Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Yuji Itadori's Grandson

In a McDonald's somewhere in Osaka, Japan, three people shared a rectangle table. On one side sat a girl and a boy, while another boy occupied the opposite side.

The girl's long dark hair fell untamed down her back, her pale skin contrasting sharply with her black and white outfit. Beside her, the boy had short dark hair and wore a full black outfit, a katana hanging casually at his waist. These two were Yuka and Tsurugi, grandchildren of legendary Scocerors Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zenin, and both siblings were Jujutsu sorcerers of notable skill.

Across from them sat a boy with a striking resemblance to Yuji Itadori. His pink hair, white vest, long black pants, and brown Ugg boots made him hard to mistake. He was Wasuke Itadori Jr., grandson of the strongest sorcerer of the today.

While devouring his burger, Wasuke muttered thoughtfully, "Man… Osaka's McDonald's is so much better than the ones in Kyoto." He shook his head, as if agreeing with himself, then added, "I wonder what it is that makes it so much more better… is it ingredients? Staff? Cooking methods? Training?" He scratched his chin, crossing one leg over the other in deep contemplation. "Maybe I should just move to Osaka… but moving all the way from Kyoto for McDonald's would be insane, wouldn't it?"

Before he could ponder further, Yuka's voice cut through the chatter. "Please, Wasuke Itadori Jr.! Stop ignoring me! Please, come back to Jujutsu Tech!"

He shout was loud enough to quiet the entire restaurant.

Yuka sank back in embarrassment, while Tsurugi and Wasuke twitched at the sudden outburst. Wasuke sighed and slowly rose slightly from his seat. "I apologize, everyone. Sometimes… she's a little… coocoo," he said, making a vague gesture with his hands. "So, please, continue your meals. And sorry for the disturbance."

The McDonald's gradually returned to its usual noise. Wasuke slumped back into his seat, biting into his burger with a sigh, sauce spilling out. Yuka glared at him angrily. "Wasuke! Who are you calling crazy? You've gotten too disrespectful!"

Wasuke chuckled, waving a hand dismissively. "Sorry, sorry. I had to say something, or the mood would've been really awkward."

Yuka then slammed her hand on the table, leaning forward to fix Wasuke with a deadly glare. "Never mind that! Will you please come back to Jujutsu Tech?"

Tsurugi sipped his coffee, expression unreadable as always as he surveyed the entire situation.

"No," Wasuke said finally, letting out a deep sigh. "And Yuka… you really need to stop adding 'Jr.' to my name. It sounds… cringe. Besides," he smirked, "great-great-grandfather Wasuke should be my Jr., since I've been said to be more powerful than him."

Yuka slumped back. "Why though? I simply don't understand why you won't come back."

Wasuke leaned back, voice softening slightly but firm. "Yuka, we've been over this before. Those bastards at Jujutsu Tech treat my grandfather like a walking weapon, something to use whenever they feel like it. They disregard his emotions and his feelings and only expect him to do their bidding." He then leans in closer to her and puts his face so close to her it almost looks like a kiss, he then says "And you want me to willingly go back and work for them? Yuka… we grew up together. You know how much I look up to my grandfather. I just… I cannot bring myself to work for people like that."

Yuka turns beet red as she scrambles to sit back down. But she is also speechless. Everything Wasuke said rang true. After a pause, she whispered, "I understand that… truly I do. But… but I need you, Wasuke. It used to be so fun when the three of us exorcised together as a team."

Wasuke smiled faintly. "There's no need for us to stop doing that. Being at Jujutsu Tech isn't the only way to exorcise curses. Besides… the Itadori clan doesn't need Jujutsu Tech. Especially with the only two special grade sorcerers of today being there anyway."

Tsurugi clicked his tongue. "There he goes again… bragging about his special grade status." He continues, "Nobody cares about titles, Wasuke. It's about what you do with the power you possess that matters. Having the power to take over a country doesn't automatically make you powerful. It's what you do with that power that counts."

Wasuke chuckled a bit, which quickly turned into a burst of laughter, catching both Yuka and Tsurugi off guard. "Sorry, sorry. It's just… Tsurugi, you're literally the funniest guy ever." He then continues wiping teats from his eye and says "Tsurugi really said 'being able to take over a country isn't being powerful?' What kind of stupid shit is that? This isn't My Little Pony; this is Jujutsu sorcery. Strength usually comes first."

Tsurugi rose in irritation. "You see? This is why I don't like you. You are Immature and close-minded." Tsurugi then points at him and says, "Wasuke, remember the raid on Sukuna? It was a combined effort from legendary sorcerers including your grandfather, my grandfather, and grandmother. Or have you forgotten about one of the first things we learn in Jujutsu Tech?"

Yuka tugged him down with a sigh. "Tsurugi… I keep telling you not to take anything Wasuke says seriously. You'll just go crazy."

Tsurugi started to protest, but Wasuke cut him off. And with a cold voice said, "Jujutsu Tech is the reason my grandfather is in hiding. I wasn't even able to learn his most prized move. The World Cutting Slash. I can't go fishing with him, road trips… exorcising curses together is impossible now. And it's all because of Jujutsu Tech."

He took a final sip of his cola, stood, and placed some bills on the table. "I'll pay for the meal." He then gave Yuka a pointed look. "Oh, and… Yuka. Just like I've said before, if my grandfather ever turned his fangs on Jujutsu Tech, just know that I would side with him. Do with that information what you will."
