"I haven't seen you in a while, Lady Catherine", Arthur said, pleasantly surprised that Cathy just turned up at his door. "I come to ask you to arrange a different carriage for us as requested by my mistress tomorrow. She does not want to share a carriage with the emperor," Cathy said absentmindedly.
"Is everything okay?" Arthur asked, concerned, standing from his chair, paperwork strewn all over the table.
"Yes, I just scolded the emperor", she said, her voice full of uncertainty. "I can't believe I just did that", she added, pacing around.
"Sit first, okay? I am sure you had your reasons as to why you did that. Tell me about it," he said as he kneeled to her eye level.
Cathy mentioned all that happened between her and the emperor as Arthur, still on one knee in front of her, listened to it.
