Twelve hours had passed since Savannah vanished.
They tell you that when you encounter a rabid animal, running is futile. The beast will pursue you with savage determination, and the inevitable attack will come regardless of your efforts.
The wise approach involves grabbing your loved ones and positioning something substantial between yourself and the threat - whether a weapon, a vehicle, or a spouse.
That was precisely Sarah's strategy. She wailed to her husband Allen, claiming I had made unwanted advances toward her, and when she politely rejected me, I supposedly threatened both her and her children.
Despite multiple witnesses confirming she had hurled wine at Savannah, she maintained her innocence regarding any substances mixed within the liquid, insisting the entire incident was accidental.
Watching their children torn from their mother's arms and abandoned with their philandering father stirred little sympathy in me. The situation demanded such measures.
