[Floating Cloud City: East Side Forest]
(3rd Person Pov)
Xia Qing Yue pondered to herself wondering how she was supposed to talk to someone illiterate. She wanted to leave this cave and this strange person named Acnologia. However, considering how deep in the forest they likely were, the injuries she sustained, and not knowing if there are other beasts hiding that are as strong as that Half Step Nascent Rank beast or stronger, she decided against leaving immediately. Just then, Xia Qing Yue's stomach rumbled in hunger as she realised she needed food to help her recover faster. She wasn't embarrassed at her stomach rumbling, it was a natural response to hunger and her body's requirement for sustenance to aid in recovery.
And it seemed like Acnologia also understood she was hungry as he took a large chunk of cooked bear meat that he had skewered and raised it to her.
Xia Qing Yue nodded a thank you as she carried the cooked skewer and brought it opposite of Acnologia before she took a seat on the ground and when she prepared to take a bite she realised that the meat was simply too large. It reminded her of a T bone steak but more larger as she looked unsure of how to even eat such a large chunk of meat not even sure if she could even properly eat the meat.
Acnologia tilted his head seeing her struggling on how to eat the large chunk of meat as he raised his palm catching Xia Qing Yue's attention as he casted wind magic, lifting the steak off the skewer, cutting the meat into smaller chunks, preventing the sliced meat from falling to the ground before skewering the meat back onto the stick. He raised an eyebrow seeing the little girl Xia Qing Yue stare at him blankly as if asking her what is she looking at him like that for. Xia Qing Yue said nothing, just looking down at her neatly minced skewers before taking a bite as her face scrunched up not exactly liking the taste of the meat, but she forced herself to finish the skewer.
Then he created a ball of water in front of her making her look at him in confusion as he gestured to drink the water he created out of thin air. She wasn't exactly sure how she was supposed to drink from this ball of water, and Acnologia also realised this seeing her stare blankly at the ball of water in front of her so he sent a steady stream of water directly in front of her lips, and she relented, opening her mouth as the water slowly streamed into her mouth before she raised her hand to tell him to stop and he did as she gulped the water down.
—(Break)—
Xia Qing Yue rested against the wall of the cave, having finished her meal and satiated her hunger she used this moment of respite to get lost in her thoughts.
'This Acnologia. He is no doubt a powerful cultivator. His mastery over wind, and water techniques is incredible. Normally such a level of precision would be those who are at least at the same level as my master. But looking back, I didn't exactly get to see how he started that fire, and considering my wounds are all closed up, and the wind and water techniques he just showed, It's safe to assume he also healed me. Just who is he? What sect is he from? And why come all the way to Floating Cloud City? Even the strongest person in our city is no more than the Spirit Profound Realm.'
Meanwhile Acnologia had closed his eyes thinking to himself.
'Man, what a drag. Transported into a Xianxia world, but the stupid cunt who sent me here didn't even let me have the ability to speak, read or write in this worlds language. Knowledge is just as valuable as raw destructive power, but noooo, I had to be sent in illiterate just my luck.'
Acnologia eventually fell asleep, leaving his guard completely down just because of how confident he was in his durability. He didn't need to even sleep due to how high his cultivation level was, but being a former normal human, he was already used to regular sleeping so him sleeping is more of a comfort from his previous life than a necessity.
And Xia Qing Yue just watched him like he was some sort of anomaly. She understood he was likely very strong, but to completely let his guard down? Was it confidence? Arrogance? Ignorance? Stupidity? Even she wasn't sure. She wanted to stay awake, but she too was drowsy, and her body needed to rest to recover her strength. Hopefully tomorrow morning when she wakes up, she will have Acnologia help her go home. So she allowed herself to fall into deep reluctant slumber, her energy now slowly recovering as she dreamt of the strength she desired to protect those most dearest to her.
—(Break!)—
The following morning, as Xia Qing Yue slowly woke up from her sleep, she shot up to her feet seeing how high the sun was.
'!? How long was I out? What time is it? Father and Xia Yuanba are probably panicking searching for me. I need to get back home now. Let's try to get Acnologia's help just in case.'
As she gazed where she last saw Acnologia sleeping she frowned seeing him gone. However, she didn't jump to conclusions, even though she just met Acnologia, she was sure he wouldn't just abandon her, otherwise, he would have done so much earlier on.
"He likely went out to hunt for something to eat."
Xia Qing Yue wanted to go home by herself, but after yesterday's events, she's not willing to take such risks. Regrettably, she needs Acnologia to help her return home. Being just 12 years old and at only the Elementary Profound Realm, going back on her own is a no go. So she waited and sure enough, a few minutes later she spotted Acnologia carrying several dead wild animals. He waved casually before he threw the dead animals into the cave as a massive pillar of ice fell directly on top of him.
(BOOM!)
In an instant the entire area where Acnologia stood was turned into a winter wonderland of pure ice. Up in the sky a beautiful woman looked down upon where she had struck Acnologia with disdain.
—(Scene Break)—
(A few minutes ago.)
Acnologia yawned as he got up, stretching his body. Even without the need to actually sleep, it still felt so nice to wake up from one. He took a look at his surroundings and spotted Xia Qing Yue still sleeping as he realised that he wasn't in fact dreaming.
"Oh well. At least I can confirm that I wasn't Lucid Dreaming. Guess I'll go hunt breakfast then I'll have her guide me back to wherever she's from."
Acnologia soon left the cave and went about hunting a few animals since he didn't want to endanger the population he only killed about 3 deers he spotted as he headed back to the cave he spotted a woman flying in the sky.
"Huh. She must be some sort of expert? Someone of extremely high cultivation rank? Oh well, not my problem anyways."
Acnologia felt her gaze fall on him as he continued his journey back to the cave.
'She might be related to Xia Qing Yue somehow since they both have similar scents, but less familial and more likely her master due to the frosty scent they both carry. That works for me, maybe she could help me out better than Xia Qing Yue.'
Acnologia soon reached the cave where he casually waved his hand to Xia Qing Yue before he immediately sensed hostility and an attack already about to strike him.
'She sure does attack surprisingly fast.'
Acnologia quickly threw the deers he hunted into the cave right before a massive pillar of ice came crashing down onto him from above.
—(Break!)—
Chu Yueli had returned to Floating Cloud City to check on her disciple after returning to her sect, the Frozen Cloud Asgard to report to the other Seven Cloud Fairies of the new disciple with a promising future and great talents seen only once every million years with 21 of her profound entrances were naturally opened.
But when she returned to Floating Cloud City, not only was Xia Qing Yue not within the city, her father and the man who was the grandfather to his future son in law, and the strongest in the entire city Xiao Li was scrambling in panic searching for the girl.
They hadn't spread the news to prevent any chaos from unfolding, but they had no idea where she had gone. The panic, terror and fear in their eyes made Chu Yueli frown. Had an unknown expert kidnapped Xia Qing Yue after somehow discovering she was recruited by the Frozen Cloud Asgard?
"No. It's unlikely."
Chu Yueli knew there were idiots who would do anything to get their hands on the Frozen Asgards disciples known for their beauty and ice cold personalities, but even she knew they weren't desperate enough to make an enemy of the entire Frozen Cloud Asgard all for some small fame and fortune.
So, she stretched her senses to their maximum capacity. Being a level 5 Sky Profound Realm expert, her senses were much more powerful and broad than the likes of everyone in this entire city. And sure enough, she soon sensed Xia Qing Yue's presence.
It was hard to distinguish it from the hundreds of other Elementary Profound Realm beasts in the forest, but the cultivation technique should be more visible to her senses and help her find her disciple more easily. She turned to the two old men and spoke calmly.
"I have located Xia Qing Yue. She seems to be deep in the East Side Forest of Floating Cloud City, rest assured, I'll bring her back safe and sound."
Chu Yueli's words eased the two men's minds but her father Yue Wuya looked confused.
"Why is she even in the East Side Forest? She's stil at the elementary profound realm, some of the beasts there are already stage 5 to 6 of the Nascent Profound Realm."
Chu Yueli shook her head, she wanted to say of the possibility Xia Qing Yue was kidnapped, but she doesn't wish to cause her disciples father anymore stress than he already is experiencing.
"Regardless, I'll go bring her home. Just keep things quiet, no one else is to know of her disappearance."
Yue Wuya nodded his head, tears in his eyes.
"Please miss Yueli, bring me back my daughter safe and sound."
Chu Yueli said nothing as she disappeared and in an instant was already at the top of the East Side Forest. She then felt a gaze on her, surprisingly there was no lust and when her eyes saw a young man carrying three deers, long dark blue hair and dark skin, she didn't think much of it, before her instincts told her this man was powerful. Far more than even Xiao Li. Maybe at her level? She trusted her instincts and followed the strange man. Assuming he might be the one who kidnapped Xia Qing Yue.
"Just who the hell is he? He looks so strange, and I can't fully tell his cultivation level. I just know he's not some weakling."
She watched him heading in the direction towards a cave, and her eyes went cold instantly. From a distance, she saw Xia Qing Yue leaning against the wall of the cave, her clothes stained with dried blood. She didn't attack yet. Giving this dark skinned stranger a chance just in case he wasn't involved with Xia Qing Yue's kidnapping and is just a hunter coincidentally walking in the direction of the cave her disciple was in.
However when he ended up too close to the cave, and even casually waving his hand in greeting to her disciple she immediately branded him as the kidnapper who inured her disciple after she attempted to escape from his grasp.
Thus without hesitation, she dropped a massive pillar of ice meant to crush him as the last thing she saw was him throwing the three deers he caught into the cave before he was crushed beneath the massive pillar.
—(Break)—
Chu Yueli watched with a frown, as not even a second after the pillar she dropped had crushed Xia Qing Yue's kidnapper, the ice fractured then shattered as cold dark blue eyes met her steel grey ones. And suddenly, overwhelming dread and terror flooded Chu Yueli. She saw the spirit of a Black Dragon who brought death to all that stood before him in a hazy avatar but that was all she saw as her instincts screamed she was going to die. With every last ounce of her strength she casted one of their sects defensive technique.
"Frozen Cloud Barrier & Wall!"
Chu Yueli manifested multiple translucent ice barriers and walls for defense. All for naught as Acnologia shattered them all, and his fist was buried deep into her diaphragm causing all the air from her lungs to escape her.
(**BLERGH**)
Chu Yueli coughed up mouthful of blood as she gasped for air only for Acnologia to slam her down into the earth below splintering trees and burying her in the earth below barely alive. If it weren't for the fact her cultivation was so high, she really would have died from the first strike let alone being slammed into the earth from high above in the skies.
And she knew. She knew from that first strike he was holding himself back. Significantly so. Regret flooded her as Acnologia stood over her body, his bare foot pressed down on her chest as he looked down upon her with a sinister grin as her life flashed before her eyes. She shouldn't have been so quick to strike first, maybe had she attempted proper communication, she wouldn't be halfway dead at this point. Just then a voice was heard screamed at the top of her lungs.
"ACNOLOGIA!!!"
"Hah?"
Acnologia watched impassively as Xia Qing Yue stood in front of him trying to push him off her master. Fear and terror came off her body in waves, tears in her eyes as she trembled. She looked him in the eyes, gesturing wildly pointing to herself then Chu Yueli, then she placed her fist against her palm and bowed. Acnologia understood what she was gesturing. This woman was her master.
'It seems like while I might not be as bloodthirsty as Acnologia himself, I'm still influenced somewhat by his personality and instincts.'
Acnologia looked into the terrified little girls eyes and clicked his tongue as he took his foot off Chu Yueli's chest causing her to gasp for air. He didn't really care about Chu Yueli, but he was still at the very least formally human. Both as his past life and as Acnologia. Seeing Xia Qing Yue's fear and terror struck both Acnologia's memories of the time he failed to save that child at his village from the dragons and his past life's own memories as well. Sensing others approaching their location Acnologia snapped his fingers seperating the space between them and the outside greatly terrifying Chu Yueli.
'H-He has mastery over the laws of space!? Heh…. Hehehehe…. I messed up extremely bad. Not only is this man so strong he overpowered me without any resistance, he even has mastery over the Laws of space. Older Sister Yuechan, I must apologise, I have offended an expert of extreme status. I had eyes but failed to see Mt Tai. I'll try my best to right my wrongs sister rest assured, the Frozen Cloud Asgard will not face his wrath.'
(COUGH!) (BLERGH!)
Chu Yueli violently coughed out blood, her injuries causing her extreme pain. Xia Qing Yue quickly helped her master sit up straight and with great effort she got on her knees and lowered her head before Acnologia's indifferent face.
"I…. I'm sorry for attacking you unprovoked oh great expert. I'll take full responsibility for my actions, just please I beg you, don't harm my disciple or my sect."
Acnologia heard Chu Yueli's words, while he couldn't understand what she was saying, he understood what she was trying to convey by her actions. However, his priorities were elsewhere as he looked around at the space he had just separated.
'So this is what it's like to wield the power of time and space huh? Even though it's all mostly because of this body that I have these powers, it's still quite the glorious feeling. And I seem to have quite the grasp over this magic even though I've never wileded it. I already instinctively know what to do and how to do it.'
Acnologia raised his palm towards Chu Yueli, causing both Chu Yueli and Xia Qing Yue to flinch before Chu Yueli felt her wounds healing themselves.
"This is!? The law of time as well!? You have mastery of two of the most powerful laws of the universe!?"
Chu Yueli was without a doubt frightened even more than she was earlier. But when she realised she had just raised her voice against this expert she bowed her head apologising for raising her voice against him. He was even considerate enough to heal her injuries using the law of time even though he could have just left her be. She carefully stood up before she made a Fist-and-Palm Salute.
"I thank you great expert for showing mercy and healing my wounds. Allow me to properly introduce myself. I am Chu Yueli of The Frozen Cloud Asgard. And one of Frozen Cloud Seven Fairies. Ranking fifth of the Seven Fairies."
Acnologia frowned as he turned his gaze to Xia Qing Yue as if she could help him. She gave Acnologia a helpless look as she pointed to her Master.
"Chu Yueli"
Acnologia nodded his head.
"Acnologia."
Chu Yueli heard his name but was confused why her disciple had to say her name out loud. Xia Qing Yue looked at her master as she explained.
"Master…. Lord Acnologia is illiterate."
"…. HUH!?"
