Eve stood still.
Found the bond.....warm, immediate, all three of them present in their different registers. Damian steady. Damon restless. Silas distant but constant, like a note held too long to hear as sound anymore, just felt as vibration.
Then underneath it.
Older.
The thing that had been there before New York, before the pendant, before any of it. The part of her that had pulled people toward her across a club floor without understanding why. That had made men lean in and women watch and rooms shift slightly on their axis when she moved through them.
Her nature. Just hers. Before she knew what it was.
"There," Raphael said quietly. He'd felt it....the shift in the room when she stopped managing and just....was. "That's what we're working with."
Eve breathed.
"Now let it out," he said. "Just slightly. Just enough to feel the edge of it."
She did.
The room changed.
