Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 — The Midnight Council

In the realm of the spirit. The Time Travellers had meeting in the land of the immortal. They wanted to discuss on whom to attain the position of the new white god. Kael Morwen—Their leader showed up with three other members.

"Where's everybody?" He asked looking around.

The ground was shaking. Stones were falling and their kingdom was falling.

"Stop!!" Kael ordered, blocking their way with his two hands.

"We need to leave here immediately else we get stuck forever. Let's go." He added as they left.

In the land of the spirits. Kael went for a deep talk with the head of the witches.

"No White god yet? Kael why keep us waiting?" Louisiana asked with a frowned face expecting a response from Kael.

Louisiana was the head of the witches. She had power over the living and the dead, she could give and take powers from other witches and could cast and uncast spell to whoever she wants and whenever.

Kael was lost in thought. He couldn't figure anything out yet. That made him want to go crazy—because they had no time any longer.

"Ten years from now, and there'd be nothing left of this place. It will be in ruins and no white god too. That is what we found." Kael replied.

"So there will be no council again? Then you should go back and find out what happened five years or seven years or even two years earlier." Nyx Blackwood—another witch added.

"Thompson, you know the rule. Until after another full moon." Kael added and went back to the land of humans.

In the land of humans, everybody wondered who the new god would be and why he hasn't been found.

Louisiana's apartment had a weather which was full of anxiety.

"So you mean we have to wait for another full moon?" Zyre Nocturne asked.

"That is the direction from the elders." Louisiana responded.

"But why are they insisting that it has to be a white god that will rule us?"

"Because a white god, just like a seer can see today, tomorrow and even the future." Louisiana replied.

"But all these things you said, a witch can do it. You're a great witch and you can do all these things just by casting a spell. All these things you just listed is something you can do. Why aren't you the one ruling us"

Zyre added persuading her and making her see meaning in what she was saying.

"I think this is right time for you to take up this mantle and besides we can't leave that place vacant for this long. Another full moon? It could be disastrous." Zyre said pointing out.

"You're right. You have a point there. Obviously we the witches can do and undo. We witches can do all things. Today, tomorrow and great beyond. So shall it be." Louisiana responded in a loud tone.

The next day. At Aderyn Heights college, it was almost dismissal time. Ivana was discussing with Georgina when Greg came to them.

"Vote for Nya. Nya" Greg said repeatedly while giving Georgina the campaign flyer.

"Vote for Nya. Nya." He said to Ivana but Ivana observed something strange when she raised his face. Greg was not acting by his own power—he was under someone's spell.

"What happened to you" She asked Greg as she raised his face and saw flames of black smokes.

"Greg!! What are you doing there?" Nya called Greg from behind as she approached the place with her girls. Greg turned and left with them.

When they left, Ivana followed them—she had heard various strange things about Nya and what they had done in the school even before she joined them, she had witnessed most of them, herself.

"Nya!!" Ivana called her fearlessly as she followed them.

Nya looked back and faced her.

To Nya's greatest surprise, Ivana undid the spell Nya had cast on Greg just by raising her right hand.

"Why are you doing that to him?" Ivana asked dropping her hands down.

"Did what?" Nya replied with a firm face.

"Thee code of conduct does not permit you to use your power on humans. You're being unfair." Ivana reminded her.

"What are you saying?" Anna said in a calm petite voice.

"Don't even go there! The other day, l knew what you did and collected that guys money in class. And then you're messing with Greg." Ivana said in anger.

In loud voice, Nya said, "I see you know who we are. Perhaps you know who we are."

"Your first crime; you failed to identify with us and your second crime; you choose these immortals over us your sisters." Nya stated pointing her finger at Ivana.

"YOU'RE NOT MY SISTER!! And l don't abide by any law" Ivana disagreed in a high tone.

"I just came to warn you. Let this be the last time you mess with humans again." Ivana warned pointing at them, one after the other.

Nya got angry. She turned her back and recited some incantations.

"How dare you!!" Nya shouted at Ivana throwing her the spell but to her utmost shock Ivana killed the spell and it hit the wall breaking it's part into pieces.

"I am off limits." Ivana added. She freed Greg and left.

Nya and her crew left in anger.

After the weekend on a Monday morning. The day was bright and the environment was warm.

Nya held a nylon of a poison in her palms. She stood at the entrance of their classroom's main gate.

She began. "Sisters"

"Yes sister" Imani and Ivan answered.

"I know you must be wondering why we are here. It's time to take down that stupid teacher." She continued.

"You see this right here." She added showing them the powdered poison that had the spell of sickness.

"This is all we need. Very soon, he's going to pass here because we have his class. And this will result to a swollen leg that will make him not come back to this school." Nya said with full force.

"Take, sprinkle it there, where's he's going to pass." She said giving the poison to Ivan.

Ivan was one of the members of the blood sisters. She was a white witch. She had a twin sister who does not possess those types of powers.

Imani was not in support of their plan. She had feelings for Mr Nelson and wouldn't want anything to hurt him.

"I just ran out of my gum, let me quickly go get another one in my bag." She told Nya and ran out to execute her plans.

As Mr Nelson was going to their class to their class for lecture. He got a phone call from the school's manager—his presence was needed urgently.

"Dorathy, l have your class now. Please take this book to your class. I'll be there soon." He said as handed the lesson notes and textbook to her and rushed to the manager's office.

"Okay sir." She replied carefully placing the books on her left hand and supporting it with her right hand.

Dorathy—ignorant of the spell, passed it and it caught her. She felt a sharp pain but allowed it to slide and went to her classroom.

Nya and Ivan were disappointed. They were angry their spell didn't catch up with the targeted prey—Mr Nelson.

They had no choice than to walk back to their classroom.
