They were sitting on a throne. His mother was humming some song happily.
And Rey? He was eating of course; he needs a lot of milk to grow up healthy.
His development speed was already quite abnormal, but the more the merrier.
Rei discovered something pretty interesting about that body of his - it was very adaptive.
In the past 30 minutes he tried to say many words, or at least make complex sounds.

Elves, demons, dragons--as if taken right from the novels he read on Earth.
"I want a- pet drahgon." Rei was already able to speak full sentences, although with a lot of effort.

His older sister, Mei, was very active.
She often plays with him, and sometimes tries to read him a book.
Standard age for children to start reading is about 5 years, so Mei can already be considered a monstrous genius.
Just don't compare her to Rei.
