Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The Tulip on the Window Ledge

Seeing the situation, Nojuro Ryun decided to change the subject.

He had already stated his position to Ino, but he did not truly want to anger Yamanaka Inoichi.

So Nojuro Ryun spoke up, "Ino, didn't you recommend your family's flowers to me, they should still be available to buy now, right?"

Just as Ryun said, Ino was a thoughtful person.

Regaining her composure, she immediately sensed that Inoichi seemed about to get angry. Quickly changing her attitude, she pulled Ryun towards the direction of the flower shop, saying, "Don't worry, our Yamanaka family flower shop never has to worry about running out of stock."

"Come on, come on, I'll personally help you pick."

"Dad, are you coming too, you can help me with the packaging."

Inoichi looked at the two people whose atmosphere had abruptly changed in astonishment, feeling somewhat hesitant for a moment.

He was completely clueless about things like flower arranging, he could only shake his head and refuse, saying, "You're better at this sort of thing. Remember to lock the shop door properly after selling the flowers."

"Of course, don't worry, Dad."

Ino pulled Ryun along quickly. Only after the two entered the already darkened flower shop did Ino let out a long sigh.

"His expression just now was really scary, aren't you afraid he might hit you?" Ino deliberately said in a low voice in the darkness.

"I should be the one asking you that question," Ryun's tone carried a hint of complaint, "Do you want your uncle to hit me?"

Ino turned on the light, stuck out her tongue, and showed a mischievous smile.

"I also didn't expect you to dare stand on my side right in front of him... your courage is really too big."

Ryun looked around the dazzling array of the Yamanaka family flower shop, gently sniffed the scent in the air, and revealed a satisfied smile.

"After all, Ino, you are my friend. I definitely have to stand on my friend's side."

Ino gave Ryun a thumbs up, saying, "Today I really got to know you, Nojuro-kun."

"Seeing as you support me so much, I've decided to give you a twenty percent discount. What flowers do you like?"

Guided by Ino, Ryun looked over the main products of the Yamanaka family. He already had a plan in mind.

However, he still decided to let Ino use her specialty, saying, "You choose for me. One arrangement for the living room, one for the bedroom."

"Okay, then leave it to me."

Ino took out two vases and began picking and choosing flowers for arrangements.

The large vase used sunflowers as the core, adding some brightly colored small flowers, resembling a sun lamp that could illuminate the living room.

The small vase used lavender and white roses as the core, providing a relaxing fragrance and adding a pure, serene atmosphere to the bedroom.

"How is it, not bad, right?"

Ino smiled proudly, waiting for praise. Ryun naturally wouldn't be stingy with verbal praise, saying, "Perfect, it's the most beautiful flower arrangement I've ever seen."

"Hmph, your words sound nice, but how many flower arrangements have you actually seen!"

Ino said with a hint of tsundere attitude, "Just like what you said earlier, I'm the most thoughtful girl you've ever met or something... have you met many girls?"

"No." Ryun admitted truthfully.

But then he added, "But I think I probably won't meet a girl more thoughtful than you in the future either."

What Ryun said was fact, backed by evidence from three simulation experiences.

Ino originally wanted to dispel the somewhat strange atmosphere between the two, but Ryun's words instead intensified this atmosphere.

She helplessly covered her face with her hands, peeking at Ryun through her fingers, feeling that she might lose sleep tonight.

"Oh, Ino, help me get one more tulip."

"Eh? Okay."

Ino didn't think much of it, assuming Ryun particularly liked tulips, and said generously, "It's a gift."

"Well then, see you tomorrow, Ino."

"See you tomorrow."

Ino answered softly, watching Ryun's back disappear into the shadows, momentarily lost in thought. She only snapped out of it when she heard her mother's call.

"Got it, Mom, I'm closing the shop now!"

Ryun walked steadily all the way, but his gaze kept returning to this tulip.

He didn't buy this tulip for himself.

Since he had learned the chakra control method from Ino here, it also meant he probably had to bid farewell to that person.

But as he walked, Ryun suddenly frowned.

He sensed that someone in the darkness seemed to be following him.

Just as Ryun was considering whether to react, the figure following him from afar had already disappeared.

Ryun let out a slight sigh. Who could it be?

He now had some perception ability, but it was only very basic perception, and he hadn't undergone any strengthening training.

So he had no way at all to perceive exactly who the other party was.

Right now, Ryun had three possibilities in his mind.

First, Yamanaka Inoichi, wanting to see what this wild man who dared to flirt with his daughter was all about.

Second, Danzo, targeting him because his book might greatly boost the Third Hokage's prestige.

Third, were some people outside Ryun's expectations, for example, someone who became interested in him because of the design drawings he gave to Tenten's family.

Regardless of which one, Ryun felt it was time to quickly improve his strength.

After all, he now had a legitimate reason to train openly.

After a while, Ryun returned home.

Although he couldn't see the other party, Ryun could already sense Uzuki Yūgao's presence in the shadows of the backyard.

She was originally supposed to be here to monitor Ryun, but now she made Ryun feel a trace of security.

It must be said, the bonds between people can sometimes be very strange.

Ryun placed the two pots of flowers properly, finally coming to the window, and leaned that tulip against the wooden ledge outside the window.

In the darkness, Ryun's gaze seemed to penetrate the dark, looking towards Yūgao.

He could feel that Yūgao was also looking at him, showing a surprised expression.

The two looked at each other across the distance. For Ryun, this was actually somewhat risky, as it meant he exposed some of his talent.

But all of this was within Ryun's plan.

Next year, the Third Hokage would most likely die in the Konoha Crush Plan. Ryun wanted to take advantage of this stage to try to gain more benefits and influence from the Third Hokage.

Otherwise, after the Third Hokage died, Ryun might end up in a situation like in the previous third simulation, being framed and powerless to resist.

In the past, Ryun didn't dare to take the initiative, because his goal at that time was survival.

Now Ryun had the fallback plan of going to Sunagakure, so naturally he could be bolder and more proactive.

Moreover, he had the simulator... Ryun had long thought that perhaps he could use simulations to achieve the purpose of predicting the future.

His meeting with Ino proved the feasibility of this.

This also meant Ryun had some ability to foresee the future, which further increased his confidence in taking the initiative.

The rest would wait for Yūgao to report this matter to the Third Hokage.

Having sorted all this out, Ryun went to bed.

The next day when he woke up, the tulip on the window ledge had already disappeared.
