Evie and the emperor took a walk within the palace garden in the Supreme Pavilion. The breeze was so nice, lightly brushing against her heated cheeks. Even though they had left the dining hall, Reign was still holding her hand as they walked side by side. After a small walk, he led her back to his bedchamber, the silence between them stretching.
The heavy door shut behind them, shutting out the outside world into their bubble. The bedchamber was the grandest room she had seen within the palace. The whole room was decorated in black and gold with a few candles in the room, not enough for such a big room, creating a hazy, dim light that filled the whole room. A sandalwood smell lingered in the air. The room looked just like an emperor's room.
In the middle of the room was a large king-sized bed made with a black velvety bedsheet. On top of the bed were the nightclothes for Evie and the emperor.
