Chapter 87 - Chapter 87 The Mad Bronsky

  Chapter 87 The Mad Bronsky

  "Where's Betty!?"

Banner continued to ask, perhaps afraid that Finnie wouldn't know who Betty was, he explained, "She's Ross's daughter. She was at school before, wearing a white coat, very pretty."

  "I know her!"

Finnie rolled his eyes and replied, "After you knocked her dad away, she ran crying to check on him. She should be alright."

Hearing this, Banner's tense heart finally relaxed a little, but he was still depressed. Even if he could get rid of the Hulk, the two of them probably wouldn't be able to get back together.

"Actually, it's hard to say whether he's dead or not."

Finnie hadn't personally confirmed Ross's death, nor was he sure that Hulk's slap had definitely killed Ross. There's plenty of advanced technology in Marvel; it's hard to guarantee that Ross couldn't be brought back to life.

In the original storyline, Coulson was stabbed in the heart and died for so long, yet he was still miraculously revived. Who can guarantee that the military didn't have some means at their disposal!?

Banner assumed Finnie was just trying to comfort him, and gave a wry smile without saying a word. He knew all too well how strong the Hulk was; how could the elderly Ross withstand a single blow from him?

After finishing their meal, Finnie didn't want to linger too long; he had taken leave to sneak out.

Although Banner was exhausted, he tried to pull himself together, knowing how terrifying it would be if those serum samples were to fall into the wrong hands.

Through Banner's explanation, Finnie finally learned Mr. Blue's identity: Samuel Stern, a PhD in Cell Biology from Greyburn College.

On the way, Banner remained in low spirits. Although Ross had been relentlessly pursuing and persecuting him, Ross was, after all, the father of the person he loved most, and he didn't know how to express these complex emotions.

Finnie lacked the talent for comforting people, so he didn't say much. Besides, he also bore some responsibility for this; without him, the Hulk wouldn't have slapped Ross away.

Soon, the two arrived at Greyburn College.

Finnie's handsome appearance attracted the attention of many girls, making Banner, who was used to hiding his true self, very uncomfortable. He unconsciously distanced himself from Finnie.

"Hey, handsome! I don't think I've ever seen you before. What department are you in?"

One girl even mustered the courage to approach him. Finnie, who was struggling to find someone, suddenly brightened up and replied, "Hello, I'm looking for someone."

"I'm looking for a professor, but I only know his name. Where should I look?"

"What's his name? Maybe he's my advisor?"

"Samuel Stern, I think he's a PhD in the Department of Cell Biology."

A hint of regret flashed across the girl's face; clearly, this wasn't her advisor. She thought for a moment, then shook her head and said, "I don't know that professor, but if it's the Department of Cell Biology, you can try looking over there."

The girl pointed in a direction and continued, "That's the biology department's lab building. There's a sign at the entrance with introductions and contact information for all the professors. I hope that helps."

  "Thank you!"

  Finnie thanked the girl.

  "My name is Katie."

The girl extended her hand, clearly wanting to develop the relationship, but Finnie wasn't interested, and this girl wasn't his type either. Nevertheless, he shook her hand and replied with a smile, "My name is Billy."

After seeing off the girl who left her contact information, Finnie found Banner hiding in a corner and they headed to the biology department's laboratory building together.

Following the directions, Finnie and Banner quickly found Samuel Stern.

Because Finnie didn't want to attract attention, Banner handled the contact himself, while Finnie secretly donned the 'Possessed' ability and activated invisibility mode.

Banner had already learned to adapt to Finnie's abilities, and what he wanted most now was to find out whether Samuel Stern had copied his serum.

"Hello, Dr. Stern, I'm Bruce Banner."      Banner stopped Samuel Stern, who was walking with his head down, carrying his textbooks.

Looking at Banner, Samuel Stern gave him a questioning look; Banner was clearly not a student.

"Or perhaps I should address you differently, hello, Mr. Blue."

Saying this nickname, which should have been known only to the two of them, Samuel Stern immediately understood, his face showing a surprised and delighted expression. He excitedly said, "Mr. Green!?"

Seeing Samuel Stern's excited appearance, Banner, worried about attracting too much attention, quickly pulled him aside and whispered, "I have some questions for you; this isn't the place to talk."

  "Come with me."

Samuel Stern seemed even more impatient; he hadn't expected to actually see Banner.

Finnie quietly followed the two to Stern's personal laboratory.

"I never thought I'd actually see you; I even doubted your existence!"

Once in the laboratory, Stern was very excited, talking incessantly to Banner about his theories, his conjectures, and his ideas.

While the two were talking, Finnie wandered around the laboratory. When he saw the rows of blood bags in the glass cabinet, he sighed slightly.

He immediately stepped out and interrupted their conversation.

  "It's you, Divine Punishment Knight!"

Stern, unlike Banner who was oblivious to the world, recognized Finnie at a glance. He asked in surprise and fear, "You... what are you doing here!?"

"Go inside and take a look. He has more stored than I thought."

Finnie ignored Stern and spoke directly to Banner. If he hadn't wanted Banner to believe him, he would have cleaned up all the blood earlier.

Banner's expression changed. Because of Stern's rambling, he hadn't even had a chance to ask about the blood, but he hadn't expected Finnie to have found it already.

Ignoring the bewildered Stern, Banner ran in the direction Finnie pointed, pushed open the door, and his face turned grim when he saw the several large cabinets full of blood.

  "This is all my blood!?"

Banner didn't care about dealing with the Hulk inside him anymore. He felt that destroying all these dangerous substances was the most important thing right now.

"You always send me too few samples, so I have to concentrate them to create more. I still can't determine whether gamma or your blood is more toxic. Through trial and error, this experiment has immense potential."

Samuel Stern, who followed him in, explained expectantly to Banner, "It will allow us to obtain norbene!"

"No, no, we have to destroy them now!"

Banner nervously looked at the blood bags around him. If he had known Stern would do this, he wouldn't have sent the blood in the first place.

  "Why!?"

  Samuel Stern looked incredulous.

"Alright, enough talk, let's get started." Finnie interrupted Banner, who was about to explain. It was already getting dark outside, and he wanted to go home as soon as possible.

Looking at Finnie, Samuel Stern felt a little scared. The oppressive feeling of being 'possessed by a demon' and the media's exaggerated claims made him afraid to speak carelessly in front of Finnie.

  Meanwhile, at a military base…

Having just received his second injection, Bronsky was gripping a woman's neck, viciously interrogating her: "Where is he? Tell me, where is he now? I can avenge your father!"
