Chapter 1 - THE MYSTERY OF A POOR AFRICAN MAN AND LOVE

According to the bible, the man will leave his parents and cleave to his wife and they shall become one flesh. The woman is supposedly "the helper" to the man but in Africa most women are leeches. African women are soliciting for the highest bidder before they can love, the man bear all the financial responsibilities even if the woman has a job. So far as you have money as a man, some african women would ignore your flaws if only you can take care of them; they have coined their own adage "it is better to cry in a Benz than to cry in "troski" ( a name for a local ride).

All these were born out from the Genesis of our upbringing. In the olden days, women were confined to the kitchen and men were on the streets hustling for money to take care of the home. But in this modern and technology advanced era women goes to school, they work and are making an impact in the society, most women are now financially buoyant enough to take care of themselves but even with that most African women are reluctant to help their men financially; why? because they feel it's not their responsibility, they think anything involving money should be directed to the table of men.

African women would choose a rich but morally corrupt man over a well mannered but broke man, aren't they supposed to be "helpers" according to the bible? What has money got to do with love anyway? A woman earning 6 figures would watch her husband struggle to pay utilities, children tuition fee, rent, food and groceries etc. What happens to their money then? well according to most of them the man's money is their money but the woman's money belongs to her alone, what sort of logic is this? How is that fair to the man? What happens to teamwork? Both the man and the woman would do the house chores together and also share the financial responsibilities equally.

We're not in the olden generation anymore, things have changed and a struggling African man deservs love too even without money.
