of them tall and lanky, the other one short and fat. They all held their breaths as the villains walked through. Just then, one of the villain spoke.
"Hey we see you stupid kids." One of the villains said.
"What'd you say you bastard?" Bakugo said as the group realized he and Kirishima were there. The villains asked what they were doing there to which Kirishima responded saying that they got a little lost while looking for the party. The taller villain thought he was lying and his hands became larger and webbed and he used them to send an attack at Kirishima. But right before the attack hit him, Todoroki blocked it with his ice. As the villains started to break through the ice, Todoroki sent Ruka, Izuku, Melissa, Uraraka, Iida, Yaoyorozu, Jirou, Kaminari, and Mineta up to a higher level for them to escape as he, Kirishima, and Bakugo dealt with the two villains. When Izuku's group broke through the door on the other side, they realized the barriers were up on both sides too. Then Izuku noticed a vent on the edge of the ceiling and asked Melissa where it lead. She said it was probably to outside the maintenance room. Iida said there was probably an emergency ladder there, but Melissa said it was a manual release and that someone would have to be inside to let it down.
"Is this really as far as we go?" Uraraka asked. But Yaoyorozu thought for a second then said there still might be a way and made a sticky bomb that blew open the vent. She explained if someone could go through the vent and climb the outer wall, the could find another vent that would lead right into the maintenance room and let the emergency ladder down. Mineta was clearly the one for the job but he was too scared to do it until Kaminari convinced him that saving everyone would make him popular with the girls. He reluctantly agreed to do it. Once he was in the maintenance room, he let down the ladder which everyone climbed up into another floor of the building. They eventually reached the 130th floor. There were a lot of robot sentries patrolling the floor. Yaoyorozu made an insulated blanket so that Kaminari could try shocking the robots to overload their circuits. But it didn't work and the robots tied up Kaminari who was in stupid mode now. Iida and Izuku were up next. Izuku armed his right arm with full gauntlet to use 30% of his power to blow away the robot sentries and free Kaminari whom Iida caught. Mineta threw the sticky balls on his head to trap the robots but the rest of them just jumped over the ones that were stuck. Ruka partially transformed herself into a dragon, her arms and legs becoming dragon-like. She also used the dragon spirit to grant her increased strength and speed and attacked the robots, kicking and punching them. Jirou informed them that more robot sentries were coming in from the left so they headed right. As they ran Uraraka noticed Izuku's full gauntlet.
"Deku what's with that glove? It's amazing!" Uraraka said as Izuku turned his head towards Melissa and thanked her saying it worked perfectly.
"I'm so glad you brought it." Melissa said as Izuku got a sheepish grin on his face, admitting that he couldn't figure out how to take it off. Melissa giggled at his response. Shortly after that, they made it to the 138th floor where the servers were. Suddenly, the doors before them opened and more robot sentries flowed in. Melissa told them they shouldn't damage the servers because it might affect the island's security system. Iida, Yaoyorozu, Jirou, and Mineta stayed behind to handle the robots. Kaminari stayed with them. Melissa, Ruka, Izuku, and Uraraka went to go find another route to the 200th floor. Melissa led them to the wind power generator to avoid the robots in the tower. She said there was an emergency exit way up high that they could enter through.
"I could use my partial transformation and manifest my dragon wings to fly Melissa up there." Ruka suggested.
"I should go as well just in case there are more robots or villains. Besides, I could never forgive myself if one of you got hurt because I wasn't there to protect you." Izuku said.
"I can only carry one person at a time though." Ruka said as Uraraka came up with a solution.
"I can make both Deku and Melissa weightless with my quirk so that you could carry them both at once." Uraraka suggested.
"But what about you?" Ruka asked Uraraka.
"Adding me to the mix would put more strain on my quirk. Plus I might need to use it more later on." Uraraka said as Ruka nodded in understanding.
"Okay. Ready when you are." Ruka said as she sprouted her dragon wings from her shoulder blades. She wrapped one arm around Melissa's waist and the other around Izuku's waist which made him blush slightly. Uraraka used her quirk on Melissa and Izuku then Ruka flapped her wings and lifted off the ground with them. Just then, robot sentries started flooding in towards Uraraka from the tower. Melissa yelled at Uraraka to release her quirk and get out of there, but Ruka reminded her that if she did that, they would all fall because then they'd be to heavy for her to carry.
"Oh! Couldn't you turn into your full body dragon form? Then you would be strong enough to carry us." Izuku asked Ruka who turned to him and gave him a frown.
"I could but that would rip my dress up. Do you want me to be naked when I transform back?" Ruka said.
"Guess that's not an option then." Izuku chuckled with a sheepish grin on his face. Just as the robots were about to reach Uraraka, Bakugo blasted them with an explosion. Todoroki froze a bunch of them. Kirishima was close behind them. They were almost to their destination when a really strong gust of wind blew them off course. Even Ruka couldn't navigate it with her wings. Bakugo used his explosion to aim a propeller at them and Todoroki used his flames to create a strong and warm gust of air to direct them back on course. It worked... a little too well. Now they were flying quickly towards the wall. Ruka wasn't able to control where they were going with how strong the airflow was. Izuku used his quirk to blast their way through the wall before they crashed into it. Once they got inside in the tower, Uraraka released her quirk. Izuku and Melissa immediately became much heavier and Ruka did her best to soften the landing by flapping her wings frantically. They still ended up kind of crash landing but it would've been worse if she didn't use her wings.
"Are you guys okay?" Ruka asked as she helped Melissa and Izuku to their feet. They said they were fine. Suddenly, Izuku grabbed Melissa and rolled out of the way and Ruka dodged as a villain attacked. Izuku blocked the villain's bladed arm with his full gauntlet. But then the villain made his other arm a blade with his quirk and attempted to strike Izuku, but he dodged. The villain struck again, hitting Izuku's arm which was protected by the full gauntlet. But the impact sent Izuku out of the hole in the wall of the tower. He managed to grab onto the edge so that he didn't fall, but the villain was about to attack him again. Melissa grabbed onto one of the villain's arms and Ruka grabbed onto the other one. The villain easily tossed Melissa aside like nothing, his blade grazing her arm. But he wasn't able to shake Ruka off that easily since she had enhanced her strength with the power of the dragon spirit. She had also transformed her arms into dragon limbs. He tried to strike her with his bladed arm to make her let go of him completely. But she only let go with one hand to block his blade with her arm which was protected by her dragon scales. The other hand was still firmly gripping his arm.
"You will NOT harm my boyfriend and you'll pay for hurting Melissa!" Ruka said as she dug her claws into his arm, drawing blood and making him scream in pain. She briefly looked in the direction Izuku fell and saw that he had climbed back up. She then let go of the villain. He then started getting cocky, but that didn't last for long.
"Little girls-" He started to say with a scoff but was cut off by Izuku punching him in the face, sending him flying into the stairs which knocked him out cold. Izuku then tended to Melissa's wound, apologizing that he couldn't protect her.
"I think you mean thank you." Melissa said as she looked at him then Ruka who nodded. They did stop the villain from knocking him off the tower after all. The three of them continued up the stairs. Izuku quickly took care of the villains wielding guns. Finally, they reached the 200th floor. He asked where the control room was located and Melissa said it was in front of the central elevator. As they were moving around stealthily, they noticed David Shield in a large room. Melissa asked what he was doing on the top floor. Izuku mentioned the villains probably brought him there because they might need him for something. She said they had to help him to which Izuku and Ruka agreed. They snuck into the room where David was. Sam was there too. Melissa, Ruka, and Izuku overheard everything they said about their plan for this heist. Melissa couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"Papa... What does he mean that it's like you planned it? Don't tell me that... you're the one behind this. This was all you? Just to steal something? No... It can't be true!" Melissa said, about to burst into tears. David lowered his head.
"Yes it is." David confessed.
"Papa... How could you?!" Melissa said as Sam explained that David was only trying to get back his research that was stolen from him: an invention that could amplify someone's quirk with no negative repercussions to the body or brain. He further explained the plan they devised to get the device back. Melissa still didn't understand why her father would do such a thing. She mentioned that the father that she knew would never stoop to this level. David said he had to do this for All Might because his quirk was disappearing. He didn't know the real reason why All Might's power was fading, that he had passed on One For All to Izuku. Both Izuku and Ruka kept their mouths shut, but they were tempted to say something. Melissa started to get upset, she took off her makeshift bandage and showed her father the cut she received from a villain. She yelled at him, saying how Izuku, Ruka and their classmates fought to save everyone on the island.
"No, what do you mean? The villains are fake. It's all supposed to be an act." David said, looking to his assistant Sam. Just then the villain boss Wolfram showed up.
"Of course it was a performance. But the real act was pretending we weren't criminals." Wolfram said as Izuku got ready to attack him, but he put his hand to the metal wall and manipulated a railing to trap him against the wall. Both Ruka and Melissa ran towards Izuku, worried about him. Ruka used her Dragon Soul quirk to enhance her strength to try and pry the metal off of Izuku. But it was coiled around him tight.
"You'd be smart not to resist. Sam hand it over." Wolfram commanded Sam who took the briefcase away from David and brought it over to him. David just stood there in shock that his assistant was planning on handing over his quirk amplifying device all along. Sam said that he and David had been working so hard on this invention and that they could have had fame and fortune, but then he let their sponsors take it away. He wanted to be rewarded otherwise he felt his entire career would be a complete waste of time. Wolfram then aimed his gun at Sam.
"Here's the payment I promised you." Wolfram said as he shot Sam in the left arm, making him fall to the floor and drop the briefcase. Sam asked why he did that, saying it wasn't part of the plan. But Wolfram said it was always part of his plan while aiming his gun at Sam's head. But David jumped in the way when Wolfram pulled the trigger, the bullet going into his shoulder. Melissa ran towards her father, but Wolfram knocked her aside and she slid across the floor. Izuku gestured for Ruka to go over to Melissa with his eyes. She nodded and ran over to see if Melissa was okay. Wolfram stepped on David, going on about how he had dirtied his hands and that he couldn't remain a respected scientist because he had committed an actual crime. He said that he was the practically like them, his life forever tainted by darkness.
"And if you want a future at all, you'll be a good scientist and mass produce this device so I can sell it." Wolfram said as he hit David on the vital point on the side of his neck with his gun, knocking him out. Then he ordered his lackey to go with him to the roof. Melissa then pleaded for Wolfram not to take away her father.
"That reminds me. This'll be much easier if I get rid of the professor's attachments." Wolfram said aiming his gun at Melissa. Ruka jumped in front of Melissa, and partially transformed into a dragon. Her body now covered in dragon scales strong enough to resist bullets.
"Don't you hurt them!" Izuku yelled as he freed himself and sped towards him. This forced him to make a wall of metal between him and Izuku who smashed into it with his fist, creating a crater in it. Izuku then told Melissa he and Ruka had everything under control here and to go the control room and take control of the security system to save everyone else. Wolfram told his partner to not let her escape. Izuku then ran to intervene but was blocked by more metal walls. Ruka sprouted her dragon wings and flew over them as Izuku bounced off the walls. They both landed in front of the villain.
"We won't let you pass us!" Izuku and Ruka said in unison as Melissa escaped.
"Don't make threats you can't live up to, kids!" Wolfram said as he made several metal pillars smash into them, holding them down and trapping them. In the meantime, Melissa got control of the island's security system. The villains then left for the roof where their helicopter was waiting, bringing David and the device with them. Ruka called out the dragon spirit to manifest and break them out of the metal holding them down. Once they were free, she called the spirit back to her to reduce the strain on her quirk. She could use multiple features of her quirk at once but it took a lot more energy. They both went after Wolfram to save David. Izuku and Ruka reached the roof right as Wolfram tossed David and the device into the helicopter.
"I wonder, did you come to bring this man back so he can pay for his crimes?" Wolfram asked Izuku and Ruka.
"Of course not. We're here to rescue David Shield from the likes of you!" Izuku said as he and Ruka charged at Wolfram.
"Even though he's a criminal?" Wolfram said as he put his hand on the floor, sending metal pillar after metal pillar at them. They both dodged his attacks in unison as Izuku declared they were going to save everyone including David.
"It doesn't look like that to me." Wolfram said as he sent even more metal pillars at them.
"Shut up! This is what heroes do! They help people who are in trouble!" Izuku yelled at Wolfram.
"How exactly?" Wolfram said as he aimed his gun at David. Izuku and Ruka realized that if they got any closer, he would shoot him. So they stopped in their tracks. Wolfram then said that being a hero sounded inconvenient. He said he wasn't using much of his power and yet they were helpless as he made a metal pillar hit them backwards. He sent more metal pillars at Izuku and Ruka who both managed to dodge most of them except for the last three which crashed into them from three different angles. Thinking he had them subdued, Wolfram boarded the helicopter and told the pilot to take off. Izuku and Ruka both got up. Ruka summoned the dragon spirit again.
"Izuku, I'm running out of energy for using my quirk this much. I'm not used to using my quirk for this long since my fights have usually been over pretty quickly. Anyways, my dragon spirit is going to fly you up to the helicopter. This will probably drain most of the energy I have left to put into my quirk. Do what you can to bring David back." Ruka said as Izuku nodded. The huge spectral dragon grabbed him and took off towards the helicopter. Izuku grabbed onto the helicopter just as the dragon spirit began to fade. He dangled from the helicopter, telling David to grab onto his hand, buth then Wolfram aimed his gun at him and fired, Izuku raised his right arm to block the bullet with full gauntlet but the impact knocked him off the helicopter and he fell from the sky. Melissa screamed out of horror as Ruka summoned the last of her Dragon Soul energy to sprout her dragon wings and enhance her strength and speed. She flew after Izuku and caught him in her arms. She brought him safely to the ground and set him down.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help, but this is my limit right now." Ruka said as she panted, her dragon wings disappearing.
"It's not your fault Ruka. Thank you for catching me." Izuku said then turned his attention to the helicopter that was flying away.
"Come back! Let him go! Don't take the professor! Damn it!" Izuku said in despair. Suddenly, they heard the familiar voice of All Might.
"Don't you dare lose that smile, alright Young Midoriya?" All Might said as he raced up the side of one of the metal pillars that Wolfram had created and jumped into the air past the helicopter.
"It's fine now. Do you know why? Because I am here! I'll have you return my friend to me, you fiend." All Might said as he then propelled himself at the helicopter and punched it, making it explode while grabbing David in the process. He landed with David in his arms, bringing him back to Melissa. It all seemed to be over until a metal pillar slammed into All Might and captured David. Wolfram had put on the quirk amplifying device that David had invented. All Might was starting to steam, he didn't have much time left. But he got up and coughed a couple times.
"You really don't know when to give up, do you?" All Might said as he took off with explosive speed towards Wolfram.
"Texas Smash!" All Might said as he punched the metal wall that formed in front of him, but it only made a crater in it which surprised him.
"Is that all you got?" Wolfram said as he sent metal pillars at All Might from the wall which sent him backwards. He started tearing apart the whole tower with his now enhanced metal manipulation quirk and building his own twisted metal structure. Melissa got thrown into the air by the chaos but Izuku caught her. He dodged the metal pillars that were sent after him with her in his arms. Ruka used the last of her Dragon Soul energy to enhance her speed and applied her training to dodge the metal pillars that went after her. Wolfram sent more metal pillars at All Might who was struggling to keep them from crushing him.
"Why won't you just die already!" Wolfram said as he sent even more metal pillars at All Might which were frozen in place by Todoroki's ice. Then Bakugo tried blasting Wolfram with his explosions but he blocked them with a wall of metal.
"How can you let yourself get beat by such a lame final boss? Hurry and take him down!" Bakugo yelled at All Might who thanked him for the help. All of Ruka's and Izuku's classmates started helping in anyway they could. This motivated All Might and he was able to get past and break through the metal pillars and get close to Wolfram, but was stopped by metal cables that grabbed onto him. Wolfram then grabbed him by the neck and also his weak spot and squeezed. All Might yelled out in pain. Things started to look grim when Wolfram sent a pillar straight into his chest and then sent two huge masses of scrap metal at him from opposite sides, crashing together with him right in the middle. Then he sent several metal pillars into the metal mass encasing All Might. Izuku then sprung into action and jumped towards the metal mass and used Detroit Smash, freeing All Might from the metal prison. He helped Izuku up to his feet after they landed on the ground. Then the two of them worked together to get at Wolfram to defeat him with the help of Todoroki and Bakugo keeping some of his attacks from reaching them. They were both moving in sync with One For All. Wolfram compiled metal into a huge cube and sent it at Izuku and All Might. They both used Detriot Smash to break through the giant cube of metal.
"Double Detriot Smash!" Both All Might and Izuku shouted as they broke through the metal cube and practically flew towards Wolfram with astounding speed and punched him straight in the gut, knocking him out. The metal structure that Wolfram had built with his enhanced quirk started to fall apart. The metal that was restraining David began to let up, releasing him. The ordeal was finally over. Ruka and Melissa ran over to Izuku to see if he was okay. He was bleeding a little from his forehead and his dress shirt was completely destroyed but other than that, he was okay.
"Deku!" Melissa called out to Izuku.
"Izuku!" Ruka yelled out to her boyfriend.
"Ruka! Melissa!" Izuku said as he got up out of the pile of rubble.
"I'm so glad you're alive." Melissa said.
"Oh Izuku... Thank God you're okay!" Ruka said as she gave him a quick peck on the lips and hugged him tightly. Melissa said everyone on the island was safe thanks to Ruka, Izuku, and their classmates. Izuku said that they all did it together meaning her too, saying that he only managed to get that far because of her full gauntlet which was now completely destroyed. He apologized for breaking it to which Melissa told him not to worry about it. Just then, Ruka's and Izuku's classmates called out to them, asking if they were alright. Izuku said the three of them, All Might, and the professor were fine and Melissa asked about them. They said they were okay as well. The sun started to peak over the horizon, the warmth hitting their faces as it rose. As David talked with All Might, he stared at Melissa, Izuku, and Ruka as he realized that there was still hope, hope in the new generation of heroes.
