ARC 1 – CHAPTER 7

THE NIGHT OF THIRTY

PART 1

Thirty Men. One Shadow.

The warehouse stank of oil and fear. Thirty armed men spread across the floor, all looking for a ghost.

Kai perched above on the rafters, hood pulled low, eyes scanning. Guns, knives, explosives—every angle covered.

He exhaled slowly.

Let's begin.

With a silent flick of his wrist, the first flashbang rolled. Light and noise exploded, disorienting the men.

Chaos erupted.

Screams, gunfire, and metal clashing filled the air.

Kai moved like lightning. Tendrils shot from his arms, snapping weapons out of hands, slicing steel beams, turning cover into traps.

Thirty men thought they were hunting.

They didn't know who the predator was.

PART 2

Precision and Carnage

Every strike was calculated.

One man lunged—gone before he landed a punch

A pair aimed rifles—disarmed mid-spin, broken kneecaps

Another tried to flank—tendrils wrapped him like a vice, bones cracking

Kai's mind raced faster than his movements. Predicting shots, planning escapes, redirecting chaos.

The bio-organism pulsed with joy, stretching blades, forming whips. It wanted total destruction. Kai held it back—mostly.

Thirty men fell. Twenty. Fifteen. Ten.

The warehouse became a canvas of blood and fire.

By now, the survivors were panicking. Their perfect plan, obliterated by one shadow.

PART 3

The Boogeyman Emerges

The last few men tried to flee. Kai dropped from the rafters silently behind them.

A single motion—knife to throat, tendril to chest.

When the dust settled, the warehouse was empty of life. Only the echo of Kai's boots remained.

He recorded the carnage, sending the message across the city:

The Boogeyman doesn't miss.

The Boogeyman doesn't die.

The city shivered. Criminals whispered in fear.

Kai disappeared into the night, rain washing blood into the streets. The legend had grown.

The bio-organism pulsed inside him, hungry for more.

They know us now.

Kai smiled under his hood.

"Good. Let them fear. Let the city bleed rumors."
