Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Hiro Ryugamine

"Bang-sensei!"

Bang lowered the towel he was using to wipe his forehead and gazed inquiringly at his most promising student.

"Sensei! Thank you for your teachings for the past 7 years!"

"Hohoho, what's the matter, Hiro? You talk as if you're leaving the dojo…?"

"Yes, sensei! I got a scholarship from a high school in City A. Therefore, I may not be able to go to the dojo anymore."

Bang stared at the white-haired young man before him while stroking his mustache.

Hiro was the most talented disciple his Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist dojo had ever since its founding. He had high hopes for the young man, even entertaining the thought of passing on his mantle to him after a few years. However…

"Hahaha, that's great. It's important you value your education. You're only 15. Whenever you're free, you can come back to the dojo anytime."

"Thank you, sensei! I'll make sure to never miss a day of practice!"

After Hiro bade farewell to his fellow dojo students, he decisively left the mountaintop and headed home.

"After so many years, my novice period is about to come to an end. Choosing My Hero Academia as the first world may not be the optimal choice, but fortunately, the Quirk I got is a huge help for my future progress."

Hiro murmured as he locked the gate of his house- said house being an empty residence that he found in the outskirts of Z City.

With the increasing number of monsters over the past 5 years, houses like these that were located on the periphery were becoming more and more frequently abandoned.

Hiro slowly walked away. However, it was not in the direction of City A as he claimed to Bang. Instead, he went deeper in the forest.

Looking at the lush foliage, a trace of reminiscence flashed in his eyes.

When he reincarnated into this world of One Punch Man, his family also lived near the forest outskirts.

Back then, his elder sister often took him around their garden, always childishly pestering him to play with her. He never was able to resist her- doting on her a lot and going along with her whims.

Those were one of the most fond memories he had in this world.

It was rather unfortunate that it swiftly came to an end. And it wasn't even in the hands of any powerful monsters or villains, just some random mountain bandits.

He still remembered his mother's desperate scream as father tried to block the door. Her mournful wails. The sadistic laughters. And finally, his sister–

Hiro shook his head. The smile on his face momentarily freezing, before quickly returning to normal.

It had been more than 10 years since that incident. He already got over it. Besides, they weren't his real family. They were just poor victims whose unborn son he reincarnated in.

Anyways, he was in a critical situation then. Being only 2 years old, he could barely run, much less do anything to help. It was only with the use of the system that he escaped certain doom.

His system was called the Strongest Hero System. According to the instruction manual embedded inside, its aim is to help its host become the strongest hero in the multiverse- a hero who doesn't need the power of friendship to take down their foes.

Contrary to its grand goal, it only provided two basic functions.

Firstly, it can let him travel to other anime and fantasy worlds. And secondly, he could adapt and be able to use said world's power system.

There were no missions, shops, slave branding, contracts, etc. There were also no constraints on what he can do and cannot do on the worlds he went to- just a warning about being wanted in the multiverse if he ever became a villain.

The system only imposes two restrictions.

After choosing a world, that world would be locked in. He needed to complete a condition- which is to defeat either the strongest villain or hero of that world in a serious fight without anyone's assistance, to gain an additional world travel chance.

And secondly, except for the first world, the timeline in which he can travel to other worlds is a month before or after the beginning of the plot he knew.

When Hiro discovered this function of his System, he had planned to grow up and build his foundation for a few years first in the OPM world. Then, he'd travel to the world of Naruto before Kaguya ate the Chakra Fruit and steal it from her. With the power of said fruit, he could easily deal with her and unlock another world.

Very unfortunately, those damn bandits ruined his plan. Being a weak 2 years old, he was forced to choose a safer world to immediately escape his predicament.

And with limited time to consider, he finally decided on the world of My Hero Academia.

The world of MHA wasn't that bad. Although there were various dangers due to superpowered villains, they were minimal as long as he stayed in the city where All Might's agency was. In addition, this world has One For All- a powerful Quirk that can be continuously passed down.

Since he couldn't get the Chakra Fruit, this Quirk became his target. As long as he planned it right, he could show off his heroism to All Might at a young age and gain a chance to become the successor of that Quirk.

The first part of his plan worked. He teleported 13 years before the start of the plot, the same age as Deku, and grew up safely in an orphanage opened by All Might.

But the second part failed. Or more specifically, it changed when he awakened his Quirk two years after he traveled through.

His Quirk is called Biokinesis. It gave him the power to more precisely control his own body.

As someone who majored in Biology in his previous life, he knew just how much potential this Quirk of his had.

As long as he could reach the point where he could manipulate his body down to the genetic level, he'd be able to achieve biological immortality and copy any Quirk he wants by modifying his own Quirk Factor.

Thus, he scrapped his plan of acting like a goody two-shoes in front of All Might and instead focused on training his own Quirk.

At first, he could only do things like make his hair move, speed-up his blood flow, make his bones more elastic, absorb more nutrients from food, etc.

But after countless years of training, followed by a Quirk awakening in one of his spar against Bang-sensei, he achieved the ability to control his body down to the tissue level.

Hiro stopped. At this moment, he was already deep inside the jungle, right in front of a mountain.

He pushed a large, dark-red rock aside. There, a reinforced cave with some medical supplies and other miscellaneous items were present.

This was one of the caves he used when traveling to MHA.

After his first time travelling back, he had found his house cordoned off by the police and being investigated. Wary of being discovered and dissected by the mad scientists here, he had to travel back and wait for months before returning to this world.

Since then, he has tried to avoid traveling from a place where someone might break in at any time.

After all, he might use the travel function of the system to escape while injured. If someone broke in during that period, that would be a bit risky.

After sealing the entrance once again with the stone, Hiro stood in the middle of the cave, opened the system panel, and vanished from this world.
