This has to be a nightmare.
A twisted, endless nightmare that will replay until nothing remains and our minds shatter completely.
"I'll see you after work," I manage to say, forcing my voice to stay steady. Fighting the urge to bolt and panic Brent, who looks too fragile to handle the truth right now, I dig my nails into my palm as I walk downstairs. The sharp pain cuts through the haze, leaving me more confused than before. Some demons can invade your dreams, while others drag you into their realm where they can torment you until your mind breaks forever.
