Chapter 62 - Chapter 62

The rock music continued to play, but now they were both resting, side by side.

"Aren't you worried?" Zara asked as she watched the news on her cell phone.

"No, not really," Sack replied with his eyes closed as he listened to the music.

Although it wasn't much food, in his private apartment, he had canned goods that could last a month or two. Besides, he believed that if there were a cataclysm, the rules of the world would change drastically, or rather, return to their natural state, "the law of the jungle." It wasn't something he wanted, but the integration with the cards, and the knowledge and experiences gained from them, had shaped his personality a little.

...

The next morning.

At 9 a.m., Zara and Sack came out of the bathroom after having some morning sex.

"Do you want coffee?" Zara asked.

He gladly accepted the offer. While he waited, he watched Zara prepare two breakfasts with fruit and low-calorie whole wheat bread.

"I'll have to fuck you some more in the afternoon. You'll be my dessert," Sack told her.

She just smiled mischievously and finished preparing breakfast.

...

It was almost ten in the morning, and they were both playing a video game on the television and a console.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

He had to pause his fun.

He walked to the door, opened it, and looked sternly at Aleria, who, upon seeing Sack's gaze, found it difficult to maintain her firm and professional look.

She was definitely an exquisite woman, with her formal clothes hugging her beautiful, sensual body. With her long black hair, beautiful face, and gray eyes, she looked firmly at Sack and said:

"Mr. Sack Wilson, we need you to accompany us to the Association of the Awakened. It is a request from President Rogers."

Sack looked both ways and saw that two other awakened ones were standing slightly away to appear discreet.

"If you want to blend in, you should wear casual clothes," Sack thought, shaking his head, then sighing.

"I haven't gotten Daysy's points yet, I should go see her after I take care of this, and I can fuck Celestia too," Sack thought, smiling subtly at his amusing idea, then said to Aleria:

"I'll go to the Awakened Association on my own. Otherwise, I'll attract attention if I travel back and forth with you guys.

"Two hours," Aleria said, then walked away.

...

Sack closed the door and ran his hand through his hair.

"You want to go bald?" Zara joked.

Sack wrapped his arms around her waist, lifted her up, and kissed her:

"My rocker, let's finish the game."

"My handsome boy," she kissed him deeply.

...

A few minutes later, Sack headed to the Awakened Association in a private vehicle whose driver was not Osbert.

The streets were chaotic, with people coming and going, their faces filled with fear.

He ignored them and focused solely on the possible causes and requests that President Dagan Rogers' call might entail.

...

Sack arrived at the association, checked in at the reception desk, and requested to use the training grounds.

Shortly after, he was guided by one of the association's officials, and that was how he subtly went down the elevator that led to the underground floors.

...

In President Dagan's study room.

"I'll be direct. Join the team of irregulars that will attack the 'Carnivore'. The second S-rank special team will send 30 human sacrifices and then return to continue preparing to enter the abyssal dungeon.

'Carnivore' was the name given to the powerful and horrible S+ rank monster that caused the first S-rank team to fail.

Sack looked thoughtful. Although little was shown on television, he was able to see the monster evolving as it devoured some humans.

"How much did that thing evolve?" Although he knew it was a difficult question to answer, he felt it was better to ask than not to ask.

The president produced a tablet and handed it to Sack.

"That's all we know and what we assume," said President Dagan.

...

"This seems dangerous to me. Well, actually, it is dangerous. Besides, are sacrifices criminals? Or are they people like me when I entered the dungeon? It's not that I'm moralistic, I don't care what others do as long as they don't get my hands dirty with acts I don't want to participate in," Sack sighed as he continued reading.

"...Carnivore.

Rank: S+ (Possible rank SS*)

Abilities: Possesses the abilities of the beings it has devoured.

Intelligence: Undetermined. (Assumption: intelligence level of the beings it has devoured).

Awakened devoured during transmission: ...

Monsters devoured (assumption):..."

"I should be conquering women or fucking my lovely Amanda," Sack thought as he closed the report.

"I need to think about it," Sack said, standing up with a complicated expression.

"

"One day. You must remember that not all the human sacrifices required to stabilize the dungeon have been made, and it is very likely that a rupture will occur," Dagan Rogers said firmly.

Sack went out and walked around the shopping area.

Daysy: Sack, I'm free. You can come over. I'll wait for you.

Sack read Daysy's message and immediately wrote to Celestia.

Sack: Go visit Daysy.

Celestia: Hmm, shall the three of us play?

Sack: Yes, my beautiful streamer.

Celestia agreed and used a smiley face with hearts emoticon.

Osbert soon arrived with his truck to take Sack to the neighboring town.

...

Sack entered Daysy's comfortable apartment. She was wearing a cap, a mask, blue pants, and a black long-sleeved sweater.

Daysy took Sack's hand after they closed the door.

Daysy was wearing a black robe with pink patterns, under which her body was naked.

Celestia was sitting on the couch near the television.

Celestia wore a low-cut blue blouse that partially revealed her beautiful, large, juicy breasts. The blouse hugged her slim waist, and she wore a white miniskirt that revealed the delicious thighs of the beautiful streamer with purple hair and purple eyes.

"Even the most relaxed people are now paying attention to what's happening in Lifestan," was Sack's thought.
