Kael gave Future Rogue a basic lesson in common sense.
The Knight Captain's expression shook upon hearing this. He had originally planned to use the Eclipse Gate to travel back 400 years and destroy the Black Mage Zeref and the Black Dragon Acnologia before they could grow powerful. That way, he could change history.
But Kael's words completely denied that possibility. History could not be changed. What was changed wouldn't be the actual history.
Future Rogue let out a light laugh at Kael's words. "History? Who cares about history? I don't care about those things at all. What I am about to create is history."
"Even if this isn't my original world line, so what? The world I was in has already been destroyed. I simply want to rule this world."
Future Rogue spread his arms and shouted loudly.
"Uh... rule the world? With just these seven dragons? That's not quite enough," Kael said flatly.
"Not enough?! That's because you don't understand the power of dragons at all. Seven years from now, in my original world, Acnologia—just a single dragon—ruled the entire world. Mages and guilds that could match him didn't even exist. Everyone lived in fear every day. I have seven now. Naturally, I can rule the entire world. If I defeat Acnologia as well, I will be the King of Dragons."
Arrogance and smugness were written all over Future Rogue's face.
Kael shook his head. "It's really not enough. Dragons are legends on the Ishgar continent, but there are still many dragons left on the Guiltina continent. Among them, quite a few claim they can match Acnologia. So, seven dragons alone are definitely not enough."
"What?!"
Future Rogue hadn't expected that giant dragons still existed on the Guiltina continent.
However, a smile quickly appeared on Future Rogue's face. "Then that's even better. I originally thought seven dragons were a bit few. If there are still dragons on Guiltina, I'll go there later and rule even more of them."

"Sorry! My world doesn't need you to save it. And I don't think there's anything to be thankful for when it comes to someone who wants my life."
"Hmph! In that case, go die! Zilconis! Kill him! While you're at it, kill everyone in this palace."
Rogue gave an order to the giant dragon next to him, which had emerald-colored scales.
"Hahahaha!! These humans seem quite delicious!!"
"Ahahaha!! Let this old man see which one I should start eating first!"
"Decided! I'll start with you..."

Kael raised his palm and fired a Red sphere at Zilconis.
The red sphere flew straight from Kael's palm and quickly struck Zilconis.

Zilconis let out a scream, and his massive body was blasted flying.

Rogue's expression changed. He hadn't expected Zilconis to be knocked away so easily by Kael.
He knew Kael was very strong. The combat power Kael had shown earlier today was terrifying. Because of that, he wanted to get rid of Kael. If he didn't eliminate this guy, who knew how strong he would become in the future? He might even threaten Rogue's rule.

Zilconis spread his wings and quickly flew back.
Zilconis looked at Kael with a face full of rage. "Bastard!! You bastard, that hurt!! A mere human!! I'll eat you!!"
Zilconis opened his massive mouth and lunged at Kael to bite him. This movement was as savage as a wild beast, and its power could not be underestimated as it contained Dragon Slayer Magic.

Kael's figure vanished instantly.
"This bastard! Where did he go?!"
Zilconis looked all around but couldn't see Kael.
"Above!"
Future Rogue couldn't help but shout a warning.
Zilconis looked up. Just as he saw Kael, the Red sphere in Kael's hand had already finished condensing.

The Red sphere struck Zilconis.
"Waaaaaaagh!!"
Zilconis screamed and fell straight down.
Rumble———!!
The palace buildings below were crushed by Zilconis's weight.
"Bastard!! That hurts so much!! You damn human!! I will definitely kill you!!"
Zilconis was in quite a bit of pain down there. Although the other's magic hadn't caused any real structural damage, it still hurt a lot.
Most importantly, it was unforgivable for a mere human to cause pain to a great dragon like himself. This sin could only be repaid with the other's life.
