Chapter 5 - Chapter 4: The Invincible True Man

Early the next morning.

Two figures, one tall and one short, walked out of the academy gate.

"Teacher, where are we going to find spirit beasts?"

Tang San followed beside Grandmaster, full of anticipation for today's trip.

"We're going to the Spirit Hunting Forest about four hundred li northeast of Notting City. It's a place where the empire breeds spirit beasts, so we'll definitely be able to find a suitable one for you."

By now, the swelling on Grandmaster's face had mostly subsided, though the marks left by the blades of grass were still faintly visible.

"Bred? Spirit beasts can be bred? Teacher, please tell me more about spirit beasts."

Hearing something new, Tang San's interest was immediately piqued.

However, Grandmaster didn't start explaining right away. Instead, he pointed at Tang San's black eye and asked:

"This can wait. First, I want to know what you were doing last night. Why do you have such dark circles under your eyes?"

Upon hearing this, the painful memories from last night instantly flooded Tang San's mind.

This wasn't a dark circle; it was Xiaowu's handiwork.

If he hadn't used Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track in time, he didn't know how much more he would have suffered.

"Haha, teacher, I didn't do anything last night. I just had a bit of insomnia," Tang San casually brushed it off with an excuse.

"You're still so young to have insomnia. I think you just have too much energy. I'll make a training plan for you later to make sure you fall asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow."

Grandmaster didn't press further on the matter.

After organizing his thoughts for a moment, he continued:

"Let me tell you about spirit beasts now. Essentially, spirit beasts are just wild beasts that possess spirit power…"

Along the way, Grandmaster shared a great deal of knowledge about this world.

Tang San listened with rapt attention.

Meanwhile, Zhou Fan kept yawning incessantly.

"Yawn— How is this kid Tang San so energetic? We've been traveling all day, and he's not sleepy at all. He's making so much noise I can't even sleep properly."

"Watching Tang San get beaten up is much more interesting. Xiaowu was really on fire last night."

"Traveling is so boring. Let's see how much I gained last night."

Zhou Fan, bored out of his mind with his grass legs crossed, focused his mind and opened his attribute panel.

[Host: Zhou Fan]

[Gender: Male]

[Race: Blue Silver Emperor (Unawakened)]

[Spirit Skills: None]

[Divine Abilities: External Incarnation]

[Emotional Value: 102]

[Items: None]

Thanks to Tang San's contributions throughout the previous night, his emotional value had now broken through the 100-point mark.

"One hundred points of emotional value should be enough to exchange for most things in the初级商城. Let's see if there's anything fun."

Zhou Fan opened the初级商城 and carefully examined the items inside.

He had only glanced at it briefly before and hadn't paid much attention.

Upon reviewing the items again, he made some new discoveries.

**Sound Transmission Talisman**: Allows for voice transmission over a hundred li. One-time use item. Exchange for 50 emotional value points.

**Misfortune Talisman**: Select a target autonomously. Causes the target to be plagued by misfortune for ten minutes (can be stacked). Exchange for 50 emotional value points.

**Immobilization Talisman**: Can immobilize a soul master under level 30 for ten seconds (no cooldown). Exchange for 25 emotional value points.

"This初级商城 really knows what I like," Zhou Fan thought, very satisfied with the effects of the three talismans.

However, as he continued scrolling down, his expression became even more interesting.

**High-Power Flashbang**: The light produced can directly blind people (blinding effect varies by individual). Exchange for 100 emotional value points.

**Sildenafil Effervescent Tablet**: Instantly become a True Man! Those who use it know. Exchange for 200 emotional value points...

"Wow, there's even a flashbang?!"

"This商城 has turned into an armory! Could the intermediate商城 possibly have grenades and gatling guns?"

"And what's with this effervescent tablet? 'Instantly become a True Man'..."

Zhou Fan stared at the Sildenafil Effervescent Tablet, lost in thought.

After a short while, he suddenly clapped his hands (or the mental equivalent).

"I get it! This must be similar to Tryndamere's ultimate ability. Just not sure how long this 'invincibility' lasts."

"It's a lifesaver anyway. I must exchange for it once I save up enough emotional points!"

Zhou Fan glanced determinedly at the Sildenafil Effervescent Tablet, then exchanged for two Immobilization Talismans and one Misfortune Talisman.

A total of one hundred emotional value points were consumed.

The freshly broken hundred-point mark instantly fell back to single digits.

But Zhou Fan didn't mind.

He believed that by making good use of the three talismans he exchanged for, he could quickly accumulate a considerable amount of emotional value again.

"For the sake of becoming the Invincible True Man, little Tang San, obediently be my point-farming machine, hehehe..."

Just as Zhou Fan was scheming about how to stir up trouble, Tang San and Grandmaster had already arrived at the Spirit Hunting Forest.

At that moment, the sunset glow dyed the forest in shades of crimson and gold, also elongating the shadows of the two figures.

"Teacher, is this your spirit?"

Tang San looked curiously at the creature on the ground that resembled a dog in appearance, a pig in size, with light purple fur all over its body.

"Yes, his name is Luo Sanpao. Little San, today I will teach you your first lesson on spirits: Mutant Spirits."

Grandmaster nodded.

"Spirit mutations can be for better or worse. My spirit developed in an unfavorable direction. However, some spirits, due to mutation, can potentially evolve from ordinary spirits directly into top-tier spirits."

"Teacher, then does my Blue Silver Grass also count as a mutant spirit?"

Tang San asked.

Grandmaster glanced at Tang San, recalling the scene from yesterday, and said helplessly:

"Regarding your Blue Silver Grass, I'm still in the observation stage. The Blue Silver Grass spirit has a very low lower limit, but the fact that it awakened alongside that hammer of yours proves it's not simple. After you attach a spirit ring, you should be able to sense the changes in the Blue Silver Grass."

"However, there's one point you need to pay attention to. Your Blue Silver Grass may very well have developed intelligence, so you must completely control it. Otherwise, it could pose a very significant hidden danger when facing enemies in the future."

Hearing Grandmaster's answer, Tang San grew even more curious about his Blue Silver Grass.

He also knew that the Blue Silver Grass seemed to have a mind of its own, but he couldn't figure out for the moment how to control it.

"Teacher, I understand."

"Hmm."

The two stopped their conversation and continued deeper into the forest.

Luo Sanpao walked at the front, sniffing here and there.

When the two entered a patch of bushes, Luo Sanpao suddenly became alert and barked.

As the spirit master and his spirit are connected, Grandmaster also instantly looked in a certain direction.

There, to the left front, six pairs of green, glowing eyes had appeared out of nowhere, staring fixedly at them.

"These are Netherworld Wolves!"

Grandmaster's voice was low but not panicked.

He kept his gaze fixed ahead and called out softly: "Sanpao!"

"Roro!"

Luo Sanpao let out a low roar, followed by a sound like a hurricane sucking in air. Its already fat belly expanded at an astonishing rate, looking like an inflating ball.

Grandmaster waved his hand, and one of the spirit rings around his body immediately flew out and settled around Luo Sanpao.

Just as he was about to shout "Fart like thunder, shake the heavens and split the earth, Luo Sanpao!", the Netherworld wolves seemed to have seen something terrifying and all began to retreat.

Tang San thought it was Luo Sanpao's威慑力 that made these Netherworld wolves afraid.

But when he glanced at Grandmaster's expression, he was taken aback.

At this moment, Grandmaster wasn't relaxing because the wolves retreated. On the contrary, he looked even more grave, with a trace of apprehension mixed in.

In a heavy tone, he said:

"Little San, prepare for battle. We're in big trouble!"
