Utatane Koharu and her companion were consumed by jealousy.
The resentment had built up over a long time. Now, it finally exploded.
Utatane Koharu grew more heated as she cursed.
Mitokado Homura sensed that something was wrong. He watched the expressions of Baiye and the others darken.
Baiye had already walked up to Utatane Koharu without anyone noticing.
When she finally reacted, Baiye was standing right in front of her.
A mocking smile played on his face.
A chill ran down her spine.
"Sar... Sarutobi Baiye?!"
"What do you think you are doing?!"

"What do you think you are doing?!"
Utatane Koharu was startled by the sight of Sarutobi Baiye.
Her constant cursing stopped. Her tone shifted.
She felt a chill from head to toe under his gaze.
Beside her, Mitokado Homura tugged at her sleeve. He tried to warn her.
Utatane Koharu ignored him. She shouted a few more times.
When Baiye did not react, she felt relieved.
She looked toward Sarutobi Hiruzen and Danzo.
"Hiruzen! Danzo?!"
"Do you not plan to say anything?!"
"Look at your grandson!"
"He does not care about us at—"
Before Utatane Koharu could finish her sentence, Baiye slapped her.
The noise stopped instantly.
"Crack!" (Lethal Critical Hit!)
The force was so great that her head spun three times. Her body did not move.
Bones crunched. Her head ended up facing the wrong way. Her eyes stared directly at Mitokado Homura.
Homura froze in terror.
"You are so noisy. It is annoying."
"I thought there was a serious reason I was called here."
"If I give you face, I call you a Consultant. If I do not, I will put you in the ground!"
"Do you really think you are important?"
Mitokado Homura lost his nerve. He collapsed to the floor.
"Yes, yes! Young Master Baiye is right!" (Please spare me!)
"Utatane Koharu was just a wretched woman! She was jealous of the Sarutobi Clan and the Shimura Clan!"
"She deserved to die! I am sorry you had to get your hands dirty, Young Master Baiye."
"I am so sorry! I am so sorry!"
Mitokado Homura continued to beg for mercy.
Baiye ignored the old man.
Sarutobi Hiruzen and Danzo acted as if nothing had happened.
When Baiye struck, they both looked out the window.
They ignored everything in the office.
Mitokado Homura understood the situation. He gave up on his schemes.
He just wanted to leave the Hokage building alive. He would resign immediately.
Dead men have no titles.
A notification sounded in Baiye's mind.
[Ding! You have killed a Konoha Consultant in front of the Hokage.]
[Fusion Level +5%]
Baiye frowned.
'How unlucky.'
'This old hag only gave me five percent.'
'That is less than Naruto and Sasuke.'
He looked at Mitokado Homura.
One consultant was five percent. Two would be ten percent.
That would bring his Fusion Level to fifty percent.
Baiye felt that his abilities would increase greatly at fifty percent.
He could not let this old man go. One death was a gift, but two was a set. They could be companions on the road to the afterlife.
Mitokado Homura saw the killing intent in Baiye's eyes. He began to tremble.
He looked at Sarutobi Hiruzen and Danzo. He hoped they would remember their old friendship.
But they ignored him. Danzo even looked pleased.
Danzo thought that his grandson was a decisive killer. He was just like Danzo himself.
Mitokado Homura felt desperate.
"Hiruzen! Danzo! I will give you everything the Mitokado Clan owns!"
"I want nothing! I will give up my position as a Consultant!"
"Please, tell Baiye to spare me!"
Hiruzen and Danzo looked at each other. They were interested.
The Mitokado Clan had accumulated much wealth over the years.
Baiye laughed.
"Confused!"
"If I kill you, those things will be ours anyway."
