Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5:THE FIRST TRAINING

After that rooftop encounter, I couldn't stop thinking about the watcher.

Who were they? Why me?

And most importantly—what did they want?

But I had no answers. Only one choice: master this power before it controlled me.

I went home and locked myself in my room.

The sunlight streaming through the window felt ordinary, but everything in me was different.

I could feel the energy pulsing under my skin, like a river trying to break free.

I closed my eyes and focused.

"Calm down," I muttered. "Just… control it."

A faint glow began in my chest.

My hands tingled. My pulse raced.

Memories from the awakening flashed in my mind—symbols, energy flows, a deep sense of potential.

I stretched out my hand.

A small spark appeared, hovering above my palm.

It danced like fireflies, gentle yet alive.

"Yes," I whispered, heart pounding. "I can do this."

I tried moving the spark, making it spin in circles.

It obeyed at first, then shot wildly across the room, smashing my lamp.

"Oops," I muttered, ducking as shards of glass clattered to the floor.

The spark flared brighter, then vanished.

I sank to my knees, breathing hard.

This wasn't going to be easy.

Not even close.

I closed my eyes again, forcing my mind to empty of everything else.

The energy inside me pulsed like a heartbeat.

Slowly… steadily… I began to synchronize with it.

A vision appeared.

A series of glowing symbols floating in midair, almost like a language of power.

I didn't understand it, but somehow, I knew this was the first step.

Hours passed.

By the time I opened my eyes, the room was dark.

My hands were scorched, my muscles tired, but I had done it.

For the first time, I felt control.

A small smile tugged at my lips.

This was only the beginning.

Somewhere outside, beyond the city lights…

the watcher must have seen me.

And now, I was ready.

Ready to face whatever came next.

The silence that followed was heavy, almost unreal.

I stood up slowly, flexing my fingers. The faint burn along my palms throbbed, but beneath the pain was something else—confidence. The energy didn't feel wild anymore. It was still powerful, still dangerous… but it listened.

I took a deep breath and raised my hand again.

This time, I didn't force anything.

I invited it.

A soft glow bloomed, steady and calm, hovering just above my skin. No sparks flying. No destruction. Just control.

I clenched my fist, and the light faded instantly.

A quiet laugh escaped my lips. "So that's how it works…"

I glanced around my room—the broken lamp, the scorched floor, the cracked wall. Proof that this wasn't a dream. Proof that my life had already crossed a line it could never return from.

Suddenly, a chill ran down my spine.

The air felt… watched.

I stepped closer to the window and pulled the curtain aside.

The city stretched endlessly below, lights flickering like distant stars. Everything looked normal. Too normal.

But I knew better now.

Somewhere out there, someone was observing me. Measuring me. Waiting.

"Next time," I said quietly, my reflection staring back at me in the glass, "I won't be helpless."

A shadow shifted across a nearby rooftop.

Gone in a blink.

My heart skipped—but I didn't panic.

Instead, I smiled.

Let them watch.

Because I was no longer just awakening.

I was learning.

And soon, I would be ready.
