Chapter 4 - CHAPTER-4 REINCARNATION

« So.. are you ready for a new world? »

" YES."

Getting Azrael's approval, Master V makes a gesture with his hand as if he is scrolling through the very fabric of reality itself.

And from his hand, a pitch-black portal starts to form, and after the portal is completed, he places it in front of me.

And tells me to step forward.

I look at the portal and I go numb as I feel surreal..

I still can't believe this is happening to me, It all feels like a dream.

If not for Master V's existence, I would conclude that this is all just my imagination toying with me.

I look at Master V and then look back at the portal with expectations.

I close my eyes and give myself a few minutes.

After a while,

I Open my eyes, and nod at the being who has given me everything that I have ever wanted. It is a gesture from my side to show respect..

I interpret a smile on his face.

And then I take a step inside the portal.

.....Calm and silence once again return to the dark void....

After Azrael is gone, only Master V is present in the dark void.

And he is doing nothing, He is simply staring right into the void.

as if he can see things that mortals can't even understand.

And then suddenly, The Creator speaks.

A voice so low and calm that it can even soothe a crying baby, but at the same time makes the universe tremble and reality shatter..

« So this marks the beginning of Azrael €$$¥√§× »

« He descends through rifts where dying stars whisper in fear,

A wanderer of ruin, drawing all creation near.

Both mortals and gods feel the pulse of shifting air,

A sovereign of twilight walks with his silent stare.

Through shattered skies he strides, the veil's unyielding seeker—

 Thrive, oh death..

As life itself welcomes The white Reaper »

With that, The Creator's structure starts to disintegrate as his purpose is fulfilled.

And with the last of his cosmic dust gone, the dark void also disappears.

All that remains... is nothing.

Worldof Terralon,

The sky is dark, littered with stars...

It indicates a peaceful and calm night in this beautiful world. But if you're able to look through this facade of calmness,

You can see a man gliding through the trees of the Sylvaran forests.

Expressions of shock, disbelief, and fear are clearly written on the man's face.

He steadies himself on one of the branches, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible, and tries to catch his breath for a few seconds before he starts moving again.

After running for half a mile, he is out of the dense habitat of trees and a road is visible.

And he can make out a carriage in the distance that is being drawn on this road.

The man sighs in relief after seeing the emblem of an open book being pierced by a shortsword embossed in gold on the carriage.

He runs towards the carriage as if that is his last straw of hope.

When he is close to the carriage, he slows down his pace and stops.

Immediately, he kneels before the carriage and raises his voice to alert the presence inside the carriage.

"Duke Vaeloreth, I am a member of the royal guard, and I seek immediate audience with you."

"The Vestra kingdom has broken the peace treaty and has killed our delegation."

"I am the sole witness to all of this, and I am being hunted down by the remaining Vestra soldiers, as I am the only one who can inform His Majesty of this betrayal of trust."

"I seek your protection, my lord."

After hearing all of this, a man walks out of the carriage and stares at the royal guard kneeling before him.

He is Duke Ragnar Vaeloreth— a six-foot tall man with golden-blond hair and emerald-green eyes, muscles built and hardened through war, and sharp eyebrows that make most lower their gaze as you cannot see eye-to-eye with this man.

He steps out and asks the royal guard.

"Is what you said true, soldier?"

"Yes, I am telling the truth, my lord."

"We need to hurry, time is of the essence sir Duke. I need to reach the capital as soon as possible to deliver this news."

"And also, my lord... They have a tier-7 leading the group, so we need to hurry."

Hearing that, the Duke's face changes; a tier-7 is not a common occurrence.

Ragnar turns towards the carriage driver,

"Sir Lewis, you need to get out of here right now, and escort Lady Elyndra safely to the Vaeloreth mansion."

A voice traced with concern is heard from the carriage,

"What happened, my love?"

"Elyndra, you have to get out of here. The situation is getting dire with every second, And you won't be able to assist me in your condition."

As he says that, he runs his hand affectionately over Elydra's belly.

"Okay, my love.. I will be waiting for you."

"Don't worry, I will be right behind you."

Ragnar turns towards Sir Lewis and nods,

Lewis nods back and turns the carriage.

"Haiyyah!".. with a whip of the reins, the horses gallop back the way they came.

After sending them off, Ragnar turns towards the royal guard who is still kneeling,

"You too, get out of here. Take a different route than my carriage and return to the capital at once."

The royal guard replies,

"Yes, Duke Vaeloreth."

The guard stands up and nods, then disappears from the place, treading a different path than the carriage towards the capital of Sylvanus.

After a while, only Duke Ragnar is left in the Sylvaran woods.

Back inside the carriage, Lady Elyndra is seated by the window, and there's a constant frown on her face as she is contemplating something.

Suddenly, she feels a pull on the right side of her swollen belly and then a pull on the left..

She panics as the understanding sets in of what's happening and screams to Lewis from inside the carriage.

"LEWIS! Hurry to the mansion...I am about to give birth."

Hearing her scream, Lewis also panics, and then starts reassuring Lady Elyndra.

"Do not panic, my lady. We are about to reach the mansion. I will try going even faster, my lady."

"Ride faster, Lewis! I can't hold on much longer!"

Lewis is whipping even harder to make the horses run faster, and the screams of pain are escaping from Elyndra's mouth as she is not able to handle the contractions.

Minutes go by, and Lewis finally sees the gate of the Vaeloreth mansion and screams at the top of his lungs to the guards standing outside.

"Lady Elyndra is about to give birth, call the head physician NOW!"

Hearing the scream, the guards panic and immediately rush inside to call the head physician.

When the carriage slowly stops inside the mansion, a group of people can be seen ready, equipped with all the necessities, and they escort Lady Elyndra to the medical chamber, she is on her last rope, just about to give birth.

As time goes by, screams echo throughout the silent mansion, and mid-wives can be seen rushing in and out of the medical chamber.

Outside the mansion, a figure is approaching the gates drenched in blood from head to toe.

The guards have tense expressions but realize that it's Duke Ragnar and bow deeply.

They open the gates for him to enter, and he hears about his wife's labor and rushes towards the medical chamber.

He runs towards the chamber and gets stunned.

As he hears a cry... and not just him.

The World of Terralon and every living being present on it are stunned in their place as the whole world trembles for a moment and goes deathly silent.

Discounting whatever he experienced, ragnar enters the chamber and can see the head physician holding a baby in his arms and his wife lying unconscious on the bed.

The head physician sees the Duke, and—

"Congratulations, my lord. it's a boy."

Ragnar, still drenched in blood, approaches the physician and takes the boy in his hands.

The baby who had been crying all this time, stops...

Ragnar speaks,

"Good. From today onwards, he is the second prince of my dukedom."

"I name you... Azrael Vaeloreth."
