"It's the only logical explanation! Everything started falling apart the moment that mark showed up on his ear, didn't it?"
"Because I filed for divorce."
"Exactly, but listen to me carefully."
"No, Savannah, you're missing the point entirely. You filed for divorce like any smart woman would when she suspects her husband is cheating, but then you turned around and signed that ridiculous contract with him, right?"
"Yes, but I don't see how that—"
"So your marriage technically stayed intact, but rumors spread like wildfire after people saw you at that hotel with another man. That's what gave Dennis the ammunition he needed to make his move."
