Chronicles of the Broken Parliament Decree

To rule over Winter, three sacred anchors must stand unbroken. The Winter Parliament, the Divine Beast, Xuanwu, and the Heir of Winter himself. So long as these pillars endure, the season remains bound by law, its frost obedient to the turning of the world. Yet, upon the night the Heir drew his first breath, calamity descended. Blood was spilled without mercy. The Parliament was destroyed, its voices silenced in slaughter. Xuanwu, divine and ancient, was grievously weakened, and the newborn Heir vanished, as though the snow itself had swallowed him whole. Thus, Winter rebelled against the ordained cycle. Frost refused to yield to spring, storms roamed without command, and the balance of the Court was cast into dread. From the fractures of order, demons arose in every quarter, drawn by the scent of chaos, eager to claim a season left without a throne.
