"Big Sister Eden, it's been so long, Vya missed you~!"
Looking at Eden on the screen, as elegant as ever, Vya smiled and waved at her.
Honestly, Vya really liked Eden a lot. A big sister who practically glowed with a golden light, hehe...
"Yes, it has been a while, little Vya, and my dear Elysia too."
Eden smiled as she looked at the two of them.
Elysia leaned in from the side. "Eden, I missed you too~ It feels like forever since we last met♪~"
She poured out her feelings of longing to the screen.
"Alright now, Elysia. Once my upcoming performance in Australia is over, I'll have time to visit."
Elysia waved her hand. "Oh, it's really no trouble at all. Eden should focus on her own work first."
"Yeah, Big Sister Eden! Vya will clap for you!"
"Well then, I'll thank little Vya in advance."
Eden's serene smiling face was full of tenderness.
They chatted a while longer...
Eden seemed to suddenly remember something and stood up.
"Oh, that's right. The new clothes are ready. Have a look first and see if you like them."
Saying this, she left for a moment. Soon, Eden returned, holding an exquisitely crafted little golden dress in her hands.
The skirt was adorned with tiny crystals that sparkled under the light.
The collar and cuffs were embroidered with intricate patterns, looking both luxurious and elegant...
Most of the decorations were quite valuable items, though that was nothing much for Eden, of course.
"It incorporates some of my personal preferences, but I think it will suit Vya perfectly."
Eden said as she showed off the dress in her hands.
"Wow..."
Vya stared intently at the dress, her eyes filled with an expectant glow.
Elysia wrapped her arms around Vya from behind. "I think it's very beautiful too♪~ Once Vya puts it on, she'll surely look like a real princess."
Her imagination was quite good. Looking at this pretty golden dress, she could already picture how Vya would look wearing it.
Eden was the same; she could imagine it too. Aside from cuteness, there would be an inexplicable sense of nobility.
"Thank you, Big Sister Eden! Vya loves it!"
Vya was overjoyed. She had new clothes, and they were even handmade for her by Big Sister Eden.
Eden carefully set the dress aside. "The clothes are ready. Should I have someone deliver them?"
Elysia tilted her head in thought. "But I think receiving them personally from Eden's hands would be more meaningful♪~ What does Vya think?"
"Mhm, mhm! Big Sister is right!"
Although Vya certainly liked the dress, she wanted even more to see Big Sister Eden in person, to stay by her side and bask in that gentle golden warmth.
"Alright then. We can save the rest of our chat for next time we meet."
Elysia pouted. "Oh, is it ending so soon?"
"Yes, my dear Elysia. I have to leave shortly."
"Well then, I wish Eden a successful performance♪~"
Elysia quickly regained her smile.
"Yes, goodbye, Elysia, and little Vya."
"Goodbye♪~"
"Goodbye, Big Sister Eden!"
Vya also waved her little hand to bid Eden farewell.
"Big Sister, when can we see Big Sister Eden again?"
"What's this? Does Vya miss Eden that much~?"
Vya answered without hesitation, "Yes!"
Elysia felt her position in Vya's heart was being threatened... Just kidding, how could that possibly be~
Eden was so wonderful, it was only normal for Vya to like her♪~
After all, Elysia liked her a lot too. It was a win-win situation!
Elysia smiled and ruffled her hair. "Well then! Let's take the initiative and go find Eden ourselves!"
"Yay! Let's go find Big Sister Eden!"
"But don't celebrate too soon~ We have to see if we have the time for it~"
"Ah... okay."
At the mention of this, little Vya's recently perked-up head drooped again.
But she quickly cheered up. At least there was something to look forward to now.
...
The next morning.
Vya was up early as usual, though she hadn't slept at all, of course.
Elysia was still fast asleep. One of her arms rested naturally on Vya, encircling the small body in her embrace.
Looking at Elysia's sleeping face, Vya shouted in her heart, 'Big Sister is so beautiful!'
Breaking free from Elysia's warm embrace required tremendous resolve.
Fortunately, our little Vya had it.
Then she got out of bed. Standing by the bedside, Vya looked back at Elysia, still sound asleep.
Having lost her cuddle target, Elysia's posture had adjusted slightly. She was now unconsciously hugging a pillow, her cheek pressed against the soft pillowcase, a faint, elusive smile on her lips.
"Good morning, Big Sister..."
Vya said in a very small voice.
Vya started reading a book, though she had long since changed the books she read many times over.
The picture books Elysia bought for her at the very beginning were obsolete long ago. Later came the extracurricular books Theresa bought for Vya.
And then came the books Mobius gave her.
Vya liked reading, even if she couldn't really understand most of the content. Remembering it was enough.
It was still very early. After finishing her book, Vya quietly went out.
She was used to it. Although Elysia had been worried the first few times when she woke up to find Vya suddenly gone, she got used to it after a while.
The base felt empty and deserted, certainly not as nice as Elysia's embrace.
But then, you might always run into a respawned NPC.
Sometimes she'd meet an early-rising Sister Klein hurrying past with a huge pile of materials, or run into Sister Mei who also had the habit of waking early... Sister Mei might not have slept either...
Who would she meet today?
Perhaps, just like now.
"Sister Hua! Good morning!"
"Oh, it's Vya. Good morning."
Hua smiled as she spoke to Vya. She seemed accustomed to this scenario too.
This kid seemed to wake up early every day.
"Is Big Sister still going for training?"
"Mhm."
Hua nodded, then asked,
"What about your big sister? Still asleep?"
"Big Sister Elysia is sleeping so soundly! Vya didn't want to wake her."
"...Vya, are you sure you don't want to sleep a bit more?"
Hua asked this question for the first time. It was something she had wondered about before.
After all, it should be good for a child's health to sleep a little more.
"But Vya isn't sleepy!"
The little girl shook her head and said with a smile.
"Is that so? Well, alright then. I'm heading to the training room."
She took a step to leave, then turned back to add, "Remember not to wander too far. Your sister will look for you when she wakes up."
"Mhm! Goodbye, Sister Hua!"
"Mm, goodbye."
Vya waved vigorously until Hua's figure disappeared around the corridor corner.
Hua walked on her way to the training room, thinking to herself that she should call Carol to train together next time. After all, even little Vya could persist in waking up early. Carol had no excuse to always sleep in, right?
