Chapter 1.

The sun had set a long time ago and the sky above the city was dark, only illuminated by neon street lights. The streets were busy and crowded with passerbys and tired people coming home from work. Office hours were over a long time ago. Offices were closed by now. But one particular office building, well that's what it was from the outside and that's how it was represented to normal people, was still open. And at the office room on the 12th floor, a secret grim discussion was going on.

The office room was dimly lit. A tall, broad shouldered man stood in front of the large glass window, looking outside at the city below. The city looked even more beautiful from there. He was a total six foot in height. He had an athletic strong muscular physique, with sculpted rippling muscles, a strong solid chest and a total eight packs abs.

He wore an expensive formal white shirt, tucked into black formal pants and expensive leather belt at the waist, a black tie at the collar and an expensive black suit. His black hair neatly brushed and set with expensive hair gel. He was twenty eight. strikingly handsome and attractive. He had piercing blue eyes full of cunning intelligence. His eyes were sharp enough to see through any motive and scheme. He had a sharp nose, thin lips, high cheekbones, pointed angular chin, defined strong jaw line. He was handsome but the sharpness of his features and cunning cruelty in his face made any sane person avoid him.

He was Gabriel Winter.

One of the most powerful crime lord in the underworld.

The leader of the gang.

"Your mission is to trap Willium Jakson and bring him to me. Got it, Roxanne?"

Said Gabriel. His strikingly handsome face serious. His back towards the woman standing in front of the desk.

This woman was Roxanne Adams.

Age twenty four.

She was a tall woman, total five foot eight inches in height. She was slim and had a curvy figure. Her waist thin. She had flat belly. Beautiful proportionate yet curvy figure. Long silky smooth golden blonde voluminous wavy hair cascaded down her back to her waist in smooth waves. Smooth bangs framed her strikingly alluringly beautiful face. She had large, expressive green eyes framed by long voluminous thick lashes. But her eyes were so full of cruel cunning calculating cleverness that one sensitive enough can't look at them for very long. Her gaze was like that of a poisonous snake's. Her lips were alluringly red and glossy.

Her deep red pencil skirt reached her thighs. The back edge of it slitted a little. Her attractive legs revealed mostly. Her high heals and netted stockings made her legs appear even more alluring and seductive. Her beautiful round hips accentuated by the tightness of the skirt. Her white shirt tight on purpose and fitted her form perfectly. Her full round ample breasts highlighted and accentuated perfectly.

"I understand, sir. Consider the job is done." Replied Roxanne. Her soft melodious voice carrying a seductive edge. Her beautiful expressive green eyes full of mischief and cunning cleverness. Her soft red full lips curved into a seductive smirk.

Gabriel smirked as he turned to his lover. The smirk made his handsome face look even more devastating and cruel. He walked up to her and wrapped one of his strong muscular arm around her waist and pulled her flushed against him. His gaze dark with satisfaction and desire as he looked down at her. His blue eyes trailed shamelessly over her alluringly attractive body.

"Good. Do whatever you want to trap him. Seduce him. Let him touch you wherever he wants. But," Gabriel's blue eyes narrowed dangerously. "Do not let him enter you. Your holes are mine. Only I will ever enter you. No other man is ever allowed to touch there." He smirked as his large strong hand slapped her ass roughly. "You got it?"

Roxanne didn't flinch. Instead, her smirk widened. She looked up at him. Her sharp cruel green eyes gleamed with amusement. She trailed one of her manicured finger over his chest seductively.

"Of course, baby. I know exactly where the line is." She said smoothly, her voice silk over steel. Gabriel studied her for a long moment, his gaze sharp and assessing, as if weighing loyalty against ambition. Then he released her abruptly and turned back toward the window, the city lights reflecting coldly in his eyes.

"William Jackson is arrogant," he continued. "He thinks himself untouchable. That's his weakness. Make him believe you admire him. Make him believe he's winning. Now go. This mission is in your hands. Just don't underestimate him." Roxanne straightened, professionalism sliding back into place like a mask.

"I won't. I've already done my research. He frequents the same charity galas, the same private clubs. He likes to be seen as a savior." Her lips curved slightly. "Men like that are easy to guide." She smirked devilishly. "And once he's trapped, there's no going back. He'll lose everything."

"That," Gabriel said calmly, "is exactly the point.

🟥🟥🟥

As Roxanne walked through the hallway of the office, she suddenly stopped. Her green eyes narrowed. She could sense it. Someone was following her and she knew exactly who it was.

"Stop following me and come out. Clifford." She ordered. Her tone sharp and hard as steel.

The sound of a smooth chuckle came from behind, followed by lazy slow footsteps. "Well well well. You caught me. Your senses are extraordinary. I expected nothing less from the Golden thorn." Said a smooth deep velvety voice.

Golden Thorn. It's what Roxanne Adams was known in the underworld. She used to be one of the top assassins, infamous in the crime world for her ruthless strength and precision at assassination and murder. Her cunning intelligence, extraordinary physical strength, ruthless precision in murder, and golden blonde hair earned her the title, 'The Golden Thorn.'

She was in the wanted list of the police of many countries. But none had managed to catch her. She worked as an assassin for verious crime lords since she was sixteen. And she had never been caught by the police. Her life as an assassin ended when she started working as Lord Gabriel Winter's secretary. Roxanne was both his lover and secretary.

Roxanne slowly turned around. In front of her, a few steps away, stood a tall young man. He had messy reddish brown hair. Messy bangs framed his attractive handsome face. His had sharp brown eyes, a strong athletic physique. He wore a black shirt and black pants. A cunning smirk on his lips.

This young man is Clifford.

Age twenty.

A member of the gang, and worked as a spy for them.

"Hello, Miss Adams." He smoothly said, weaving a hand at Roxanne.

Roxanne's eyes narrowed dangerously as she glared at the young man.

"What do you want, Clifford? You better have a good reason for following me." She said. Her soft melodious voice now cold as ice. Her aura screamed of violence.

Clifford raised both of his hands in mock surrender. His smirk widening. He rolled his eyes and smoothly said, "Calm down, miss Adams. I am not here to fight. I just overheard about the mission boss just gave you. About Willium Jackson."

"You were evesdropping?" Roxanne said coldly.

"No!" Clifford said quickly, sensing the danger in Roxanne's tone. "I just happen to overhear."

Roxanne studied Clifford coldly. He continued, "So, isn't Willium one of the wealthiest businessmen in the country with property and money worth billions?"

Roxanne sighed as she relaxed a little.

"Yes. That's right."

Clifford smirked. "So, Miss Adams. Did boss give you the mission to assassinate him? Aren't you taking any weapons for this mission?"

Roxanne laughed cruelly.

"You got it all wrong, Clifford." She said.

She stepped closer to him and grabbed his coller, pulling him closer. Her eyes sparkling cunningly. She smoothly said. "First of all. Boss didn't ask me to kill him. My mission is simply to trap me." She smirked as she took her face closer to his. Her other hand delicately touched her own chest. "Besides," she said huskily. "This body of mine is the greatest weapon of all. I don't need anything else. These clothes I wear? They are mearly covers for the weapon beneath. And once this weapon is uncovered, it's all over."

She roughly released his coller, shoving him back. Clifford stumbled back slightly, gasping at her strength. His brown eyes widened. An uncomfortable silence fell in the empty hallway.

Then,

Clifford burst out laughing.

"You are shameless!" He laughed. "I guess this is why you are perfect for this mission. And this is why boss likes you so much. Good luck, Golden Thorn."

Roxanne gave Clifford a cold look. "I don't need luck. I never needed it."

She turned around on her heal and walked away.
