The autumn leaves crunch under my feet as I sprint past the ivy wrapped gates of Juniper Row College. I'm gonna be late again! Professor Mapleford is probably going to lecture me in front of the other students once again. About 25 students heads whip toward me as I burst through the classroom door, "I apologise for being late professor, it won't happen again, Sir," the professor shakes his head, disaapointed, as I apologise. "You should know better than to make promises you can't keep Alesya. Find a seat and try not to further disturb the class," Professor Mapleford gestures to the seats scattered throughout the room as he speaks, his voice loud enough for all to hear. Whatever, I don't know any of these people properly anyways. I bet no one's even paying attention.

I close the door to my apartment behind me, and it makes a loud creaking sound as I do so. That door is seriously going to be the death of me, I think to myself. My apartment isn't the best, but it's decent enough, and close to my college as well. I feel something soft brush against my leg, and I smile as I pick up my ragdoll cat, "Oh Peanut, you won't believe my day today. First I somehow managed to be late to college yet again, and them on my way home, some rude lady knocked into me and I fell over. Which is actually really gross considering how dirty public transport is, and she didn't even have the decency to apologise! Rude, right?" I have a tendency to speak to Peanut, even though I know her brown and fluffy little self doesn't even understand.
